Lamina was listening but at the same time wondering how this kid could talk so much without taking a breath for so long. The kid was talking about all kinds of things and to Lamina it seemed like he didn't even breathed in between his words.
It reminded her strangely of Coral when she went on some of her rants about someone new she hated, wanting to get all her reasons and comments out of her system as they all sat at their usual table in the cafeteria.

‘And stupid Coral for noticing all this.’ Coral thought bitterly about herself.

“Don’t lie to yourself, sweetheart.” Lucy Gray said teasingly before she stood up from the couch and heaved another sigh.
“Well, I’m off to go get a drink,” she pointed at Mizzen and Maude Ivory. “I will see y’all on the stage.” With that she walked out the door.
Maude Ivory knocked their shoulders together. “I was just teasing you, you’ll do great.” She smiled at him and Mizzen couldn’t help but return it.
