Summary
2039: Detroit, USA.
Emma "Vade" Pence is a Public Relations Chief that's been hired to work at the DPD. Society begins (and continues) its transition into more appropriate living and working conditions, catering to android rights. Keeping things cool, collected, and maintained, while the city hurdles toward new challenges, accommodations, and opportunities, is Vade's job. Getting paid to maintain the media for the DPD-- where the disputes and disruptions are handled first-hand across Detroit. But with a sudden influx in crime, the precinct becomes a ground for havoc, with officers trying to figure out what's causing such an uprise in criminal activity in the midst of social corrections.
Juggling media and work relations and while struggling to grasp personal (and oblivious) affections: Vade must decide what route to take when the core of these new problems turns the city onto its head. Silently wondering if Detroit will ever catch a break.

Summary
We search for meaning. We look for purpose. We find faith and run from it.
"Gavin Reed was a dick first. Beautiful second."
Post-peaceful android revolution, Detective Gavin Reed has a new case: The son of the mayor was murdered. And not only that, but the chaotic private investigator & spiritual adviser Avery Fox stumbles into his crime scene, and now they have to work together, and he has to do his best trying to avoid catching feelings for her.
"You’re not a burden for needing support"
One year after Avery’s first day in the precinct, the duo has to work a case that stirs up Avery’s traumatic past. Two women were drowned. Is there a serial killer at work? Can Avery admit to catching feelings not just for her grumpy detective colleague but also for her Android one? Why is Reed trying to hide his past from her?
"I am not failing another person I swore to protect.“
or
lots of rain, even more banter & your favorite trope slow (!!!) burn. This story is about trauma, how it changes us, and how we can learn to adapt to a life after. Oh, and there are paranormal elements.

Summary
It’s hard to be vulnerable, because being vulnerable means letting down your shield, letting people in, letting them see the real you. All your cracks and imperfections. You're more susceptible to judgement, and no one likes to be judged. Gavin knew all too well how that game went. Every time he let someone be part of his world, they rang him dry for their own gain, spat him out when they grew bored of him. Bullies are bullies because they project their insecurities onto those that they deem as weaker than themselves. It makes them feel less scared.
See, Gavin hadn't always been a massive dick. Growing up, him and Tina were attached at the hip. Never apart, shared and did everything together. And, literally everything; it was almost like Gavin lived at her house. Everyone liked him, he was popular in school. But that all changed the second he became bitter and drove everyone away. Shut out his friends, his parents, his coworkers. He didn't even try to get along with people anymore because it didn't seem worth it.
That's why he doesn't understand why the fuck Nines is trying so hard to get close. After everything he'd done, the shit Gavin said, why did Nines still want to be part of his life? It was frustrating.

Hank grimaced. "I swear, if somebody would've told me a year ago my bathroom would be constantly blocked by an android who just chills in my tub, binge-reading trash mags, I'd say that person was fucking insane."
Connor raised an eyebrow, his lips twitching slightly as he leaned heavier on the chair. "Those ‘trash mags’ fulfill the action of unwinding just as sufficiently as your preferred watch of Dancing with the Stars."
~
Hank had seen the good and bad sides of life–and he'd lived through the worst. He’d ridden the highs, then fell into the lows where he face-planted at the edge of hell and figured he might as well just stay there for the rest of his miserable days.
Time had stopped for him ever since.
Until November 2038 kickstarted his clocks—along with a smartass android stumbling into his space.OR: Connor searched for something he carried all along.
Hank found something he stopped looking for. -

Dealing with your grumpy partner and chasing down deviants becomes commonplace. You slowly learn to get along with Gavin, and after a few years in your career, life starts to settle. But things are turned upside down when an android detective is assigned to your precinct. To make matters worse, he's really of cute.

With an intelligent and handsome android like Connor by your side, navigating this strange new world doesn't seem so impossible. Gavin, however, is having none of it.
(Story starts before the events of the game. Gavin Reed acts like an evil brother/we are NOT romancing that man. Connor isn't introduced until later, like WAY later, but he is tagged. Sorry fellow Connor lovers for the wait, I hope to make it worthwhile. "Y/N" is not used in this story.)

“Connor, DPD junior detective.” Connor’s hand was slender and cool in Charlie's hand as they shook.
Fuck, of course he’s still around.
Connor had talked down an android who had been threatening to jump off a roof with a little girl last August. He was efficient. Calculating. Better than any human negotiator.

Summary
There was a virus spreading throughout Detroit. Exclusively infecting androids, it was nearly undetectable and its method of spreading was as much a mystery as how this virus somehow mutated the robots into feeling physical pain.
Connor wasn't allowed near this case, or risk catching this virus. He disapproved heavily, obviously, this case was killing his kind.
The bot's shoulders sunk deeply in disappointment, and his ventilation systems whirred with a heavy breath out, a distracting flicker of red dancing over his vision. Connor only stiffened a moment. He couldn't let a minor glitch throw him off, after all.
