MHA x Ninjago: The Elementals

Summary:

Here's the hot take; In the Finale of Sons of Garmadon we all know how Zane, Cole, Kai, Jay and little Wu escaped to The First realm as the ship was crushed. But what if the hadn't ended up in The First realm? What if they ended up in MHA? (Also little Wu will not be with them/explained in the first chapter)

Notes:

I can not promise organized posts because I’m making this up as I go so if anyone wants to see something specifically happen feel free to comment (just know that just because you suggest something it doesn't mean I'll automatically use it), but I just wanted to give you guys the background as to how they got to MHA and also why Wu wasn’t with them. Besides the fact that Lloyd still has Wu the season on Ninjago’s side progresses the same so this story will not be focusing on that at all. It’ll just be the Core Four ninja at UA. I hope you are gunna stick around to see how it goes

Chapter 1: Rewrite

Chapter Text

“Give me the child,” Harumi said as she walked towards Lloyd “The emperor wants his brother.”

The mask of vengeance might have been distorting her voice, but Lloyd could still clearly hear the anger. Lloyd kept his eyes on Harumi as she came closer. Far off to his left Lloyd heard Kai yell from the bounty

“Lloyd jump! You can make it!”

Lloyd took a second to look down at the space between the bounty and the monorail. He watched as the road and buildings went by, cars racing past each other in the night.

“It’s too far!” Lloyd yelled over the wind.

“You have to try!” Cole yelled back

But before Lloyd could even move the train turned through a built-in hole in a nearby building. Zane swiftly jerked the helm to steer the bounty out of the way, but in doing so lost track of Lloyd and Harumi.

“This is the end, Lloyd. Give me the child.” Harumi reached out her now stone hand courtesy of the mask.

Lloyd held Wu closer to his chest “I will never give him to you.”

“Well then, goodbye Lloyd.” Harumi said as she pulled out a sharp dagger. Even with the mask, Lloyd knew Harumi had a smug smile plastered on her face. Lloyd got himself into a fighting stance ready to defend himself, but then a bit of movement beneath them caught his eye. He melted out of his defensive stance.

“Before I go.” He said “Just answer me this. You said the greatest villain was the one who got away.”

Harumi paused. Her arm was still stretched behind her ready to strike. Beside the train, Zane had been able to circle the bounty back to them, but Lloyd knew he was in no position to try and make that jump.

Lloyd smiled “Then what am I?”

Harumi swung her knife at Lloyd but Lloyd ducked and without another thought jumped backward off the train into the city below with Wu grasped firmly in his arms.

Both Harumi and the rest of the ninjas watched as Lloyd pulled the string on his parachute and landed softly in a boat floating through the harbor with Nya, Misako, and P.I.X.A.L.

The Ninja each let out a collective sigh of relief at seeing their friend safe.

“Circle back Zane.” Kai said.

Suddenly the shipped lurched and Zane gasped when he saw what had ahold of them. Garmadon’s giant had the ship in both hands and slowly it began to crush the ship.

The ninja screamed grabbing hold of the rails to keep themselves on their feet.

“Hands off you big oaf, we just had her repaired.” Jay yelled

“What do we do?!” Kai shouted looking back towards Cole

“I don’t know!” The black ninja answered

Zane struggled at the wheel “I can’t break free of its hold!”

The ship began to cave in from the pressure. The sail fell and next came the engine. Soon the entire ship would be nothing but pieces of metal and wood. The ninja were running out of time.

“We have to go!” Kai yelled to the others

“What do you think we’re trying to do?” Cole shouted back

“To go….” Jay mumbled thinking, “For your time of need tea to go.” then with a gasp he pulled out the brown paper bag Mistake had given him. “I think this is why she gave us this!!”

The other Ninja turned to Jay, circling him.

“Well what are you waiting for.” Kai said.

Jay opened the bag, and suddenly the ninjas were enveloped by glowing tea leaves. Outside their circle, the giant continued to crush their ship.

“I feel funny.” Jay said

“What’s happening?!” Kai yelled in confusion.

And then they were gone, disappeared in a flash of purple and yellow just as the giant crushed the bounty between its hands.

Below Lloyd had watched it all happen from the water

“No” he and P.I.X.A.L yelled

Nya had begun to cry and was being comforted by Misako.

“It’ll be alright” she tried to tell her, but she didn’t sound convinced “It’ll be alright”

Lloyd felt a tear run down his cheek. They couldn’t be gone. They couldn’t…..but they were. Crushed by that giant. He could imagine the satisfied look on his father's face. The smugness in Harumi’s eyes as she revels in his loss. ‘No’ Lloyd thought. I won’t let it do to me what it did to her. He wiped his tears and turned to the friends he still had.

“We can’t let them win like this.” He said, “This isn’t the end, it’s just a new beginning, without my power, without our friends, we fight on.” Lloyd watched as the group of women took on a new look of determination and nodded. Lloyd tried at a confident smile but he wasn’t sure how convincing it was. He then turned back towards the city, smoking and broken. “We have to fight on” he muttered “We have to”

Chapter 2: The New Arrivals

Summary:

Aizawa finds four teenagers unconscious on a rooftop. What will happen when he goes to question one of them?

Notes:

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)

Chapter Text

Aizawa landed softly on a rooftop, the cold chill of November on his back, as he overlooked the dark city, illuminated only by the lights of buildings and street lamps. Even though it was late at night, the city was anything but quiet. People walked the streets, cars honked their horns, and music spilled out from nearby restaurants. Aizawa glanced down at the bustling scene below; he was nearing the end of his patrol shift. In this part of the city, things had been relatively calm. There were almost no villains, aside from some low-level thugs with weaker quirks that were easy for Erasher to apprehend. However, despite the general peace of the night, Erasher felt an unease. He couldn't quite pinpoint the reason, but his instincts had never led him astray before, so he remained vigilant, keeping his eyes peeled for any signs of trouble.

Aizawa was about to call it a night when suddenly a large explosion pierced through the night. All the noise in the street suddenly stopped. Aizawa turned and saw a large smoky, purple portal tearing through the sky about a mile outside the city. Just a few seconds later, the portal snapped shut, leaving the sky as bare as it had once been. Aizawa remained on the rooftop a moment longer, his mind racing with possibilities before he took off in the direction the portal had opened. He hesitated to call in backup; he wanted to assess the situation first. What if it was just a child losing control of their quirk? It wouldn't be any less of a hassle, but it would certainly mean less paperwork. As he approached where he believed the portal had originated, he surveyed the nearby buildings and streets below, bracing himself for whatever he might find. Looking around, Aizawa saw nothing out of the ordinary until some bright colors caught his eye. Upon closer inspection, he noticed four figures lying motionless on a nearby rooftop. Rushing over, Aizawa landed beside one of the figures, which turned out to be a young man about the same age as his students. The boy wore a blue suit, which had been ripped in several places, and had fluffy brown hair that framed his face.

As Aizawa checked the boy for injuries, he noticed a few bruises but otherwise deemed him to be fine. Looking up, he realized that each of the boys was wearing a different color: the boy in front of him wore blue, while the others wore red, black, and white. Their clothes had been torn to shreds, threads hanging loosely and fraying at the edges. Had one of these boys somehow caused that mysterious portal to open? That didn’t explain the disheveled state they were in. Had they been attacked? And why were they all dressed in identical, color-coded suits? Aizawa was filled with questions, but he decided to prioritize the well-being of the other boys first. He knelt beside the boy in black, assessing him with a steady gaze. Much like the boy in blue, this boy seemed mostly fine. The top of his suit had been torn away, revealing a large scratch on his chest. It wasn't a deep cut, so Aizawa considered it to be nothing serious; it would probably just need some disinfecting. Next, he assessed the boy in white. Unlike the other two, this boy seemed to have no injuries at all, so Aizawa moved on to the last boy in red. The left sleeve of the boy's suit had been torn off but his arm itself seemed unhurt. It was the boy's head Aizawa was worried about. There was a large gash on the left side of his forehead. Blood was soaking into his brown hair and running down to his chin. The portal that the boys had presumably emerged from was about 15 to 20 feet above the ground, resulting in a considerable fall. The boy in front of Aizawa must have hit his head on the way down, which could mean a severe head injury. Not good. Deciding on the best course of action, Aizawa quickly contacted Tsukauchi to request backup in getting the four boys to the nearest hospital for treatment. Although most of them didn't appear to be seriously injured-save for the one in red-, it was still a good idea to have them checked out just in case.

Once all the boys had been taken to the hospital, Aizawa made it a point to call him as soon as one of them showed signs of waking up so he and Tsukauchi could question them.

——————————————————————————

When Zane woke up, the last thing he expected was to find himself in a hospital bed with no memory of how he got there. The walls were completely white, and large windows on the far wall revealed a city he didn’t recognize. He looked down and found his cloaking was still intact, making him look more human. However, his gi was gone, leaving him in a white hospital gown. It took him a moment to realize, with growing alarm, that his friends were not with him. The second thing he realized was that both his arms and legs were strapped down with leather bindings, but before he had the chance to panic, a woman walked in with two men. The first man was tall and slim, with long black hair and dark eyes. A small cut beneath his right eye almost perfectly aligned with his under-eye bags. He wore an all-black suit that hung loosely on his frame, complemented by a white scarf around his neck. The second man was shorter, with short black hair and brown eyes. He wore a beige trench coat over a white button-up shirt and black pants.

