Ratchet has not forgotten about Angela. Of course he hasn’t.
He wishes he knew the significance of being a Lombax when he first met her. Things might have been different. Instead, he has to lie awake at night wondering what happened to her. She just disappeared around the time he left to fight Dr. Nefarious the first time, leaving no trace at all.
He can’t help but feel guilty. He should have been in contact. He should have visited Grelbin sooner than he did. Maybe he could have prevented what happened.
It has been years now, and the hope of ever seeing the only other Lombax in existence seems lost. He doesn’t dare to even try to get the dimensionator working again. After the Progs, it was just too much of a risk.
Then one night, a signal appears. One that hasn’t been active since he was fighting for his life in the Dreadzone. Like a ghost from his past, the communicator of Angela Cross was online.
