Maybe wake up to a reveal of this entire encounter being some sick nightmare and she never showed such vulnerability to Kenny (who truly didn't deserve the burden of seeing her like that.)
"I don't expect you to understand it," Marjorine started off, letting the words fall off into the infinite atmosphere.
"No hurt in trying," Kenny encouraged.
"I s'pose it's a mental thing, right? It's- I just gotta- I'm not used to goin' on without slack n' I'm afraid that if I don't take it then I'll turn into a rotten person."