“Hello dear.” the woman said. She had long blond hair in a ponytail, blue eyes framed with square glasses, and was wearing light blue scrubs. “I’m Dr. Yukari” she continued,” can you tell me your name.”

Eyeing the two men behind her with a curious gaze Zane answered. “I am Zane.” Dr. Yukari smiled warmly and said, "Well, Zane, It’s wonderful to see you awake. I’m happy to share that everything looks good!" Zane found himself curious as to why the woman hadn't mentioned the piece of metal intact on his chest. While Zane's cloaking did make him look more human the piece that enclosed his heart was still visible. Seeing that Zane had been changed into different clothes the women must have seen it, or at least have been told about it by whoever changed him. So why not say anything? Zane decided not to question it, instead keeping his gaze on the two strangers in the back of the room. Noticing the worried look on Zane's face, Dr Yukari added gently, "These two gentlemen are just here to help figure out what happened to you and your friends. You don’t need to worry at all!"

Despite the woman's words, Zane kept his sight firmly on the two men in front of him, having questions of his own.

“I'll let you handle it from here.” With that, Dr. Yukari departed, leaving Zane with the two unfamiliar individuals.

“Zane was it,” the man in the trench coat asked kindly.

“Where are my friends? Are they okay?” Zane asked pulling at the binding on his bed.

“Woah hey calm down kid, your friends are down the hall. Don't worry they're fine just some scrapes and bruises. Your friend in red had a pretty nasty bump to the head, but he should be fine.” the man with long black hair replied. He had his arms crossed over his chest looking bored despite his tense stance.

Zanes felt a wave of concern wash over him when he learned that Kai had been injured. “I need to see them,” Zane said, his voice tinged with worry.

The man in the trench coat spoke again holding out a hand as if he were talking to a scared animal “Not yet kid, we need to ask you some questions first.”

Zane sat back; he didn't sense any ill intentions from these men, but he had to find his friends. He needed to figure out what had happened.

“Who are you?” he asked after a moment “Why am I tied up?”

“My name is Tsukauchi and this is Aizawa a.k.a. Erasherhead. He was the one who found you last night.” the man in the trench coat said motioning between himself and the other man, Aizawa, he had said. “The bindings are in case you aren't who you say you are.”

“I can assure you I mean no harm,” Zane said

Tsukauchi hummed,” Can you tell us what happened?” He asked

“I don't know,” Zane answered. It wasn't exactly a lie. One moment their ship was almost being crushed by Garmadon's giant, and the next he found himself in an unknown location. What had happened? He wasn't sure if he could even trust these people. Heck, he didn't even know where he was.

Voicing his thoughts Zane looked up at Tsukauchi and Aizawa. “Where am I?” he asked.

Aizawa stepped forward,” You're in Jaku General Hospital in Jaku City, Japan.” he said

Zane didn’t recognize any of the names; he had never heard of Jaku City, let alone Japan. As he looked out at the city through the window, he suddenly gasped, his eyes widening as he came to a frightening realization. “Travelers’ tea,” he muttered, still gazing out at the city.

“I'm sorry?” Aizawa nagged.

Turning swiftly back towords, the two men Zane saw Aizawa was looking at him with his eyes squinted, but other than that, his expression was as impassive as it had been since the conversation started.

Zane swallowed unsure of what to do. He was suddenly very glad his cloaking was still intact who knew how the people of this realm would react to him as a robot? Whoever these men were they weren't bad Zane could tell that much, but that didn't change the fact that Zane didn't know them. He needed to find his friends and figure out what was going on.

“Please, I need to see my friends,” Zane said urgently, struggling harder with his bindings.

“Woah kid calm down, just-” Tsukauchi cut himself off when he saw the white mist coming from Zane’s hands. The leather bindings on Zane's wrists froze over instantly allowing Zane to easily break free.

“Eraser,” Tsukauchi called turning to the said man, as Zane broke his legs free as well.

Zane leaped from the bed and thrust his hand out toward Aizawa’s feet to get by, but no ice came out. It was as if all his power had been suddenly drained from his body.

Zane looked down at his hands, perplexed “What…?”

“Sit back down kid.”

Looking up, he saw Aizawa staring at him with eyes that, once dark, now glowed blood red. His black hair floated above his head, and his left hand tightly gripped his scarf as if it were a weapon.

“What did you do?” Zane asked with wide eyes.

“My quirk enables me to nullify other people's powers. I suggest you sit back down and let us ask the questions from now on.”

Quirk? Doesn't matter Zane needed to get out of here. Now. Taking a step forward Zane barely made a move to fight before Aizawa’s scarf was binding him. ’how-!?’

“Let. Me. Go” Zane struggled, but Aizawa’s hold only became tighter. Zane was suddenly reminded of what it was like to be in the hold of a constrictai

“I can't do that, Zane,” Aizawa answered.

“You don't understand.” Zane yelped

“Kid, we’re here to help you.” Tsukauchi tried to explain,” Just sit back down so we can find out what happened, and then you can see your friends.”

Zane kept trying to fight his way out of Aizawa’s hold, but it was no use, Aizawa’s scarf wouldn’t budge. Even so, Zane struggled for a bit longer before deciding it was futile. Whatever the scarf was made of it was strong.

“Okay.” he sighed finally

“Okay,” Aizawa confirmed, but he didn't let go of Zane, his scarf didn't even loosen.

Tsukauchi walked over and coaxed Zane to sit back on the bed before he brought over a chair and sat down in front of him.

“Why don't you tell us the last thing you can remember.” Tsukauchi inquired.

Zane paused for a moment to consider his choices. On one hand, these men were unfamiliar to him, but on the other hand, he was in a realm that he didn't know how to navigate, nor how to get out of. Zane had already inquired that the two men weren't bad guys, so perhaps they could help him. He decided to approach the situation with a willingness to collaborate and learn more about his surroundings. Not like he had anywhere to go at the moment anyway since Aizawa was still binding him and somehow erasing his powers. /p>

With caution, Zane answered,” We….were attacked. We were trying to escape.”

“I assume the portal was the result of one of your friend's quirks.”

There was that word again. Zane tilted his head curiously. "What is a 'quirk'?" he couldn't help but ask.

Aizawa and Tsukauchi exchanged glances. Tsukauchi's brow furrowed in disbelief as he leaned slightly closer, his voice laced with suspicion. “You haven’t heard of a quirk?” he asked, incredulity evident in his tone.

“I’ve never heard of such a thing,” Zane replied

Tsukauchi suddenly sat up straighter turning to Aizawa with a mix of shock and confusion. “He’s telling the truth.” He said

He knew that how? Zand didn't know, but he was glad they believed him. It would make it easier to get some answers.

“I thought the nurse said he didn't have any injuries.” The policeman continued

“She did,” Aizawa replied, his voice grave. He kept his red eyes locked on Zane, studying him intently as if he were trying to fit together the scattered pieces of a complex puzzle.

Zane sat on the bed, feeling confused. What could be so important about a "quirk" that it would come as a shock that he didn't know about it? Reflecting on what Aizawa had mentioned regarding his "quirk," Zane realized it must be some sort of power, but it wasn’t elemental. Could this world have more powers than the elemental masters he was familiar with? If that were the case, then this world’s power system was drastically different from the one in Ninjago—and not just in terms of their name.

“Zane are you familiar with Pro Heroes,” Tsukauchi asked

“No,” Zane answered.

Again Aizawa and Tsukauchi shared a confused glance.

“Have you ever heard of UA or Shiketsu?”

“I'm afraid not.”

Zane could see the gears turning inside their heads. He was thinking hard as well. He didn't recognize these names, though he wasn't all that surprised considering he was in a foreign realm, and what were “Pro” heroes?

A look of realization passed over Aizawas face. “Earlier when we first came in you said something.……’Travelers tea’?”

“Yes” Zane nodded

There was a small pause before Aizawa spoke again, “You're not from around here, are you, Zane?” He questioned

Zane shook his head,” No I am not.”

A beat of silence and then Aizawa loosened the bindings around Zane, his hair fell back onto his shoulders, and his eyes returned to their dark color.

“Where are you from?”

“My home is a place called Ninjago.”

Aizawa sighed while Tsukauchi just looked confused.

“You've gotta be kidding me,” Aizawa muttered

“What?” Tuskauchi asked growing more confused by the minute,” Erasher what is it?”

“He hasn't lied this entire time correct?”

“Not once,” Tsukauchi confirmed.

Again Aizawa sighed, but it was with more irritation. “Then we have a huge problem.”

“Erasher…” Tsukauchi prodded,” What are you thinking.”

“I think that this boy,” Aizawa said, motioning to Zane, “isn't from Japan. I'm willing to bet he isn't even from our world. None of them are.”

“What-”

“You would be correct.” Zane interrupted

Tsukauchi swiftly turned back towards Zane sitting in front of him “What!?” he exclaimed

“As I mentioned before, my home is a place called Ninjago. In my world, my friends and I were battling a great power, but we were losing. To escape, we used the Traveler's Tea, not knowing we would end up in this realm, and now it appears we have no way home.”

Tsukauchi stared at Zane for a moment “I need a raise.” he said finally

“You and me both.” Aizawa agreed.

"I apologize for the inconvenience caused by our arrival, but I must see my friends so we can figure out a way to get home. It is imperative that we return." Despite the calmness in his voice, Zane was internally panicking. They had left Lloyd, Nya, and Pixal alone to protect Ninjago, and although Zane had absolute faith in his friends' ability to defend themselves, Garmadon's power was immense. It was uncertain how long Ninjago would be able to withstand the threat.

