Steve’s earlier claim at Family Video remained. Santa Claus could definitely go fuck himself. The big guy hand delivered a lump of coal gussied up in delicious black skinny jean wrapping. Even the way his hair fell along his shoulders, curly and begging to be between someone’s fingers, personified ribbons around a Christmas present. Obviously Dustin did not have the foresight to mention, or at least imply goddammit, Eddie Munson was sex-on-legs, but a little heads up would have been nice. The same Eddie that sowed seeds of envy in that ugly, insecure section of Steve’s brain. Wasn’t that a trip? Eddie draped himself lazily against the wall, the best damn decoration in this whole house. Steve needed water, like badly.
