    Batman sighed, the dramatic shadows on his face retreating as a blur of red and yellow cartwheeled past. “I’m sure.”
    “I’m just saying-” Robin pushed himself into a handstand, legs wiggling not from lack of balance but from an excess of energy. “We’re already in costume. We could go down and hit a few houses, then go back to looking for Scarecrow.”
    “And if Scarecrow launches an attack while you’re getting your candy?” Batman pointed out.
    “We’ll be ready!” Robin pushed off his hands and landed in a fighting stance. “Hiyah!”

    It's Halloween night in Gotham, and Batman (with his new young ward Robin) is on the case after catching wind of threats of fear toxin. On the trail of Scarecrow, and doing a favor for his "will they won't they" Catwoman, he already has his hands full without having to keep an energetic child focused on something besides Halloween fun.

    “Of course.”
    Clark’s gaze whipped back to Batman, a grin swallowing up his face.
    “The tooth fairy?” He asked.
    “Yes, Superman.” Batman said flatly. Clark didn’t need x-ray vision to know that he was raising a challenging brow. “The tooth fairy.”

    Robin loses a tooth on patrol under Superman’s watch. Dick Grayson, Bruce Wayne’s ward, shows up to a gala with a missing tooth in the exact same spot. Surely this means nothing!