Aizawa paused for a moment, trying to determine the best course of action.

“Alright,” he said finally, his tone resolute as he turned to Tsukauchi who still looked mildly confused. “I’ll take it from here. You head back to the station, and don’t breathe a word of this to anyone. I'll contact you later with a plan.”

Tsukauchi offered a brief but firm nod, his expression serious as he replied, “Understood.” With that, he stood up from his chair and made his way toward the door. Just as he was about to close it behind him, Zane picked up a few words:

“I am so quitting! This place just gets worse with each passing year, I swear-.”

Zane couldn't help but laugh at the man.

“"Alright, problem child,” Aizawa said from his spot by the door. “Let’s go talk to your friends. I have a feeling this conversation is going to lead to some interesting developments.”

Notes:

Hope this was good, personally I'm really happy with it. Next we will see how the rest of the ninja react to being in a new realm. Stick around to find out what happens next. I’ll see you in the next update, have a blessed day. 💛 P.S. Kai’s injury will come a bit more into play then it seems though it mostly is for my own entertainment. Who doesn’t love a good concussion honestly.

Chapter 3: Details, Details.

Summary:

The Ninja and Aizawa discuss what to do next.

Notes:

Kai being concussed won't exactly have a huge part of the story (seeing as it's mostly for my entertainment), but I'm still gonna have it stick around for a couple of chapters longer. Plus I enjoy injuries because it makes things realistic and other characters get to be worried about the injured character. (Also it gives a reason for why Kai's character design has a random bandage).

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

First Aizawa led Zane to the boy in blue now dubbed Jay who was already awake, lying on his bed with a disheveled blanket tossed aside. A few bruises marred his skin, each a vivid reminder of the recent chaos, but they were nothing more than minor inconveniences that would fade away within a few days. The door creaked open, and Zane, followed closely by Aizawa, stepped into the room, their expressions grave. In the light of the hospital. Zane wasted no time, hastily relaying the dire situation they were facing, fully anticipating a burst of panic or disbelief from Jay. To both their surprise, Jay merely shrugged it off, his demeanor calm and collected, as if the news had barely registered.

”eh, no need to freak out about it, it could be worse.” He had said.

‘right so he was going to be no help.’ Zane thought

After a brief search, they found ‘Cole’, Zane had said, who was noticeably more agitated than the others. As they stepped into his room, they saw that he had only just awakened moments earlier. The nurse at his bedside looked exasperated as Cole struggled against the sheets, attempting to propel himself out of bed with a fierce determination. He was restless, echoing the actions of Zane in his desperate quest to reunite with their friends earlier.

When Zane approached and began to explain the situation, Aizawa could see panic flickering in Cole's wide eyes. The fear was palpable as Cole’s expression morphed into one of sheer disbelief. He fired off one question after another, his voice rising with each inquiry. Zane didn’t have the answers Cole so desperately sought.

As the group quietly stepped into the last boy’s-‘Kai's’-dimly lit room, they were met with the sight of their friend peacefully nestled under his blankets. A fresh bandage wrapped around his forehead, stark against his skin, concealed a series of neat stitches underneath. Turned out that Kai's bump to the head had resulted in a mild-sever concussion. Zane quickly scanned his friends to ensure that was all there was, not because he doubted the doctors, but because Zane wouldn't settle until he made his assessment of Kai’s condition. Considering the injury, Kai would likely experience a headache, fatigue, and some confusion when he woke up; however, he would otherwise be okay after a week or two. The ninja sat in the room with Kai. Cole took a small nap during the time, and Aizawa stood by the door; waiting patiently for their friend to wake up. While waiting they took turns answering Aizawas questions about their realm and how they got here. The ninjas had come to a silent agreement not to tell more than they needed to, like not telling Aizawa Zane was a robot, in case this all blew up in their faces. At least for now.

“Let me get this straight,” Aizawa said rubbing his forehead,” You four along with your two other friends were facing a cult that was looking for three powerful masks with different powers which were then used to resurrect your friend's dead father who then took over your entire city with a stone giant.”

“Correct….” Cole said

“, and then said stone giant had you all in its grasp, and as a last resort you used this ‘travelers tea’ to escape which then landed you all here.”

“affirmative,” Zane nodded.

Aizawa leaned against the door frame, arms crossed, brow furrowed in thought. “What have you kids been through” he muttered but the three boys still heard him, their expressions growing grim. ’more than you know’ Zane thought.

It took about an hour, but eventually, Kai began to stir.

Jumping up Cole asked, “Kai, can you hear me?” from his place on the right side of the bed.

Kai groaned, blinking his eyes open. He looked around blearily before his eyes landed on Cole leaning over him. A spark of recognition showed in his eyes.

“C’le..?” he said.

“Good to see you awake my friend,” Zane said stepping up behind Cole.

“What….what happ…?” Kai tried to sit up but Cole gently pushed him back down.

“Take it easy buddy, we’ll explain everything in a minute.”

They stood in tense silence, watching as Kai slowly regained his composure, his eyes flickering with confusion. Once he seemed steady enough, Zane took a deep breath and started to outline the situation. He wasn’t entirely confident about how much Kai had comprehended, but he could see the shadows of anxiety creeping into his friend’s expression.

“So….we’re in a foreign realm with possibly no way home,” Kai said once Zane had finished

“That pretty much sums it up,” Cole said

Kai groaned but whether it was from frustration or pain Zane couldn't tell, maybe a mix of the two.

“Great,” Kai said laying his head back on the pillow, closing his eyes.

“I say we go searching for answers, there has to be a way home.”

“It Would be unwise to go roaming around a realm we know nothing about Cole, especially one we don't know the rules of,” Zane explained to his friend.

“I'm telling you guys, I'm feeling so much better now that I've accepted our situation," Jay said, reclining back in his chair on the left side of Kai's bed,” This place is our new home.”

“No, it's not Jay,” Cole replied. “There's gotta be a way home; we just have to find it. Lay low for a while so we can figure out what to do.

“Well, it's like Zane said we can't just go wandering around.” Jay supplied.

“Which is why I have a proposition for you,” Aizawa said

The four ninjas jumped slightly as they turned to the man in the doorway. Aizawa's dark appearance allowed him to perfectly blend in with the shadows; Zane had honestly forgotten the man was there.

“And that proposition would be…?” Zane asked.

“For you four to Join UA High School.”

“What!?” Cole, Jay, and Zane exclaimed together, their voices blending in surprise, causing Kai to wince slightly at the sudden noise.

“You four are currently trapped in an unfamiliar realm. If you wander the streets without understanding our world, you'll likely get into trouble, and you don't have anywhere to stay at the moment. If you come to UA, you will not only have a place to stay but also a cover. This way, I can keep an eye on your "problem children" and help you find a way out of here.

“It's not the worst idea,” Cole shrugged.

“We don't even know what UA is,” Jay exclaimed, then apologizing once he noticed Kai's pained expression.

“UA is a hero school where young students go to learn to control their powers and become Pro heroes. Judging by what you've all told me I’d say you’d all be eligible to enter. Of course, you would have to enter the second-year course to not attract more attention than needed.”

“Woah, Woah, woah,” Jay said making a time-out motion. “Pro heroes?”

“Right, you four wouldn't know what those are.” Aizawa said rubbing the bridge of his nose,” In this ‘realm’ because over 80% of the world population have powers or ‘quirks’ as we call them, becoming a hero is now a profession people can achieve by going to schools such as UA for training.”

“80%” Cole hissed in surprise.

Aizawa ignored him, "Should you choose to enroll at UA, you could take on the cover of a transfer student from another country. Additionally, UA provides dorms for its students, which would address your living situation. I teach at UA and can enroll you in my class to monitor your progress while helping you find a way home discreetly.”

“It does seem like the most viable option.” Zane thought.

“It's kind of our only option, Zane,” Cole muttered.

“Kai?” Zane asked turning to his friend still laying back in his head. Kai’s didn’t seem to hear him,” Kai?” Zane tried again louder.

“Hmm what..?” Kai said peeling his eyes open, dazed,” Yeah sure, sounds good.”

Zane was pretty sure Kai hadn't even been listening to the conversation, not that he would have been able to follow it anyway.

“heey great. First, we get attacked by a giant, then we get trapped in an unknown realm, and now we have to go to school, wonderful.” Jay complained throwing his hands up in the air.

Zane rolled his eyes at his friend's antics. ‘Well that didn’t take long’ he thought.

“When would we be able to enroll,” Zane asked turning back toward Aizawa.

“I would have to talk to the principal and get everything sorted out so probably a day or two. I can get you all a motel until you're able to attend; I suggest you do a bit of research during that time.”

The three ninjas who were paying attention to the conversation nodded.

“Good, now I need to make a few calls stay here; I'll be right outside if you need anything.” then Aizawa stepped out of the room closing the door behind him leaving the four boys in the dimly lit room. The three ninjas turned back to Kai lying in bed, seemingly having fallen asleep during the last few minutes of the conversation. Cole, Jay, and Zane shared a look full of uncertainty but determination. Thanks to Aizawa they had a place to start. It wasn't much, but hopefully, it would be a step in the right direction.

