"So you're saying you actually turned into a hedgehog and plan to sleep until March?" Eliott asks suspiciously, not quite believing what he's hearing.
Lucas just nods in response and snuggles against Eliott once again. Eliott can't help but be a little worried, it's out of the character for Lucas to joke about stuff like that and especially go through with it. As if hearing Eliott's thoughts Lucas' body goes rigid and he glances up at older boy.
"I'm kidding." He says quietly. "I just don't like cold weather and being cold and the best way to warm up is to snuggle in blankets but it also makes me sleepy so I fall asleep."

Everyone goes through their ups and downs, Matts "down" just seems to be taking a while. As his random bursts of sadness and anxiety progress into something worse, his brothers notice the change in his behaviour and want to help, though they will soon discover that you can't help someone unless they are ready to accept it.
