    “What’re you making?”

Master Dooku is gesturing at Qui asking why the remains of some long-perished vermin is parked in the middle of the caf table, but Qui cannot explain through gestures alone that this is a creative hobby, not a red flag.

    “A windchime,” Xana says tightly.

Obi-Wan peers at the table for a long time.

“Out of those?” he asks, pointing at the bones.

(Xanatos comes home and Qui-Gon ends up with two padawans at the same time at wildly different stages of life. The lineage comes together to try to help both get settled, and of course it can't be straightforward.)

    Summary

Obi-Wan Kenobi found Kamino nine years too early, crashing while on a lone mission with Anakin still at the Temple. He finds an army of children, a single father that is barely holding it together, and over a hundred Mandalorian warriors.
And he doesn't know what to do.
It gets even more complicated when he's told he's not allowed to leave.

    Summary

In one universe, Obi-Wan Kenobi became a Padawan to Qui-Gon Jinn after the mess that was Bandomeer and ended up living through the destruction of the Jedi Order as he knows it.

In this universe, Qui-Gon Jinn refuses to be swayed into taking a Padawan even after everything that happens on Bandomeer and leaves Obi-Wan Kenobi to his fate as a member of the Agri-Corps. However, his fate was to become a Jedi Master to be written down in the annals of history, not a farmer on some backwater planet in the Outer Rim. Throw in some bone-crushing pats on the back from the Force and some liberal abuse of legal and temple loopholes by a hated, barebones, and struggling Service Corps and you have the perfect mixture to throw Obi-Wan even further than he ever could have made it otherwise.

Only time will tell, however, if it will be enough to overcome the Thousand Year plot of the Sith.

There are storms you weather and storms you become. He walks into the desert hoping only to survive, but the winds strip him down to something truer, and the sand leaves no piece of him untouched.

    Or

The one where Obi-Wan disappears, and the Jedi Order keeps telling itself it's looking, even as it turns its gaze elsewhere.