As they waited for Aizawa to re-enter the room Cole and Zane took back their spots at Kai's bedside while Jay made himself comfy in his chair. They sat there in silence, each one allowing their thoughts to buzz with wonder at the uncertainties of what would come next.

That’s when Jay suddenly blurted “Hey! Does anyone know what happened to our gis?

—————————————————————————— (A/N Before you read, I was having massive writer's block during this specific part of the chapter so I'm sorry if the conversation and wording feels weird)

To say Kai was confused would be an understatement. Currently, he and the other Ninja were working in a dimly lit, two-bed hotel room with Aizawa trying to work out the details of their attendance at OA. UA?-whatever high school for heroes they have in this realm. The fact that there was a school for heroes at all was enough to make Kai's head spin. Pair that with his headache and nuseu, and Kai could safely say he was feeling downright miserable. He had barely registered the conversation about attending UA while lying in the hospital, but now it felt like an avalanche of information was barreling down on him. Kai and Cole sat side by side at the edge of one of the beds; Zane and Jay stood beside them. Aizawa had already detailed the new dorm system and handed them their schedules along with a card that resembled a fake ID, which he referred to as a hero's license. Now, Aizawa and Kai's friends were deep in discussion, brainstorming a convincing backstory that would arouse the least suspicion upon their arrival while keeping their true identities hidden.

“ You can't simply claim to be from a random country," Aizawa was saying. "If the students ask questions—which they will, since my students never seem to mind their own business—you won't have any knowledge about that country to support your story.

“So what do we do?” Cole asked from his spot beside Kai at the edge of the bed,” We can't just show up out of nowhere.” Their gis had unfortunately been shredded, so they had needed to find new clothes to wear. Cole had found a pair of black basketball shorts and tank top.

“Since it would be too tedious to learn about a country we've never heard of, I suggest we compare our culture with that of this world. We can identify the region that is most similar to ours and claim that's where we're from. This way, if we’re asked questions or make a mistake, it will be easier for us to cover up any discrepancies.” Zane suggested. He was dressed in blue jeans and a white sweater. Kai could see the gears turning in his friend's head trying to find a solution (as always).

Aizawa seemed to think for a minute

“That could work” Jay commented to which Cole smacked his hand over Jay's mouth. Jay wore black jeans and a blue t-shirt.

“There are a few factors that still need to be addressed, but it may be the best option for us.“Aizawa said finally.

“Cool, where should we start?" Kai asked, trying to ignore the throbbing pain in his head. His doctor had told him that his concussion would likely clear up within the next two weeks, but unfortunately for him, that meant dealing with dizziness and headaches util then. ‘Yay’. Kai wore a white t-shirt (which perfectly complemented the small bandages carefully plastered against his forehead covering his stitches) under a red jacket, along with a pair of black pants.

“The best way to start comparing would be Holidays I’d think,” Aizawa responded.

“Well we have Dragon Day,” Cole supplied,” We decorate with lanterns and there's a parade where people wear masks and carry around a giant dragon costume.”

“OH! And New Year's Festivle.” Jay piped up,” We light up lanterns and set of fireworks.”

"What about the government?” Aizawa asked.

Kai and the other ninja looked at each other reminded of what happened to the Emporer and Empress.

“We…..have an Emporer and empress,” Zane answered.

If Aizawa noticed Zane's solemn tone he didn't say anything. After a few more minutes of going over Ninjago culture and geography Aizawa seemed satisfied. “Your realm closely resembles the East Asian culture in our world. This is fortunate considering you have landed in Japan, but based on what you've mentioned, "Ninjago" seems more akin to China.” He said (A/N Ninjagos culture is factually based of a mix of Japanese and Chinese culture, but I figured it’d be easier to make a backstory if they didn't come from the same country.),” It's probably best that you do some research on the country, but since it has the most similarities, we'll use it as your native region during your time here.”

“Yeah that's another thing” Cole piped up,” wouldn't  it be a little bit strange for four exchange student from he same country with similar powers just randomly showing up at UA?”

“Let me handle that part,” Aizawa replied,” Ill fill you in on the details later but I've already got an excuse for that. Though I am glad you mentioned powers. I assume you've all noticed the powers of out realm already.”

“Did I?,” Kai exclaimed,” I saw someone with a spray bottle for a head on the way here. A SPRAY BOTTLE!”

“Yes, some quirks can be a bit more eccentric than others.” Aizawa sighed,” I’ve already seen Zane here use his ability to break free of his binding at the hospital”-Zane gve an embarrassed smile-”but I know nothing of yours.” Aizawa motioned to the rest of the group,” You've mentioned they’re elemental but nothing more.”

“Well it is as you say, we each bear elemental powers passed down to us by the elemental master before us.” Zane noted,” I am the master of ice.” As Zane said this swirling steam began to emit from his palm.  To the untrained eye one might thing it was from heat but the ninja had worked together long enough to know the difference between the swirling steam of fire and the chill of ice.

“Master of lightning!” Jay exclaimed emitted sparks of blue lightning between his hands.

“Earth.” Cole supplied,” You, uh, probably don't want a demonstration.”

Aizawa nodded then looked to Kai.

Kai allowed his hand to be enveloped in a bright orange flame. “Master of Fire,” he said wincing when the brightness of his fire hurt his head.

“I assume the different color coded suits had something to do with your elements?” Aizawa asked with a bit of amusement creeping into his voice.

“Affermitive.” Zane confirmed

“Well unfortunately your old suits are no longer usable, but when joining UA each student gets to design their own hero costume.” Aizawa mentioned

“Hero costume?” Cole asked

“The outfit student wear during training or hero work outside of class,” Aizawa explained.

“New suites eh?” Kai smirked

“It has been a while.” Jay said equally excited for a change.

“I'll give you the information. I would like you to have your costumes ready by the time you start school on Monday. Once you’re admitted, I will take some time to help you in the morning to show you around the dorms and introduce you to my class, but until then please stay out of trouble, I don't feel like sending more police than needed to keep and eye on you four.

“We’re Ninja, you wont even realize we're here” Zane said.

”good” Aizawa nodded. He then quickly wrote down the information of the uniform company for the ninja to look up later before walking out of their room, and down the hall of the hotel.

“Are we really about to do this.” Kai questioned.

“It is our best option if we wish to get home sooner.” Zane replied

“After all that's happened…… is their even a home to go back to?” Cole asked

“Hey, hey don't say that” Jay said,” Ninjago is in good hands. I'm sure Nya and Lloyd can hold off until we get back.”

“Let's hope so,” Kai said.

Jay jumped over to the computer sitting on a desk in the corner of the small room and swiftly typed in the link Aizawa and written down. Kai stood up and slowly made his way over behind Jay. He had learned his lesson earlier when he’d stood up to quickly and nearly faceplanted if it hadn't been for Zane catching him.

looking over Jays shoulder at the site Kai smiled,” Oh this is going to be fun.”

Notes:

Three things. One, in the last chapter I mentioned Zane’s power capsule still being visible. That is for a reason but for now ide like to ask if anybody had ideas about what the Ninja could say it is should it be revealed. I was gonna say it was something like the arc reactor Tony Stark has but then how to explain that is the question? Second Im not good at fight scenes or power scenes so if anybody could give me some ideas on how to write those tha’d be much appreciated. Third, I realize that the ninja are extremely powerful with both power and combat/experience but I don't plan on making them these Pro Hero level beings. Not because I doubt in their ability but because I personally get bored when reading about characters like that. I DO want the ninja to, in a way, be more powerful than class 1-A (now 2-A) but not to the point where its incredibley easy for them to defeat the class 1-A students or MHA villains. I want them to still struggle in battle and be realistic to their strengths and weaknesses when fighting. Even when battling the sons of Garmadon and Mr. E (plus other foes) they struggled a bit. I won't absolutely nerf them but Im not gonna overpower them either. Obviously, I’ll make them win in the end because they are very experienced and do have a lot of power
;they just won't win stupidly easy (y’know depending on who their fighting against/with).

-PS I apologize for any spelling mistakes.

Chapter 4: Meet The Class

Summary:

Class A gets introduced to their new classmates.

Notes:

Honestly this is mostly just their initial meeting plus descriptions for the ninja no real interactions happening but next chapter is where all that's gunner be. Suggestions anyone? Can’t say I'll use them but I'd love to hear them.

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

“Hey, guys wait up!”

Deku and Iida stopped, turning to see Ururaka waving her hand at them as she ran down the hall.

“Apologies ururaka,” Iida said once she had caught up.

“That's okay Iida I'm just glad I caught you,” The girl responded.

Resuming their walk down the halls of U.A. Deku spoke.

“Are you guys excited to meet the new students?” he asked

“Oh, that's right!” Uraka smiled,” they’re coming today.”

“I for one am very interested in meeting my new peers,” Iida replied.

“Yeah, I can't wait to see their quirks. I wonder what they’re like.” Ururaka thought.

“Well, they must be powerful if they are to be coming to UA, especially our class. Of course, we are no better than anyone else in this school.” Iida said waving his hands.

“I wonder if they'll have similar quirks to any of us.” Izuku said,” I would love to see the different ways they use them.”

“It's still shocking to me that we’re getting FOUR new students, especially from the same school,” Ururaka muttered,” they must be powerful.”

