Dick’s luck had finally run out. He knew Bruce would kill him if he found out, it’s not like he meant to get stabbed right before the big Wayne Foundation Spring Gala. He’d just wanted a few hours of Nightwing-time to clear his head, which he honestly deserved if he was going to the gala. Besides, the Wayne clan had an image to maintain, so he would go. Anyway, it was always fun to see Brucie make an appearance, though it may be a little less enjoyable with a stab wound.

Dick gets stabbed on patrol right before a gala, decides it's no big deal, and goes anyway. This may not have been the best plan.

Tim was sixteen years old, soon to be seventeen. For most, this would be a great time, a time where pups began to get ready to become adults, to step out into the world as full members of society. This was the time when they got ready, for college, for jobs, to graduate.It was also a time for learning, to experiment and grow and learn just what it meant to be their particular designation, whether Alpha, Beta, or Omega. This was about the time when ruts and heats started to ramp up and get more intense, when Alphas and Omegas might start to get different urges and not just the ones urging for family. It was about learning control, learning about yourself, so that when they finally reached eighteen and stepped outside the house, they wouldn’t be completely inept members of society ruled by their instincts.
Tim was not doing any of that. Except maybe the graduation thing, but that was just because Jason would probably skin him if he dropped out of high school, and Tim had about zero interest in provoking the Omega like that.
