The Gladers expect the month's Greenie to be just like usual, just another boring boy. But to their surprise, this Greenie comes out swinging. Another surprise is the fact that their new Greenie is a girl. While in the Glade, she has to find companions and escape with her life while also trying to figure out why she's the only girl to be sent into the Glade.
(What if one of the characters had the common sense that the teenage boys are lacking. Absolutely no hate to them, I love them)
This story starts about a year and a half before Thomas shows up.