“Indeed.” Iida agreed,” Given what Aizawa said about them they must be exceptional students,”

—(FLASHBACK)-(I said it in the last chapter I’ll say it again: the writer's block was real here)———————

As Aizawa stepped into the dormitory on that Friday evening, the room buzzed with chatter and laughter, from the 2-A students. The class was about to have one of their movie nights, so everyone was down in the living area when Aizawa arrived. The moment he crossed the threshold, however, the sound of conversations abruptly silenced by the presence of their teacher. Aizawa, having spent the entire day away and leaving them in the enthusiastic but chaotic hands of Present Mic, now stood at the center of their attention; the students were eager to learn the reason for their teacher's unexpected absence.

“Mr. Aizawa it is good to see you are well,” Iida said standing from his spot on the couch to greet their teacher.

“Thank you, Iida, I trust you all didn't give Mic a hard time?”

“Of course not sensei,” Iida said adjusting his glasses.

Kirishima raised his hand above his head,” So where were you anyway? Was there a villain attack?”

Aizawa rubbed the back of his neck,” No, nothing like that. Thankfully the the number of Villain attacks lately has been low.” he said.

“So why were you gone then?” Kaminari asked.

“That is what I came here to talk to you about.”Looking up, Aizawa took note of the curiosity behind his students' eyes; even Todoroki, with his plain expression, showed interest. With a sigh, Aizawa braced himself for the uproar that was sure to follow his next few sentences.

“Starting Monday UA will be adding four new exchange students to class 2-A.”

The entire room erupted in disbelief, their voices intertwining in a chorus of astonishment.

“Wha- Who?!”

“FOUR?”

“Who are they?”

“From where?”

A flurry of curiosity erupted as the students eagerly bombarded their teacher and each other with questions about the mysterious new additions to their class. However, the lively chatter came to an abrupt halt when Aizawa cast a piercing glare across the room, silencing the crowd.

Aizawa sighed for the millionth time that day.

“Yes, four new students will be added to class 2-A.”

“But- how? No one can just enter UA and isn't too far in the year for an entrance exam?” Deku questioned

“Normally you'd be correct Midoriya but these particular students were chosen to come to UA.”

“Chosen? Like recommended?” Momo questioned

“UA is the premier hero training school globally. In recognition of the fact that talented individuals exist beyond Japan, UA occasionally deploys scouts to identify students with exceptional quirks at international schools. The four students I’ve previously mentioned are among the selected individuals chosen through this initiative.”

“UA has scouts?” Kaminarie questioned

Mina bounced in her seat “This is so exciting, where are they from? Are they each from the same school?” she exclaimed.

The students turned back to their teacher wanting to hear his answer.

“Yes Mina all four of them have been chosen from an elemental school in China.”

“CHINA!”

“Dang must be a good school if four of them were chosen” Sero muttered.

Bakugou scoffed

“Wait elemental school? what doesn't that mean?” Sato asked

“Exactly what it sounds like,” Aizawa replied,” The former school the students went to was for specifically training elemental-based quirks such as Fire, water, and lightning. Each of them was able to demonstrate a tremendous skill of their quirk deeming them worthy of UA’s hero course.”

“Elemental based quirks?” Izuku muttered.” Interesting that they have specific schools for a category of quirks, the educational difference between Japan and China would have a great impact on their experience here, especially since elemental quirks are rarer these days-”

“SHUT UP!” Bakugou yelled at Dekus rambling causing the green boy to turn a shade of bright pink.

“Midoroya is right that the education of Chinese heroes differs significantly from our own. However, I want you all to keep in mind that the villain rates in China are much higher than those in Japan when you meet your new peers. I expect you to treat them with the same respect you show each other and to me. And remember this,” Aizawa said, staring at the class with a stern expression, “If they were chosen to come to UA, then they deserve to be here. Do NOT underestimate them. Understood?”

“Yes, sensei” The class replied in unison.

Aizawa nodded,” Good.” he paused for a moment glancing down at the stack of movies on the coffee table,” I'll leave to your devices, try to go to bed at a reasonable time.” Aizawa knew they wouldn't, the class loved spending as much time together as they possibly could. Even Bakugou, who would never openly express it, enjoyed their time together. The class voiced their agreement, and Aizawa turned on his heel to head back to his quarters for some much-needed rest, leaving his students excitedly wondering about the new arrivals at UA.

—————————(END OF FLASHBACK)———————-

The small group stepped into the 2-A classroom to be met with loud chatter echoing across the walls. The ‘Bakisquad’ (as they dubbed themselves) was sitting around Bakigou's desk who looked less than pleased to have Kaminari chatting in his face. Momo and Jiro had made their little group in the back of the class with Hagakura and Tsuyu. The rest of the 2-A students were stern about talking and laughing. Midoriya looked around the classroom until his eyes landed on Todoroki. Walking over with Iida and Ururaka behind him Midoiroya greeted their half-n-half friend.

“Good morning Todoroki.” He waved

“Morning Midoriya.” Todorli greeted in his usual monotone.

“Are you excited for today?” Ururaka asked.

“I'm… interested to see what they can do.”

Midoriya looked around and noticed he didn't see their teacher. “Where’s Aizawa?” he asked

“I believe he's showing the new students around the building this morning before class. I suggest we all take his example to make our new peers transition as smooth as possible.” Iida replied adjusting his glasses

Just then a loud boom echoed through the room. Kaminari must've gotten too close.

“Come on man you not even the tiniest bit interested.” Kirishima was saying.

“So long as they don't get in my way I could care less what they can do,” Bakugou replied but Modoriya had known the bot long enough to know he was lying. Bakugou was just as much a quirk nerd as Midoriya was, he just hid it better.

“You no fun,” Kaminari complained patting his singed hair.

“You think they'll have similar quirks to us?” Hagakura interjected

“What makes you say that?” Shoji asked

“Aizawa said they were from an elemental-based school. Maybe they'll have ice or fire like Todoroki,” she replied.

Todoroki seems to perk up at the mention of another fire or ice user being added to the class.

“Well elements mean more than just earthly elements like fire or ice,” Tokoyami said,” They could have light, air, shadow, electricity, there's no way to tell.”

“Oh! I would love to fight with another electrification user.” Kaminari commented

“I wonder if they're hot.”

“MINA?” Ururaka blurted

“What?! You're all thinking it.” Mina said with her hands up in surrender,” All I'm saying is it'd be a nice bonus to have some good-looking guys added to the class.”

“Oh my goodness,” Sero said running a hand down his face.

“Now that I think about it we don't even know their names let alone anything about them.” Jiro thought,” Wonder what they're like.”

“Hopefully less temperamental than Bakugou,” Kirishima said

“OI!”

Just as Bakugou was about to unleash a furious explosion aimed at Kirishima, the door swung open, and Aizawa entered the room with his usual nonchalant demeanor. The sudden appearance of their teacher immediately commanded the attention of the class as everyone scrambled to their respective seats.

“Well that's a first,” Aizawa muttered as he watched the last student take their seat,” I take you’re all excited to meet the new students.”

A chorus of agreement filled the air.

“Are they here right now?” Kaminari blurted looking towards the door.

“They're just outside,” Aizawa said, a serious look on his face. “Before they step through that door, it’s crucial that you all grasp their situation completely. These students have come to UA not just to learn, but to evolve into heroes. Don’t make the mistake of thinking they’re naive. They’ve faced their own intense battles, much like the ones you’ve encountered. Remember, I expect you to treat them with the respect they deserve.”

“Certainly, Sensei.” Iida stood,“ I believe I can speak on behalf of everyone when I say that we will make every effort to hold our new peers in the highest regard.” He concluded with a bow.

“Thank you, Iida,” Aizawa said with a slight nod as Iida settled back into his seat. Aizawa then let out a resigned huff, he strode purposefully across the classroom, his footsteps echoing softly against the polished floor. Approaching the imposing door emblazoned with the number 2-A, he grasped the handle and pulled it open. Leaning into the hallway, he called out in a firm yet inviting tone, “Alright, come on in.” Aizawa then stepped back into the room followed by four boys.

The first boy was tall with dark skin. He had shaggy charcoal black hair, with the underneath layer colored a bright white, that nearly reached his shoulders tied back with an orange bandana; the same color as his amber eyes.

Somewhere behind Modoriya, someone muttered, “Dude looks like he could flick me across the classroom.”

Midoriya couldn’t help but nod in agreement. The guy was astonishingly well-built as if he had dedicated countless hours to honing his physique through bodybuilding. His muscles were so pronounced that they stretched the fabric of his uniform, making him look both impressive and slightly absurd at the same time. He held himself with confidence and control. Despite his imposing and muscular build, Midoriya felt no sense of intimidation from the guy who stood before him. Perhaps it was the countless villains he had confronted, or maybe it was the gentle, almost disarming smile that illuminated the boy’s face as he scanned the room. His bright expression seemed to radiate warmth and kindness, and Midoriya felt a sense of approachability coming from the boy as if the simple gesture of his smile offered an invitation to connect.

Midoriya also couldn’t help but notice a small scar just above the boy's dark eyebrows. There was something unusual about it that piqued his curiosity. The mark resembled a crack, yet it didn’t seem to stem from any sharp edge or blunt force. He found himself wondering, with a mix of intrigue and concern, what had caused it.

The second to walk through the door was the shortest of the group. He had reddish brown curly hair and light freckles across his face. He had two-colored eyes; his right eye was electric blue, while his left was chocolate brown. He was lean like a dancer, a stark contrast to the stalky figure of the first boy.

