Summary
He should be happy that he’s gotten another chance. He could change things now. He could right the mistakes of the past. He could save Mari, who was still alive and sleeping in her bed right now in that house next door. He could save Sunny, who had yet to push his sister down the stairs. He could save Basil, who was still kinda new to their friend group and maybe didn’t even know how important they all were to him. He could stop this chain of tragedy before it happened.

[Title's temporary, suggestions welcome (and invited). First time working with everything here, so. Lemme know if the tags are used incorrectly.]Unable to take the truth, Sunny jumps off the hospital roof and lands with a sickening crunch. But instead of going to hell, he wakes up in a familiar, comfortable bed, with a second bed beside him. He checks the calender - it's the day before the recital. A second chance, perhaps, to fix everything?
Mari is alive, Basil is his old happy self, Hero still does the best pancakes, Kel makes up stupid puns while Aubrey hits him with an eggplant. To Sunny, after what he's been through in his old life, it's almost heaven. But is everything *really* as rosy as it seems? Well, maybe Sunny isn't exactly in a state to judge either.

Summary
Basil has been trapped in fear for four years, finding comfort in his ‘garden.’ Still, he longs for the insight that would help him make sense of his ordeal, but he cannot allow himself to know the truth. This self-preservation makes him unable to develop and comprehend more about himself. He is at the point of finding out the truth, where the door is shut, for confusion to crawl out of the room he is clinging to.
