"He almost shot me in the neck, actually." Calmly, he held up his ringed finger. "Good thing he didn't though, because if he did, we wouldn't be engaged.”
Antinous thought he’d be able to rest after a long day at work. Nope. The universe seemed to have other other plans. Not when his fiancé claims he’s from another timeline!

Summary
After twenty years away Odysseus has returned to Ithaca, bringing with him a small boy, who he introduces to Penelope and Telemachus as his adopted son: Astyanax. After years of all of them dealing with their own monsters they have a long way to go before feeling as a family. Telemachus needs to leern to how trust his dad, how to feel safe in his own home and how to be a big brother; Penelope needs to find her own place in the family Odysseus and Asdtyanax have built, and relearn how safety and suport feel like and how to act when you got them; Odysseus needs to figth the ghosts of his journey at the see, learn to trust other people with the care of his son and accept that, despite what he feels he migth deserve, his family still loves him; Astyanax needs to get used to his new busy home and learn how a loving family feels like.

But halfway through it I started wandering how Astyanax relationship with Telemachus would be, so I wrote a story about it...And I got cought up, so I ended up deciding to make a work exploring the dynamics betwen this version of the Ithaca royal family.

Perhaps this was some sort of battle related trauma. Diomedes ended up sitting down besides Odysseus and let his shoulder bump against the sullen King. “Talk to me, friend.”

“What’s going on? Polites is concerned, so are your men. Was it the blood? Or the men who fell? Rest assured, friend, none of yours fell today.”
“Do you think King Sisyphus fights against his punishment? Do you think the Fates would allow him, if he did?”
Flinching, Diomedes observed the change in Odysseus’ eyes. Instead of the colour of the sea, Odysseus’ eyes were taken over by a hue of red– only noticeable when observed in a certain angle but definitely present. Diomedes knew what caused a hue of red like that.
Odysseus had been touched by Ares’ Rage.