He appeared significantly more tense than the others around him. His fingers danced nervously over his hands, and he shifted his weight from one foot to the other, as if searching for a position that might ease his discomfort. His eyes danced across the room nervously as if he was expecting an attack at any moment.

The third boy who walked into the room had a tan complexion and sharp features. He possessed an athletic physique, his uniform’s rolled-up sleeves showcased powerful forearms. Midoriya noticed the small scars and rough calluses that marked the guy's hands, telling stories of hard work. His ruby-red eyes were even more vibrant than Bakugou’s, and he had spiky brown-haired gelled up in the shape of fire. A jagged white scar, like that from a knife slash, ran from just above his right eyebrow down to his jaw. Above his left brow, a small white bandage had been placed. The surrounding skin was beginning to bruise, and It was at that moment that Midoriya noticed how the boy was squinting up at the lights as if they were bothering him.

The last man to step through the door possessed a physique akin to the third, though maybe was slightly more muscular. His skin was pale, contrasting with his piercing, icy-blue eyes that seemed to scrutinize everything around him. Snowy white hair, clipped short in a crew-cut style, framed the sharp angles of his Jaw. His expression was blank and emotionless, giving him a nearly robotic presence as he stood rigid at the front of the class.

‘Slightly unsettling.’ Midoriya thought as he was caught in the man's calculating gaze.

“I'll let you introduce yourselves,” Aizawa spoke

“Alright uhh…. Hi, I'm Cole Brookstone.” The bulky guy introduced himself.

The bow with curly hair spoke next,” Uh I'm Jay Walker.” He said with a wave

“Kai Smith,” The third said simply

“I am Zane Julian,” the fourth said bowing his head.

“Wonderful we’re all acquainted, don't worry you'll have time to get to know each other later but now it's time for your training. Time to see what you four can do,” Aizawa turned back towards the class,” suit up, and meet me in the training ground B.”

“Yes, Sensai.” The class said together before everyone was out the door heading to the locker rooms to get ready.

“Uh….” the reddish-brown haired boy, Walker,  started but Aizawa had already wrapped himself in his sleeping bag for the time being.

Walker looked to his other three friend seemingly confused, noticing this Midoriya held back a moment,” Do you guys know where the locker rooms are?” he asked

“Lets assume not,” Smith responded.

“Its not far, follow me.” Midoriya motioned for them to follow.

“Thanks uh…”

“Oh I'm Izuku Midoriya.”

“Cole brookstone.” Said boy held out his hand and Midoriya gladly took it.

“Nice to meet you, now come on we don't want to be late for training.”

Notes:

Right, so those descriptions took me way too long. Hope this small(?) chapter was enjoyable. Again the interactions will come next chapter during their training. I'm very excited to start that part, I just need to think of how to do it. Bear with me please, and as always I'm open to suggestions.
Can’t promise I'll include them but I still would like to hear them. Thanks for reading see you in the next chapter have a blessed day ❤️🙏

P.S. Depending on whose point of view it is the ninja's name we will change Like how Midoriys addressed them by their last names here (cause y’know they do that) but the ninja will call each other by their first. Just so no one is confused

Chapter Text

Upon entering the locker room to training ground B all eyes swiftly turned toward Midoriya and the four newcomers.

“Ah there you are Midoriya it is nice to see you helping out our new classmates,” a tall boy with blue hair said as he walked up to the group already clad in what Jay guessed his hero costume. It was very.….knightly.

“I- I'm sorry,” Jay spoke up,” are those….engines in your legs?” he asked pointing to the guy's calves. Jay mentally smacked himself hoping the question wouldn’t be taken rudely. It hadn’t been the strangest thing Jay had seen so far. When they first came here Jay had to make a conscious effort not to make a face when hesaw strangers on the street with some more unique physical attributes. He’d seen snake people, stone armies, ghost and so on, but even the smaller things were still shocking to him. ‘Heh.’

The guy looked down at his legs and then turned to Jay thankfully without offense,” Oh yes they are, courtesy of my quirk. These enable me to have incredible running speed.”

“Awesome” Jay responded

He smiled,” Thank you, I'm sure your quirks are just as incredible. Oh, but I haven't introduced myself. My name is Tenya Iida, I'm the class representative. If you have any questions I’d be happy to help.”

“Will do,” Cole responded.

“Your lockers should be over there” Midoriya pointed to the far side of the room where four metal cases were seated on a bench.

“Thank you Midoriya,” Julian said politely before he and the others went to open their hero costumes while Midoriya went to get into his.

Most of the other students were already out on the training ground, Iida dismissed himself to join them. One by one the other students left the locker room without a word until it was just the ninja alone in the room with Midoriya and a boy sporting an outfit with no shirt and some kind of ripped up cloth wrapped around his waist over loose black pants. He also had black sleeves that tied to his middle finger like gloves. Additionally some gear like contraptions were hoisted on his shoulders which Jay found……interesting.

“Where did Julien-kun go?” Midoriya questioned

“I think he went to the showers to change, he's a little shy,” Kai responded as he began putting the gloves to his own hero costume. (A/N description later) The real reason was that Zane couldn't change infront of the others less they wanted them to see his heart capsule

Midoriya simply nodded. The room was left in an awkward silence for a few minutes before the boy in red spoke up.

“So… do you guys have hero names.” He asked turning the the group”

”define hero names..?” Jay asked

”you know, hero names, like code names for when you’re out on the field. I’m Red Riot.”

”oh uh….”

”we haven’t decided on those yet,” Cole interrupted,” it wasn’t really something our uh…. old school took much time on.”

”Interesting we had a whole day for it last year.” Midoriya said.

”what exactly do you do at your old school.” The red boy questioned.

Jay was thankful for the change of subject but to be honest non of the ninja had really thought mihc on a backstory, just what Aizawa told them. They were foem an elemental school in China. Maybe they should have expanded on that? Then again the more details told in a lie the harder it is to make believable.

”I mean I guess similar stuff you do here” Kai said,”powe- quirk training and you know..hand to hand combat stuff, oh and lots and lots of obstacle courses.” He groaned.

”oh please you don’t get to wine about those, Kai,” Jay said,” you blew right through those when you first started, kind of annoying actually.”

”I’m just that good.” Kai smirked.

“so you worked a lot more on agility and actual fighting.” Midoriya inquired.

“pretty much I mean we still train our el-quirks endlessly but our sensei taught us a lot of martial arts as well.” Cole said.

“I find it intriguing to observe the differences in educational approaches. While we engage extensively in combat training at UA, the focus here centers more on the development of quirks rather than specific fighting techniques. Additionally, being part of an elemental school must have been quite enriching, as it would provide a great opportunity to interact with individuals who possess similar abilities and grow-“

”Midoriya” the spiky haired boy interrupted

“Huh?!” The green haired boy looked up suddenly realizing the three present ninja were staring at him with slightly alarmed looks. “Oh sorry I do that sometimes, but truely I’m very interested to see what your quirks are.”

”well it’ll have to stay a surprise for now” Kai said “can’t be allowing people to get the jump on us in training.”

”speaking of which me and kirishima should probably get out there, you guys coming?”

”we’re gunna hold back a moment and wait for Zane, see you out there” Cole replied for them.

Midoriya waved and he and the red boy apparently ‘kirishima’ walked out of the locker rooms.

Not a minute later Zane decided to make his appearance wearing his own costume.

”It feels odd not wearing our original gis’” he said.

Kai looked back as his friend,”Ah c’mon its nice to have a little creative freedom ain't it?”

“Beside we want to fit into this world as best we can, that means suits that won't make us stand out to much.” Cole said.

“Says the guy wearing the suit most like our old ones” Kai retorted.

“Interesting that suits like these wont make us stand out.” Jay said.

“Yes this place does appear more elaborate than our realm.” Zane

“I wouldn't go that far.” Kai said, we've faught ghosts, robots, The Overlord TWICE, and it's not like we haven't faught other powerful people before. Need I bring up Chens Island.”

“No, no you do not.” Zane deapanned.

Kai waved him off,” Whatever, point is there's nothing to worry about.”

“Besides the fact that we have to go to school now.” Jay groaned.

“Your telling me! I haven't been to school since I was five!” Kai exclaimed.

“I haven't been at all. I am excited for the experience.” Zane smiled.

“Eh don't worry me and Jay’ll show you the ropes. Now come one we've been standing around long enough.” Cole said as he began walking toward the direction Modpiya and Kosohima left in with the other ninja behind him.

“Yes master Cole.” Kai mocked to which earned him a glare from the earth master.

“This is gonna be fun.” Jay said.

“We needn't forget why we are here,” Zane said,” Our city needs us.”

“Zanes right,” Cole said,” Aizawa’s researching any quirks that can help us, so let's just go along until we can find some answers, and remembered what we agreed on; no spinjitzu unless absolutely necessary. We don't know how this world works and i’de rather not be questioned about an ancient martial art form that we can all perform even though no one has ever heard of it before.”

The other Ninja simply nodded.

“Were still gonna wipe the floor with them though.” Kai smirked.

——————————————————————————

It was a few minutes before Smith, Julian, Brookstone, and Walker emerged from the changing room. Upon initial observation, their suits appeared to resemble almost that of everyday clothing. However, upon closer inspection, it became evident that each outfit was crafted with thoughtful consideration. One notable aspect that stood out was the incorporation of elements from North Easterm culture, from intricate patterns inspired by traditional Chinese art to subtle embroidery that echoed ancient symbols, blending modern style with cultural heritage.

