Jason Todd thought he'd left second chances behind a long time ago. Working the land at Goldcreek Ranch under Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle, he figured all he had left was hard work, stubborn horses, and enough distance from the past to keep breathing.
But when Peter Parker steps off a battered bus — a kid hollowed out by grief after losing his parents and nearly all his friends in a plane crash — Jason finds himself saddled with something he wasn’t ready for: responsibility. Real responsibility. The kind that stirs up ghosts he thought he’d buried deep.
Haunted by restless nights and a fire inside him he can’t quite outrun, Jason knows one thing for sure — if Peter’s going to survive this place, he’ll have to teach him the same thing he taught himself: how to hold on when the whole damn sky’s trying to tear you down.

Summary
Peter’s gotten used to Gotham by now. The thousand little sounds that build up to the cacophony of a city in controlled chaos. But it isn’t home, and it never will be, and the more time passes, the more that thought makes him twitch. He’s frustrated by it, annoyed that he feels like he’s forcing his way through a world that doesn’t belong to him. Worse, the Soul Stone is starting to become more and more of an issue. As if it senses something coming.
Tony's last words had been 'the threat always comes back.' Thanos won't be thwarted forever, only delayed. Eventually, he's going to hunt down the stray Soul Stone that Peter holds.
The Bats have a few opinions on that. The Avengers that have fallen into this other world have a few of their own. And there's the problem of Dr. Strange's letter...

Damian Wayne watched the scene from the front window preening at her words. His position gave him a perfect view of the city, and the bright bolt of light the striked near the docks, quickly plunging every surrounding building into a blackout.
Peter Parker woke up burning and mournful and angry surrounded by a sky the color of concrete and buildings that towered over his bruised body. A damp pamphlet laid in front of him. "Welcome to Gotham"

This is my first fic and I have like no writing experience. I'm using my phone so the formatting might be weird but I really hope it isn't. Uh I don't know like anything about DC (sorry) but I'll do as much research as possible and I hate infrequent updates from people so I'll try as much as possible but I have a really busy schedule.
