Summary
“If I spoke sense and what seemed sense to me,
the voice of contradiction shouted twice as loud
indeed, it was to get away from my opponents’ blows
that I withdrew to dreary solitude
and, not to live neglected and alone,
then put myself into the devil’s hands.”
-Goethe’s Faust———
Newly framed for Hannibal's murders, Will Graham awaits his trial in prison, slowly concocting his revenge-slash-justice. The outside world, however, is shifting, and nobody knows what's going on — least of all Hannibal Lecter.
(Or, a Season 2 AU in which Hannibal begins to realize that he is quite literally an incarnation of the devil.)

”Both of us knew they were coming, Will.”
“Not today. Not here.”
(or, post-fall, Will and Hannibal are attacked, and Hannibal reflects)

Fury runs beneath Will’s skin like poison through his bloodstream. Suddenly, he wants more than anything to see Hannibal hurt. He wants to see that false indifference ripped away like they’ve ripped organs from living bodies. He needs to watch him crumble.
“On your knees,” he says.
“Will—“
“I said,” Will snarls, “on your knees.”
(or, Hannibal flirts with a pretty stranger at the bar, and Will decides to put him in his place.)