-(A/N yay more descriptions 👏 these outfits that the ninja have are  based around an image I saw on Pinterest “Zayrenvie’s Ninjago Design” which I recommend just go looking it up so you can understand these descriptions. they are very good designs and I was gonna show an image instead but I don't know how to do that. I did change their outfit a little bit by incorporating their symbols and I tried to change jay’s a little more but not much. No one will sue me for this right? (Genuine question))-

However, the costumes had more interesting features than just their cultural inspiration. Each hero showcased their own distinct color: Brookstone’s costume was black with orange accents, Walker wore blue with yellow, Julian wore almost all white, and Smith was clad almost entirely in red. More so each outfit had its own individual designs. Midoriya realized that the designs of their outfits must be meant to hint at their “elements”.

Kais' outfit was striking, featuring a deep red, snug, sleeveless muscle shirt that accentuated his toned physique. Over this, he donned a vibrant red vest that was a deep wine red on the left and rose red on the right, the vest was lined with gold and a design of a firey lion was over his left peck. His arms were adorned with black fingerless gloves, reaching up to his shoulders, giving him an edgy look. The lower half of his outfit consisted of rugged black combat pants, completed by deep red combat boots that rose knee-high, crafted to withstand any terrain. A pouch was also securely strapped to his right thigh, providing easy access to whatever gear he might need.

Brookstone's outfit was notably looser, yet it did little to conceal his physique. Midoriya couldn't help but notice that the dark suit bore a striking resemblance to a traditional gi. It was a unique blend of style and functionality. He wore a sleeveless vest that fastened snugly in the front, accentuating his powerful arms, which were now visible and adorned with multiple small scars that stood out against his dark skin. ‘What in the world?’

In contrast to Smith's attire, Brookstone's vest was lined with a vibrant orange, and elegant design of what looked like a cracked animal skulli the same place as Smiths own animal, adding an artistic flair to the overall ensemble. The pants, intentionally loose-fitting, hung from his hips, trailing down to his shins where they met a pair of sleek black boots. On his hands, Brookstone sported standard black gloves. The final touch to his outfit was a bright orange fabric belt that hung down the front.

Walker stepped into the scene clad in a strikingly casual ensemble. His loose, bright blue top clung comfortably to his frame, zipping up the front with ease. Above it, he sported a cropped dark blue jacket outlined in white adorned with bold white lightning bolts that boldly sliced across the chest, adding a dynamic flair to his appearance. He too had a symbol over the left side of his chest that's resembled a storm cloud in the shape of an octopus. A vibrant yellow pouch was strapped around his waist on top of blue jeans. Instead of wearing boots like the others he wore a pair of black sneakers, while protective elbow and knee pads completed the look, emphasizing both his readiness for action and an adventurous spirit.

Lastly Julian, beginning with a kind of cropped, sleeveless jacket, reminiscent of Kai's vest, fastened securely down the front and boasted a plush fur lining. A delicate blue frost design danced around the neckline, enhancing the jacket's aesthetic. Once again with an animal design on his left, his symbol was a blue tiger. Beneath the jacket poked out a light blue hood. The sleeves of the hood seamlessly transitioned into white fingerless gloves that allowed for both dexterity and style. His ice-blue pants tapering down to meet rugged white knee-high snow boots that were ideal for traversing wintry landscapes. The entire outfit exuded an air of frosty elegance.

-(A/N PLEASE JUST LOOK UP THE IMAGE THIS IS PAINFUL)-

Despite their individual outfits and colors, they all shared one common feature: a face covering that extended over their noses, concealing part of their faces, much like a ninja. And something else Midoriya had neglected to notice were the weapons strapped to each of their backs.

Smith had dueling Katanas, Walker nunchuks, Brookstone a large hammer, and Julian adorned a bow and arrow.

Are they allowed to have those Sato muttered.

“Bakugou had literal bombs my dude,” Jiro answered

“Daaaang, nice suits.” Kaminari complimented, then he suddenly gasped pointing at Walker’s jacket.

“Dude twins!”

“You guys look so manly,” Kirishima interjected,” Eijiro Kirishima, sorry I didn’t introduce myself earlier.” he said holding out his hand to words Brookstone.

“Cole Brookstone, nice to meet you.”

“If everyone is accounted for, lest begin.” Aizawa said from his spot at the front of the group. Informt of him were to boxes labeled H and V. Allmight stood by his side in his….natural form, he seemed to be keeping a particularly observing eye on the four new students. Currently the class was standing out side a large building within the traning grounds.

“Today you'll be put into teams of two, villains vs Hero’s,” Aizawa began,”The heros will be guarding a special artifact, their objective is to keep the villains from stealing it.”

“Back to this old song and dance,” Shinso commented.

“This exercise focuses on stealth. In this scenario, the villain's objective is to stealthily approach the heroes and successfully steal a precious diamond without being detected. Meanwhile, the heroes are tasked with monitoring the area to prevent the theft. If the villains are both apprehended by the heroes before the designated time limit, the heroes emerge victorious. However, if even one of the villians manages to complete their mission without being caught, they claim victory. Heroes are not confined to their designated areas within the building; they have the freedom to move around as they please. However, both heroes and villains must remain inside the building at all times. This scenario is designed to challenge your individual stealth skills while also allowing you to demonstrate your ability to detect the presence of others and maintain awareness of your surroundings. Throughout this exercise, you will need to employ strategy and vigilance, using your powers to navigate the space effectively and outsmart your opponents. .

Looking around Midoriya could see the class buzzing with a mix of excitement and determination, this excersis was much like their first training session during their first year….. a fond memory.

“Each of your names have been randomly distributed into these two boxes depending on who's two names is drawn form each will determine teams and aliases. Almight.” Aizawa said motioning for allmight to draw the names.

“Ofcourse,” Allmight said reach a hand into the first box labeled H,” Our first hero team will be….Shouji and Momo vs villains……Sato and Shinso.” Allmight announced.

The rest of the teams went like this:

Jiro and Ojiro (villains) vs Todoroki and Kai (hero)

Cole and Bakugou (villlian) vs Mina and Tsuyu (hero) p>

Kouda and Kaminari (hero) vs Jay and Ururaka (villain) p>

Zane and Sero (hero) vs Aoyama and Hagakura (villain) p>

Iida and Kirishima (villain) vs Tokoyami and Midoriya (hero) p>

The students quickly joined their partners, eager to start the exercise, and Midoriya was sure everyone was especially hoping to find out what their new peers could do.

“One more thing,” Aizawa stated,” This is a stealth excersise, quirk use and weapons-,” he said eyeing the ninja-,” are allowed but villains should not engage with the heroes unless prompted to do so. Only when the time runs out, or the villains are apprehended will the the session be over.”

“Yes sensai.”

“Alright, Shouji and Momo, head inside. You will have one minute to make preparations then Sato and Sero will head in, the rest of you will be observing in the observation deck with me and Allmight, timer starts now.”

Shoji and Momo quickly ran into the building leaving Sero and Saro standing outside while the rest of the class headed to the observation deck.

Notes:

I love my little cliff hangers💅

Why was Kirishima still in the boys locker room when he was clearly ready? Cause he was trying make friends so why not.
🫲 😗🫱

Also I needed someone other than Midoriya to interact with the group. More of that next chapter I swear. 🫣

You know I was planning on making this longer because I had finally come up with a training session idea, but I once I saw the amount of words ide type was reaching my (personally chosen) limit I decided to just post what I had for now. PLUS I was gunna change point of views anyway so might aswell do it in the next chapter right? Fun fact I chose those teams by spinning a wheel. No rhyme or reason just put their names in and spun it cause I didn't want to do the cliche ninja on a team with each other crap, but then had no clue who to team them up with let alone everyone else so yeah ✨wheel✨. That includes who was a hero and villain. Hope you like this so far, I am so excited to start writing the Ninjas battles especially seeing as who they’re teamed up with (Jiro, Ojiro, Mina, and Tsuyy are COOKED (literally), I mean anyone going up against even one of the ninja is cooked but man did those teams work out). Anyway I'll see you in the next update which will hopefully be posted faster than this one was 🥲 (I AM SO SORRY ABOUT THAT BTW). Have a blessed day, bye 👋

Chapter 6: The Light of Fire and the Shake of the Earth

Summary:

Kai and Cole undergo their first session of hero training.

Notes:

Right so I’ve decided to go complete third person than just one person point of view cause it was getting kind of complicated. Aside from that though I really like how this turned out and I think personally that I did a good job of effectively showing off the Ninjas skills while taking into account their partners quirks ☺️. Anyway hope you like it.

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

On the bright side Kai’s headache was gone so this training would be even easier than expected so long as the dizziness didn't rear its ugly head. On the downside, he had a partner he knew nothing about who could pose as a possible handicap. The ninja were currently huddled in a corner of the observation deck. In truth, Kai wasn't paying attention to the other students, though he probably should be, but he couldn't focus on that now. Nya and Lloyd were back in Ninjago fighting that- that thing and there was nothing he could do to help his siblings. In short, Kai was worried, so when faced with the distraction of training he had welcomed it with open arms, but now it seemed his sister and little brother were all he could think about. What if they had been captured? What if they were in danger?

“KAI!”

“Huh!?” Kai snapped out of his trance to see his brothers looking at him with a mix of worry and confusion.

“Are you alright,” Cole asked.

“I'm fine… I was just thinking about home.”

