“Hard to do all the way from Texas, you know. I suppose we could video call, but that doesn’t compare to the real thing, and–” Buck rambles on and wildly gestures with his hands and Eddie isn’t even sure he knows what the words coming out of his mouth even mean.
“Texas? What are you talking about, why would you be going to Texas?” Eddie scrunches his nose and Buck pretends that looking to the side is more interesting than looking at him.
“You know I can’t go to Texas, I mean, if- if you asked, I’d come, but–”
Buck is not making any sense.
“Why would I ask you to go to Texas?”
Or, Buck thinks Eddie came back just for Bobby's funeral. Eddie is confused.
