Tony blinked twice, in disbelief at what he saw. A child, not even a teenager yet, was looking at him fearfully from behind the cell. "Oh shit.. guys, there's a child here."
Natasha gasped. "A child? Were they experimenting on him or is he the child of someone important?"
"I don't know, but shit, there's a lot of blood around, and the kid looks really malnourished.

The room was dark, and in the center of the bed, sitting between the rumpled sheets, was Damien.
The boy's breathing was labored and there was a slight blush on his cheeks. Jason scanned the scene with his eyes, trying to analyze what he was seeing.And then, his brain connected the dots.
His expression went from serious to horrified in a matter of seconds.
"You...damn it..." he muttered, running a hand over his face. He stood still for a second, then shook his head "Don't tell me you were doing what I think you were doing."

Summary
He probably shouldn't have accepted that assignment. Very probably. But here he is, bleeding to death on the dark streets of Gotham. He gasps, the air burning his lungs as he leans weakly against an alley wall. “Shit...” he whispers, spitting blood onto the dirty pavement.
The battle had left him limp, and the use of Shazam's lightning had taken too heavy a toll on him. Now, blood seeps down his throat, clogging his lungs, and each exhalation is harder than the last.
“God... please...” he whispers, voice cracking, in a thread of desperation. He tries to scream Shazam, tries to transform, but his body is too weak to respond.
The darkness spreads, the city and the pain fades. In that last instant, before he sinks into unconsciousness, he feels a pair of strong arms encircling him. He can barely fight back before he passes out completely.
Or; Billy Batson falls into the hands of Batman. Will this preteen accept the care of the insultingly rich Bruce Wayne?
(o, I mix the personality of the Billy Batson in the movie with his personality in some of the DC, like, young justice and other series an this come out).

Right after Boiling Rock, Zuko found Sokka sprawled in his tent with a bouquet of red roses, and a ring of romantic candles, and one final rose set between his teeth. With the littlest twinge of envy, Zuko realized the entire display was for Suki.
The point is Sokka's flirting is about as subtle as a buffalo yak. To miss it, you’d have to be a complete and utter airhead.

Gregory hasn't picked up a knife since that night. He hasnt had any reason to. Vanessa has also avoided being even near one like the plague.
He hadn't had a reason to for a long time. A year and a half, actually. Maybe just a bit less than that. Knives were scarce in a house full of people terrified of them, and they were never needed when Vanessa would find meals to make that distinctively did not require one to prepare.
But time has passed. A lot of it has. And Gregory should have known he wouldn't have been able hide from one forever.
(Gregory, while over at Tony's house, is asked to cut the vegetables for dinner. He never really was able to get over the feeling of the hilt of a knife in his hand.)
