Maybe Alhaitham is right that Kaveh has gone mad. There’s no other explanation for this. Kaveh desperately rubbed his eyes so hard he was sent to the galaxy before opening them eagerly again. It's still there, gazing at Kaveh with judging eyes.
The creature, the bird, the eagle, is still perched on Alhaitham’s shoulder. The eagle is mainly the same color as Alhaitham’s hair, gray with green tips here and there. It even has the same bouncy lock at the top of its head and a gem in its chest area. And it's staring at Kaveh like he’s the stupidest person it ever met, same as Alhaitham’s gaze at the moment.
In which a leyline disorder made Kaveh see Alhaitham's emotions in the form of an eagle.

Blue Kaveh's begging was cut short when the door to the house they were staying in was slammed open and Kaveh walked in, panting harshly.

Summary
Lounging on the couch with a big fluffy dog on top of him, Alhaitham sighed and closed his eyes. A hand came up to rub Mehrak's head, scritching the area behind the dog's ear. Mehrak let out a low rumble, pleased that Alhaitham is giving her attention.
"Don't let Kaveh know your name, okay? He told me that if he ever managed to adopt an animal, he would call it Mehrak. Considering that I haven't heard of him adopting pets- Kaveh doesn't have to know."
Tighnari told Alhaitham to adopt a dog to quell Alhaitham's "loneliness." For once, Alhaitham listened.

Summary
Alhaitham is in love with Kaveh and he never expected the feeling to be reciprocated. Alhaitham knows Kaveh will never see him that way. Alhaitham isn't Kaveh's type, he will never be. Kaveh wants someone smaller than him, leaner, beautiful. Someone who can appreciate art and romance. Someone who will not argue with him at the smallest of things. Someone who treats him kindly, and that doesn't say the meanest things in the bluntest way. It can never be Alhaitham.
So when Kaveh was almost not at Alhaitham's home at the times he should be free, Alhaitham set off to find out where his roommate has gone. Turns out, Kaveh is meeting up with Nilou. Alhaitham watched them in the Bazaar, talking animatedly and laughing. Alhaitham watched as Kaveh's cheeks are turning a soft pinkish color, blushing from what Nilou said. Alhaitham watched as Nilou covered her mouth, giggling softly.

The beginning of letting go. Ending with two people mirroring each other reaching out, hands and hearts intertwined, never to part again.

Summary
For the second time, Kaveh found himself breathless. Long ashen locks fading to white at the tips, green highlights peeking underneath the already semi dry locks—this creature sure does get dry easily—and an adorable fluffy strand of hair curling at the top, bouncing lightly every time the owner moves. Beneath those, a pair of striking light turquoise eyes with yellow diamond shaped pupils encased within red orange. Saying it's ethereal is a severe understatement.
In the area where there should be ears, there are fins the same color as his scales but leaning more on being translucent. It's flicking lightly, probably because the creature is getting irritated.
"Are you quite done staring?" The beautiful creature asked, annoyed by Kaveh's ogling.

Summary
Jing Yuan receives a fatal blow, but instead of passing on peacefully to the afterlife, he regains consciousness to find himself transported into the past, before the Quintet had formed.
This second chance he resolves to live without regrets, to prevent the tragedies to come, and to pursue his first loves.
Aka I had Feels about Jing Yuan being…kind of left behind in the past after 1.2. Wrote this to comfort myself.
Note: This is our present day in-game aged Jing Yuan transported into the past. I conveniently made no existing Jing Yuan present in that “alternate universe”.
