Summary
He lets the guy drag him to the dancefloor, lets him put his hands on his waist after guiding Steve’s arms so they wrap around his neck. They’re pushed against each other by the people moving around them, and Steve’s stomach flip-flops again when their chests and hips press together.
Maybe his plan was a good idea. This does clear some things up.
Turns out Steve is into guys. Huh.
He’s definitely into dancing with someone as tall as he is, and he’s into big hands gripping his waist and the scratch of stubble when they move closer and their cheeks press together.
He’d probably be into kissing this guy, grinding against him, dragging him back to his car for more–
Or at least he would if his mind didn’t keep drifting to someone else– the reason why, after years of blissfully ignoring this part of himself, Steve finally decided to explore it.
Eddie. And Steve’s now confirmed crush on him.

Summary
Steve reaches the phone on the last ring, panting into the receiver, slightly out of breath. “Hello?”
He expects anyone from Robin to Dustin or one of the kids on the other side. Maybe Nancy or Eddie. He even entertains the thought of his parents being the ones calling, maybe to inform him that they’re staying away for another week–
“Harrington?”
He expects literally anyone except for the person he hears on the other end of the line.
Eyebrows knitted together, Steve stares at the phone like it’s somehow playing a prank on him. “Gareth?”

Summary
Eddie is the luckiest bastard on the planet.
He has to be.
There’s no other way around it.
There’s no other possible explanation for why he got to wake up this morning with Steve Harrington still fast asleep against his side, no other reason for why he’s gotten to wake up like this pretty much every morning for the past year and a half.
Maybe luckiest on the entire planet is up for debate, but, god does Eddie feels fucking lucky — and not just because he’s the one who bagged Steve Harrington, king of Hawkins High (though he seriously hopes Steve will be up for attending their high school reunion whenever it comes around). Steve just loves so hard, he’s like a bottomless pit of goodness and kindness and love, and by some grace of whatever God is in charge of that kind of shit, Eddie gets to be on the receiving end of it.
Christ, is he fucking lucky.

Summary
The harsh rattle of the broken buzzer rings out over the apartment.
“You expecting someone?” Steve calls
“It’s your birthday, you idiot,” Robin calls back, “I ordered pizza.”
“Robin, I fuckin’ love you.”
Steve buzzes the delivery into the building and leans against the counter while he waits for them to ascend the four flights of stairs.
The knock on the door comes only a minute later and as he goes to open it, Steve undoes the chain on the door, turns the bolt, and plasters on a polite smile in preparation for a short, civil conversation with an underpaid pizza delivery kid as he opens the door and —
“Holy shit.”

Summary
Steve opens the passenger door for Robin and she feigns a glare at him as she swings herself into the car.
“I’m definitely gonna kill you before we get there,” she says with a matter-of-fact nod, shoving her duffle bag through the gap between the two front seats so it tumbles backwards onto the floor.
“Can’t do that,” Steve counters as he neatly slides his own suitcase beside her bag. He waits until he’s sitting in the driver’s seat to say,
“If you kill me, there’ll be no one to drive you to Hawkins and then you’ll never see Nancy.”
Had it not been dark outside, Steve would have been able to see Robin’s face turn a brilliant shade of red.
“Steve,” she growls, “Shut up.”
