"When Charlie Spring was little, he was known as a happy, exuberant, and imaginative child - universally liked by everyone in his orbit.
Before long, circumstances began to slowly smother the optimism and excitement he exuded. He would grow up too much, too soon, making him withdraw and isolate."
This is a story about a boy growing up in an environment where he feels he doesn't belong, he doesn't fit in, and all he wants is someone to stand by his side. Charlie's story is one of courage and resilience, of facing innumerable challenges yet still being true to himself, refusing to compromise on his innate values and beliefs. It is a story of hope.
This fic will build a different backstory for Charlie, but his character will, in essence, be similar to canon. Charlie will meet Nick at uni. This is not a slow burn, they are immediately gone for each other and they will have their romance and happy ending despite some challenges and road bumps along the way. This is Nick and Charlie we're talking about.
Despite the heavy angst tagging, there will be loads of fluff to balance!
For the first time ever, I am creating original characters and it's been so much fun to do!

Summary
This is a reimagined first week after Nick and Charlie have their beach date and become "official" boyfriends (although in Nick's mind this is not new news). It starts with Sunday evening, with Charlie reminiscing and daydreaming of the amazing day they had.
But it can't be smooth sailing, because of course it can't, but we will see these two sweet idiots in love work through this first speed bump as boyfriends.
Happy end is a given, this is Nick and Charlie we're talking about!

Not only is it infamous for being the most stressful week of rehearsals, but it gets especially overwhelming when your stage manager and your lead actor won’t stop arguing.
Unfortunately, it happens to be especially overwhelming for the University of Leeds at the moment.*** OR ***
An alternate universe where StageManager!Nick and Actor!Charlie meet on the set of their university’s production of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”. The only problem is that Charlie seems to hate Nick for reasons completely unknown to anyone.
Will they stop arguing long enough to realise that this hatred could be hiding something more?
