“It’s a bit cold, no?” Eddie called out, the wind carrying his voice to Steve’s ears.
Steve blinked like he wasn’t sure if Eddie was talking to him or not. Which, fair. Usually, Eddie would rather shove a banana up his nose than talk to a jock, let alone Steve Harrington - and in public.
Steve looked around before deciding that, yes, Eddie indeed was talking to him. “What?”
Eddie shook his head. He shouldn’t be wasting his time talking to meatheads like him. It would only make him lose brain cells.
But alas, curiosity killed the cat, “I mean, since Hell froze over, it’s gotten a bit chilly.”
Steve looked like he was asked to solve a NASA-level math problem. Eddie sighed. It would seem he was going to have to spell things out.
“Seeing you? Steve Harrington, on the other side of the tracks?” Eddie whistled, “Didn’t know you knew this side of town existed. Thought people like you would only come over if Hell froze over.”
“Trust me, Hell is not very warm. Dusty, mostly.”
