Summary
Eliot Waugh is content to let his life continue as it is. He gets to spend every day with his best friend Margo, he's waited on hand and foot, and he gets to help rule the fantastical country of Fillory. What even could be missing from all that? Margo thinks what's missing from her own life is romance. Eliot's happy to be her wingman on that front, but when he tries to assist Margo on her quest for True Love, someone with sinister intentions intervenes, and Eliot finds himself magically transported to a much less fantastical place: New York City.
Nothing interesting has ever really happened to Quentin Coldwater. He works with his best friends. He's a single dad to a great kid, his son Teddy. His girlfriend Alice is pretty and smart, and, okay, their relationship isn't going too well, but that's entirely on Quentin. Quentin's just too nervous to introduce her to his friends, because of what happens when people love him: they leave.
When Quentin and Eliot's paths collide, can Quentin help Eliot find his way home?

Summary
Eliot had returned to the bedroom, immaculately dressed in fine Fillorian garb, before Q had even finished getting dressed. Which meant that Q was actually shirtless, hair still rumpled from sleep, and at his most vulnerable, when Eliot gave him a strange look, his fingers fiddling with the buttons on his vest, and said -
"Quentin. I really don't know how to say this, so I'm just going to say it." And then he'd swallowed, clenched his jaw once, and stilled the motion of his hands. He leveled Q with an even, piercing stare, and said: "We need to break up."
[...]
Quentin blinked, the reality of the moment slamming into him. Suddenly, he wasn't heartbroken or devastated or betrayed, just... fucking panicked. Because if Eliot was breaking up with him, something was wrong with Eliot.

Summary
Quentin Coldwater, high-fantasy wunderkind and eternal sucker for a good hero, only needs one thing: to finish the last book of his trilogy.
Eliot Waugh, genre-busting enfant terrible and antihero (at best) of his own not-so-thinly-veiled life story, doesn’t need anything at all.
A middle-of-winter book tour reveals, one snow-covered city at a time, that there may be something else they both (desperately) need. If only they can let themselves have their own happy ending.

Summary
“It’s not a crush, I’m a grown man,” Eddie counters, setting his mug down. He crosses his arms and tries not to fidget. “That’s silly.”
“What, so you’re in love with him?”
The question hits him somewhere near his ribcage. Eddie has to actively use every part of his brain to respond, correctly. Without—saying anything crazy. “Buck, he’s a famous singer.”
...or, Eddie has a crush on Orville Peck, who totally does not look like Buck.
