Kris was done. They weren't going to tolerate the interdimensional invader in their ribcage any longer. And if they had to open a fountain to get rid of it, they were going to.
Or at least, they were. Until that invader offered something new: the chance to remember between resets. To make their own decisions with nothing more than some minor advice and a helping hand if requested. Naturally, Kris was interested. And that's why they woke up on Thursday morning, remembering two days that technically hadn't happened yet.
Messing with the code can be delicate work. Do the wrong thing at the wrong time, and the bridge might just break. Or change fundamentally.
It's a good thing nothing like that could happen, right?

Summary
Following multiple lawsuits filed against them after the android demonstration back in November 2038, Cyberlife has decided to enter the gaming industry. After all, they had all those unused AIs that they couldn't legally put in android bodies for sale anymore. What better way to recover their reputation than to tap into one of the best pastimes ever?
Detective Gavin Reed wonders how the hell that ploy worked so well. He had always found Cyberlife shady, and while that wouldn’t be changing anytime soon, he also wasn't one to turn down a free gift . . . even if it comes with an unexpected anomaly.
(Connor, now legally a member of the DPD, happily handles a series of seemingly unrelated cases. It wasn't until Hank points it out that he realizes something sinister was going on, and it all seems to be pointing back to Cyberlife.)
A story where two people learn about friendship in a “haunted” Animal Crossing game. (Meanwhile Connor has to deal with shit from Cyberlife. Again.)

Summary
There are worse places to wake up than an abandoned science facility from the 80's, Michael supposed. But the problem is that he doesn't remember how he got there or for what reason. In his journey to escape from Aperture, he's joined by an AI named JEREMY and equipped with the facility's most advanced piece of equipment: the portal gun. It seemed to be smooth sailing for the two. That is until they accidentally wake up the computer responsible for the lab's decayed state. Turns out escaping will be more difficult than they thought. Now a lab rat, Michael tries to survive the computer's tests while trying to figure a way out of there. However, Michael finds that the longer he stays, the more Aperture's dark past comes to light, making him wonder if there is more to the facility than what he has been led to believe.
