Summary
AU where Buddy hires Duke and Dahlia Rose instead of Nureyev and Juno so they have to play married while also acclimating to the Aurinko Crime Family:
Duke and Dahlia Rose are two of the best thieves on this side of Saturn. They robbed the Utgard Express and disappeared without a trace, leaving one of the solar system’s most infamous thieves in the dust and pulling off an impossible heist to boot. They stole the Ruby 7 without so much as a single hitch, and there are still whispers of their prowess every time a high-profile crime is committed without any name attached to it.
They also don’t exist.
Alternatively, what happens if Juno’s trying to communicate better, Nureyev’s trying to file things away, and Buddy takes her “fake dating” style of matchmaking to the next level?

Buddy loves her wife beyond all measure. She loves Vespa when she is scared, when she is happy, when she is loving, when she is haunted. Always. So it stands to reason that she loves Vespa when she is categorically incorrect.
Or: Crime lesbian does her best to matchmake a certain master thief and a certain private eye. Results may vary.

Summary
AU where Juno solves the Kanagawa case on his own and meets Nureyev when he tries to break in to steal it. But he thinks Nureyev is a one-night stand. It goes about as well as you’d expect it to:
There is a man slinking his way through Juno’s room. He’s dressed simply enough, but it’s clear that the man is wearing last night’s clothes. Juno may deny it when it comes up in daily conversation, but he knows he has a type. This nameless man, with his sharp teeth, that lethal grace and focused expression- well. He certainly fits the bill. It looks like Juno found someone to take home after all, even if he can’t quite remember how exactly they fell into bed. It wouldn’t be the first time.

What if Benzaiten Steel was alive and well? What if Juno had a slightly better support system and a slightly looser view of crime? What if he already knew the Aurinko Crime Family? What if Nureyev had no debts, and Miasma was simply not an issue?
If you find yourself asking any of these questions, the Everything-is-Okay-verse is for you! I love canon very much, but I also simply do not vibe with adhering to that much negativity (/j). This is mostly a fun thought experiment to see how the characters’ relationships might play out differently.

Summary
After a twenty year career — between his peak at Chelsea and England, his frequent mentions in the gossip rags back when he couldn’t stop sleeping with the wrong people, his stint as a Sky commentator, and the way that the Mannion divorce, not to mention all things Ted Lasso, had seen news about Richmond constantly escape containment of the sports pages and make major headlines in recent years — it’s actually quite rare for people to not recognise Roy. Especially in London.
It’s why he’s so amused when the — Aussie? Kiwi? Somewhere down there, anyway — woman waves him down and demands he brings her a drink. The fact that she’s apparently there with Tom Kapoor, the star of some of Jamie’s favourite trashy action films, that Roy and Keeley both get a kick out of watching Jamie watch — he’s so reactionary — who clearly has recognised Roy, just makes it even better.

Summary
“I can’t send this to the publisher,” his agent announces, before Trent can even say hello. “Are you serious, Trent? If this is some sort of joke, I don’t get it—”
“It’s not a joke,” he says levelly, pouring himself a second scotch. “I’m being professional, that’s all. If I wrote a book about my mother I’d have to disclose she was my mother.”
“Interestingly, the identity of your mother would not fetch quite so many headlines as you being in hopeless gay love with a Premier League manager—”
“No need for the ‘gay’ part,” Trent tells her. “Just ‘hopeless love’ will do, thanks.”
