Summary
It all went without much issue, until the big blue giant opened his mouth and uttered the next few words in the same syrupy tone.
“That's it, you are doing so good.”
Oh.
If Bruce was a lesser man, he would have stopped dead in his tracks. As it was, he simply disguised his stumble as an irregular patch of concrete and carried on.
Where had that come from?
Aka; Bruce needed to learn echolocation yesterday. He should learn something from the bats in his cave, then he wouldn't be forced to have realisations about himself in unfortunate situations like this.

Sensei was a fool. A foolish angel promising his golden ichor to greedy, greedy humans, smiling as he did so. And Kakashi was a greedy, greedy human. If this ichor brought him closer to his ideal, to the pedestal he had placed Minato-sensei on, he would drink without question.
Or; Minato's value to Konoha prevents him from being able to take a genin team during war times. Thankfully, they had another option waiting, happy to help.

Summary
It was a place of quiet comfort for the man, somewhere he could be completely and entirely alone.
Well, alone with a block of marble. A rather large block of marble. It belonged to one of the pillars of the first palace, one of the pillars that had broken under the impact of the earthquake, splintering and breaking into pieces. It was roughly similar in height to him, with maybe half feet advantage. It had been moved to the area surrounding the gazebo along with the other broken pieces during reconstruction, and remained the only one that had yet to be removed. It seemed to mock his sullen figure, standing tall and proud as if it hadn't been a part of Kaveh’s life that had broken so spectacularly.

There’s a ghost haunting the 141 common room. At least, Soap is about 80% sure there is, which is, in fairness, realistically about as sure as anyone could reasonably be about spooks haunting their workplace. He’s not stupid, he knows no one else is going to believe him if he brings it up. The scorn if he suddenly starts harping on about ghosties and ghoulies.
None of that negates the fact that there definitely is one though. Probably.

Instead of lunging at him, the monster stumbled, as it tried to stand, and Clark saw as a child's leg slipped out of a big black boot before tangling in a yellow belt, small, very childish hands trying and failing to catch it. And maybe… And maybe it wasn't a monster at all, because as Clark watched, transfixed, the kid - because it had to be a kid, he didn't seem to be older than Clark- face planted on the floor without making even a single noise.

Summary
There were legends about Gotham Reef. Legends that said it was haunted by a beast of foul temper. Stories told of a ravenous she beast that feasted on the flesh of men, and was said to be more hideous than Satan himself. Others told of a woman with eyes that glowed like gold to lead sailors to their death. Some even spoke of a witch that cursed men and wreck their ships, taking all their treasures with it. When Clark’s catamaran is wrecked by a terrible storm, he learns that the stories were oh so far from true.

Ghost is motionless, staring down at John's outstretched hand like he's trying to recall on which page of How to Behave Like a Real Human in Polite Society he’s previously seen the gesture.
Before things can get awkward, John turns the aborted handshake into a jovial, manly sort of punch to Ghost’s shoulder. It's rather like how he imagines it would be to hit an adult moose, both in the physical sensation and in the frisson of anticipated danger it elicits. Gamely, he says, “Truck’s just about set, sir. Glad to be working with you.”
Ghost’s eyes flick up to John’s face, and then higher, to his hair. He frowns.
