Martin and his friends are celebrating him moving into his new flat and getting through the first week in their new position as Archival Assistants at the Magnus Institute. When a neighbor upset at the noise knocks to tell the group to keep it down, Martin learns his new boss is also his new neighbor.

“Thank you, that was kind of you.” Jon says, reaching for his mug and glancing at the plate. “Oh, sorry, I didn’t order any food.”
“Oh, right. Tim insisted.”
“Of course he did.” Jon chuckles quietly, adjusting his glasses and running a hand awkwardly through his slightly outgrown hair. “Well, thank you, ah…” he stops as he realises he doesn’t actually know the name of the barista he’s seen every morning for months. 'He had to have told me at some point…right? He looks like a ‘Sam’, maybe?'
“Martin,” he chuckles. “My name is Martin.”
“Martin.” Jon repeats softly. “Thank you, Martin.” he smiles.

Summary
(I'm very easily and heavily inspired by songs, this fic is inspired by Bad Man by E.R. Fightmaster)
Tim ambushes Jon after finding out about his "research" into the assistants regarding Gertrude's death. Martin helps clean up the aftermath, and Tim goes out of town for the weekend for some space. Jon and Martin spend some quality time together, and some personal feelings are revealed.

“You’re watching my house?!” Tim yelled in Jon’s face.
Jon’s eyes were wide, and he was visibly shaking. He looked terrified. There wasn’t a doubt that if Tim wanted to he could seriously harm, if not kill him. “Tim, I-I’m sorry! I really- I don’t know- I was just-!”
“You were just what? Trying to figure out if I’m the killer?” Tim laughed. Jon’s toes were the only thing touching the ground at this point and he was trying to pull his tie away from his neck. Maybe Tim didn’t realize he was choking him.
