They’ve tracked Wesker to yet another estate owned by Spencer and Umbrella. Rumor is he’s there, and alone. And is most likely to be gone by morning. They don’t have time to wait for backup. They don’t have time to stick together, either.

Wesker’s studying him. Calculating. Chris tries to shift beneath him, but Wesker doesn’t budge. If anything, he presses into him harder, and Chris feels something spark up his spine.
They’re in uncharted territory now, but somehow have been here before, too.

“Sir Ghost?” Johnny replies with a laugh from his seat, “Horseshite that’s his real name. You sure some wanker didn’t make their way into the tourney?”
“Guess we’ll see, won’t we,” Price answers him with a chuckle.
“Next up we have a late entry, along with a mysterious face, and an even more mysterious name,” cries the announcer, “Sir Ghost versus Sir Nolan!”
“Now here’s something interesting,” Johnny says, sitting forward in his seat to get a better look at the man. He can’t see much past the armor and helmet, but he can tell the man is massive, towering over the attendants below as well as the other fighters.

“You’ve done me a great honor, sir,” he says, dropping to his knees to worship at the altar of his god. “Allow me to thank you for it.”
He hears Makarov’s soft chuckle before a hand comes up to hold his chin, the touch light but guiding all the same. “You haven’t changed at all, have you?”
“Never, my Vova,” Andrei breathes the promise, his eyes drifting shut as Makarov’s fingers trail up and back down the side of his face.
Makarov hums thoughtfully above him, still stroking his face. “Go on, then,” he answers after a moment.

Simon brings Johnny closer to his chest, unable to tear his attention from the vacant look in Johnny’s eyes, or the slackness to his expression that’d never been there before, not even in sleep. He’s gone. Johnny's gone. Simon holds him tighter and dips his head.
A muffled whirring sounds from somewhere to his left.
And when Simon opens his eyes, it’s not the lifeless body of Johnny staring back at him at all. No, it’s a ceiling yellowed from smoke, it’s cloying damp eating through rotting wallpaper.

“Wesker?” He whispered, voice hoarse and rough as though his throat was dry with dust.
That heat, the weight of his body, Wesker let his arms slip around the reanimation. Chris leaned in, face pressed into the crux of Wesker’s neck and shoulder, shaking and still taking deep shuddering breaths.
His right hand slid up Chris’ spine, and felt the careful sewn slit that would leave a beautiful white scar upon the back of Christopher’s skull, and a deviant smile of sincere pleasure overcame him before he might help himself.

Albert Wesker resurrects his old nemesis for the final, true vengeance that had driven him mad since Redfield's untimely death in 2009. But the Chris who returns to him is not the same one he killed five years ago - and instead a frightening new culmination of emotions and shadows are brought to the surface of the murky disposition of his soul.
