Chapter Text
Ok yeah, this looks like the bunker. I can’t help but be nervous as Kevin turns the key.
“After you” Kevin opens the door.
“Ah, a gentleman” I touch Kevin’s chin gently. Kevin blushes. Apparently I flirt when I’m scared. He follows me in.
“I, uh, have a lot of roommates. So they may bother us” Kevin nudges me into a good sized bedroom. Roommates, huh? Let’s see how this goes. I sit on Kevin’s bed and he sits at the desk. We work for a bit before my brain goes full investigator mode.
“So how many roommates do you have?” I ask, noting how Kevin bristles.
“Five most of the time, but people come and go.” He stutters a bit. Understandable I guess if your roommates are angels and hunters. He doesn’t even make eye contact with me as he answers. I need to pry more.
“You got a nice place, I wish I lived in a bunker.” I get off the bed and sit on the desk. Kevin’s cheeks turn a little red.
“Thanks,” Kevin chuckles “I’ll have to give you a tour later.”
“I could use a break” I shrug. Kevin thinks for a bit before nodding.
“Alright, I wanted to grab some books for our project anyway. I think we have some stuff in the library that would work as sources” Kevin opens the door for me. The nervousness is evident on his face as I step out into the hall.
Right away, there’s yelling. Not mean yelling, but playful yelling. Like an aggressive game of Monopoly. Which is exactly what it turned out to be. Four men, two of them with wings, and a kid. Two of the men yelling at each other, one winged man looking completely done with life, the kid trying to mediate, and the other with wings snickering to himself. Kevin pinches his nosebridge.
“Guys,” He sighs “Not in front of my partner”
“Oh?” The shorter, winged man stops yelling and smirks.
“Group project partner, Gabe” Kevin blushes. Gabe, Gabriel! As in the freaking archangel! I try to hide my shock at seeing his six, gold, slightly glowing wings. I don’t do a very good job. The kid, crap, that’s probably Jack, stares at me like he knows something the others don’t.
“Who’s your friend, Kev?” The tall man, Sam, dang he’s taller in real life, smiles like he’s trying to relieve Kevin’s embarrassment.
“Oh” Yeah, I should probably talk, “I’m Parsley”
“Parsley?” Jack speaks up, brows furrowed. Oh, he’s probably god at this point, meaning he can see my real name. His face turns to one of understanding.
“Yeah, like the herb. I don’t know what my parents were on.” I don’t know what I was on.
“Probably not weed or your name would be Oregano” Gabriel laughs at his own joke. It gets a chuckle out of me too. Castiel does not look amused.
“It’s nice to meet you, Parsley. I’m Sam” Sam throws a Monopoly house at his brother “That’s Dean” Dean throws his game piece at Sam. Gabriel laughs as the game is destroyed.
“I am Castiel” The angel shakes my hand. God, he’s such a polite cutie. Castiel points to the Nephilim trying to clean up the game. “That is…”
“Jack” I interrupt Castiel. The winged creatures give me a suspicious look. “Kevin told me” Kevin did not tell me. Kevin knows he did not tell me. Kevin does not tell anyone that he did not tell me.
“And you’re Gabriel” I continue to try to salvage the situation “Kevin told me a lot about you” Jack whispers something to Castiel. Gabriel shakes my hand aggressively. I think my arm may be ripped from the socket.
“Always a pleasure to meet one of Kevin’s partners” Gabriel laughs
“Group project partner, Gabriel!” Kevin grabs the book we need, avoiding a few pokes from Gabriel and Dean. He grabs my arm and pulls me back to his room.
“Very bold, Tran” I tease. Kevin blushes. “Your roommates are cool.”
“Yeah, I guess” Kevin keeps his head down as he buries himself back into our work.
I can’t keep my mind off the work after meeting everyone. I bullcrap an excuse to leave. On my way out, I notice Jack again, putting away the game.
“See you later dude” I nod to him. Jack gives me another suspicious look, but waves.
Once back at my apartment, I finally let my mind spiral. I’m gonna die. There’s no way I can survive in a world like this! I’m gonna get my heart eaten by a werewolf, or turned into a vampire or something! I collapse onto my bed. I press a pillow into my face to muffle the crying.
“Are you ok?” I turn around. Why is the son of Lucifer in my apartment.
