“Drown yourself in the digital lake”
Jax chuckled as he remembered Caine’s words. He had tried that once. Not specifically to kill himself, but morbid curiosity. He wanted to see if he could. If he would drown.
He didn't. Instead, there was just a strong, heavy pressure around his full body, and when he breathed in the water, it only made him sink more and more till he reached the bottom of the lake. He was there for what felt like hours.
“That” Caine had started to say when he found Jax thirty feet below sea level “will never happen again.”
