Summary
Stiles saw the red light, staring ahead as it passed overhead -- and kept going. He didn’t even stop.
He didn’t even flinch.
It felt almost as if he wasn’t truly present in the driver’s seat, instead being somewhere behind the wheel, watching through the windshield as if it were nothing more than a screen. He felt floaty, entirely detached.
He barely registered the speedometer as it climbed, streetlights streaking into lines in his window. He barely registered when red and blue lights joined in the mix behind him, almost blinding in the rearview mirrors as colors blended together.
It was just lights.

Summary
There was something to Jayce that Viktor couldn't pinpoint why it annoyed him. Perhaps it was how the other man carried himself when he walked into the study, or perhaps the look on his face as he pondered the equations upon the board with curiosity and mesmer; it could even be the way he reached a hand out to trace the incomprehensible shapes idly without smudging away the chalk. It wasn't until the man spoke did Viktor realize why an air of annoyance clung to him.
"This equation here is incorrect."
Confidence on the tip of his tongue, though no true smugness behind his words; Viktor was far to stubborn to acknowledge this fault and simply decided his company wasn't a gift but more of a nuisance.
Or..
Viktor doesn't like his newest lab partner.
