Summary

Logan could identify all the little smells surrounding him.
Sex, heavily. Sweat, his and Oscar’s, and the mixed scent of their colognes - rose oil and cedar - that had rubbed off of their bodies over the last couple of hours. Laundry detergent, very lightly.
And Lily. The vanilla perfume she always uses and the lemony scent of her conditioner.

Summary
There it is again. The silence. It’s so quiet and so loud at the same time, it’s driving Dexter crazy.
Isaak is still looking at him, his face is unclear, even the worried expression is now gone. Maybe their story is supposed to end this way. Dexter wonders if this is it. If it’s enough for Isaak to pull out whatever weapon he definitely has stashed away in the car and kill Dexter. Maybe he’ll strangle him, leave him gasping for breath. That would be ironic, though, because Dexter wouldn’t trash around to save himself. Isaak deserves to kill him and it scares Dexter how much it doesn’t even bother him.
To be killed by Isaak’s hands, that’s suddenly a very good way to go.
or: María LaGuerta is dead and the only person Dexter can think of calling is a man he didn't see in weeks.
