Summary

Summary
“Well, this is the game. It is remarkably simple. You just have to steal Merlin’s neckerchief.” Immediately, complaints erupted from the knights.
“The neckerchief? He always wears it!”
“How are we supposed to steal it?”
“Merlin never takes it off for some reason — no way I’m going to risk my life and find out why!”
“Silence!” Arthur stared at the group, incredulous. “My knights, the most feared in the five realms, are terrified of my manservant?” They hung their heads in shame. “Even a squire probably could nick it off the idiot!”
“Is the squire still alive?” said a knight under his breath. Around him, his fellow brethren nodded their agreement, avoiding Arthur’s eye as he snorted.
“Merlin can be scary, Sire,” tried Lancelot. Arthur still looked like he seriously disagreed with the statement but after seeing the effect one pathetic coward had on a score of knights, he was forced to accept that yes, the Knights of Camelot feared Merlin the Buffoon.
Or 5 times Arthur gets blindsided by Merlin's ingenuity to stop the heists involving his neckerchief and 1 time Merlin gives up.

Summary
“Don’t come closer,” Merlin begs, throwing an arm out, and that– the hand attached to that arm is what halts Arthur in his place.
It's blood-drenched from whatever lifesaving measures he might have attempted, but more importantly, where the back of it was pale and smooth the last time Arthur looked, it is now covered in what look like dragon scales.