“Yeah I hope Nya’s okay,” Jay said.

Cole placed a hand on his friend's shoulder, “I'm sure they're alright, they can take care of themselves.”

“I too am worried for our friends.” Zane said,” But we must hold out hope, they will not fall easily.”

A voice spoke up behind the group,” It was Julian right?”

Kai was thankful for the Interruption.

The ninja turned to find a girl with pink skin and horns smiling at them, well, specifically Zane. Behind her was the same red boy from before, Kirishima?

“Yes, but you may call me Zane.”

“I’m Mina Ashido, and you've already met Kirishima.” she introduced herself motioning to the boy behind her as well.

Zane simply nodded, behind him Kai cleared his throat

“Uh you going to introduce us,” he said

“Ah yes, these are my teammates, Kai, Jay, and Cole.”

Mina smiled,” Yeah I know, you're the one I'm going to against with Tsu,” She said pointing to Cole,” I'm so excited to see what you can do.”

“They already told me they won't be ‘spoiling the surprise’, Mina,” Kirishima said.

“Aw,” the pink girl pouted,” but still, elemental powers sound so cool.”

“And you'll be partnered with Bakugou.” Kirishima mentioned facing Cole once more,” small warning he's a little intense.”

Mina smile dropped “Yeah me and Tsu are cooked.”

”C’mon I’m sure you’ll be fine.” Cole tried to assure her,” He can’t be that bad.”

The look the two friends gave each other was answer enough.

”YOU EXTRAS TALKING CRAP!!” A loud voice shouted from across the room. An angry-looking blond, presumably Bakugou, was facing them now.

” Just warning  you’re  partner about your attitude problems man.” Kirishima smiled like he had just complimented the boy.

The boy sneered at Cole,” Just don’t get in my way and we won’t have issues.”

The blond then turned back to the monitors watching the battle between the first group. So far it looked like the Heroes were winning (Kai had already forgotten their names).

” Okay then.” Cole muttered,” And I thought Kai was a hot head.”

”HEY!”

Kirishima smiled showing off his shark teeth,” Eh you get used to him eventually, underneath the explosive attitude he’s really nice, honest.”

”yeah don’t worry about Blasty, plus with him, on your side, you’re sure to win.” Mina exclaimed.

” Assuming you guys can be quiet.” Kirishima said

”Oh that won’t be a problem for us.” Jay spoke up,” Though if Mr. Temperamental can’t you guys might be fighting your way out.”

”I hope not. I don’t need the bruises,” Mina said rubbing her arm as if she could already feel the injuries.

”eh you get used to them-agh

Cole elbowed Jay in the side causing the shorter boy to yelp in pain.

”what it’s true.” Said boy continued.

“Shut up Bolthead.” Cole retorted.

Before the two could continue bickering a sound like a fog horn rang through the hair nearly scaring the living daylights out of Jay.

”HERO TEAM WINS.” All might (at least Kai thinks that's what his name was) be announced.

From what Kai could tell from the evaluation afterward, the purple boy with the eye bags had been “exceptional” when it came to stealth but due to his teammate's lack of it, the guy with multiple arms “Shouji” was easily able to detect them thanks to his quirk. Now someone having multiple arms was no shock to Kai, it only brought up bad memories of the last few weeks, but someone having multiple limbs which he could then turn into ears, eyes, etc. did come as more of a surprise. But moving on from that after the two had been detected the girl, Momo, was able to devise a plan to keep the two at bay until the time was up.

After the evaluation of the first team was over it was Kai’s turn to hit the field along with his partner and the opposing team. Before the match, Kia had asked Zane if he had any information on the candy cane. The only information he received was that Todoroki was the son of the number one hero, whatever that meant, and that Todoroki supposedly had control over both fire and ice, with each element assigned to one side of his body—cold on his right and hot on his left- hence the half-n-half appearance. The boy sitting next to Kai also had a noticeable scar on the left side of his face that caught Kai's attention, but he decided it wouldn’t be the best idea to ask about it.  On the bright side, this task would definitely go better than what came out of guarding the mask of deception.

So there they were standing inside a rather large dimly lit room within the building, guarding the ever-so-precious diamond, as they waited for their opponents to appear. Speaking of which……

Kai turned to his partner, careful to keep his front facing the room” All right recap what can they do?”

Todoroki looked to Kai with a blank expression,” Ojiro’s quirk is called tail-“

”which is pretty self-explanatory,” Kai interrupted

Todoroki nodded.”He is skilled in martial arts as well, Jiro’s quirk allows her to hear minuscule sounds around her while also using the sound of whatever her earphone jacks are plugged into to create a sonic attack.”

” All alright so someone with a tail that they use in combat, and a girl with power over sound.” Kai summed up.

Todoroki nodded then looking around he said,” It’s dark inside the building the other team will have an easy time sneaking around.”

"Then it’s time to light this place up!" Kai declared, drawing energy into his palms, a swirling fireball igniting between his hands. He spun around, allowing the force of his momentum to hurl the fireball high into the air. It soared upward, before bursting forth, casting a brilliant, golden light across the entire room. The shadows that used to linger in the corners of the room disappeared as the brilliant light flooded in, illuminating every surface with a warm glow. Todoroki was momentarily taken aback by the sudden brightness, instinctively raising his arm to shield his eyes from the light of the miniature sun.

Back in the observation deck, the students of class 2-A were also a bit taken aback by the sudden show of power.

“Okay that was sick” Kaminari commented.

“So his element is fire…” Izuku muttered deep in thought.

The ninja smiled proudly at the recognition of their friend. Especially knowing that the move he just pulled wasn't even half of what his power truly allowed.

“What a diva” Cole smiled.

Back in the building, Todoroki stared at his fellow fire user,” You have a fire quirk.”

“Yep, nice trick huh?” Kai smirked.

Todoroki hummed.

Kai awkwardly turned away,’ This guy’s duller than Zane.’ he thought.

Suddenly Kai heard a small sound. The red ninja listened to the silence straining his ears, and then he heard it again, a soft sound like the scruff below a boot.

“Someone’s here.”

“What-” Todoroki didn't get to finish his sentence before Ojiro pounced through the doorway using his tail.

Todoroki, to his credit, was quick to react using his right side to create an ice wall that caught Ojiro in mid-air.

“Ah man,” the boy said hanging his head. Kai almost laughed. One down one to go.

While Todoroki had been busy with Ojiro, Jiro came rushing through a different entrance closer to Kai. Todoroki attempted the same trick on her but she was a quick thinker. Right before the ice overtook her body Jiro plugged her earphone jack in her shoes. Kai wasn't sure what that would do but he didn't have to wait long. Someone Jiro was able to use her own heartbeat as a sonic attack. The ice shattered around her and she charged forward once again.

‘My turn’ Kai thought, his ears ringing form the sound. She may have been good with her quirk, but it was limited to long distance. If he could get in close Jiro wouldn't be able to use her quirk as effectively.

Jiro went for another attack this time planning to cause a small earthquake to catch Todoroki and Kai off balance so she could make a quick grab for the diamond when she suddenly realized the latter was nowhere in sight.

“Where did he-”

“Boo!”

Kai had somehow appeared behind Jiro and moving quicker than she could even realize, he sent a swift uppercut to her jaw effectively knocking the girl out.

“HERO TEAM WINS!!” Allmight’s loud voice boomed over the speaker and then quieter he said,” That was fast.”

Todoroki melted Ojiro out of the ice and Kai helped Jiro up once she’d come around, quickly apologizing for the hit.

“Nah man it's cool, you pack one heck of a punch,” She said rubbing her Jaw which would surely bruise later.

“You were like a ghost, I didn't even see you move.” Ojiro complimented,” Ive been trained in stealth yet you heard me coming. How did you do that?”

“I'm a ninja, kinda my thing,” Kai answered simply.

The two teams went back to the observation deck for their evaluation where they were quickly met by their classmates.

“Dude that was amazing,” Jay exclaimed gifting Kai with a high five.

“That was Awesome, how did you move like that?” a buff guy in a bright yellow suit exclaimed. Kai had a distant thought that he wanted to see this guy and Cole arm wrestle.

A boy who Kai recognized from earlier as the one to point out Jay’s jacket spoke up,” Seriously man that trick you pulled with the fireball was super cool.”

“Wow nothing for me Kaminari?” Jiro teased.

“Oh c’mon, you know how awesome you are.” The boy, now dubbed Kaminari, said back.

“True.” Jiro planted a small kiss on his cheek then walked off to join Mina and Momo across the room.

Izuku spoke next,” You and Todoroki-kun did an awesome job! It was super clever to use the light from your fire to keep the other team from sneaking up on you. Todoroki is strong, but he doesn’t have the same type of control over fire that you do. It was amazing to see the different ways the two of you can use your quirks.”

Kaminari leaned on the greenette,” Yeah you guys should totally spar sometime.”

“Maybe.” Kai agreed.

” Please you have to teach me how to be that stealthy.” Mina begged.

”Sorry sweetheart, I’ll never tell.”

Kai was beginning to think this place wouldn't be so bad. ————————————————————————————

Cole and Bakugou stood outside the large building, prepared for action. While one minute might not seem like a long time, it was enough for the two boys to hopefully come up with a useful plan. It was also enough time for Cole to learn that Bakugou wasn’t someone who liked to work with others.

“It's a stealth mission,” Cole argued,” You can’t just go in there guns blazing…..literally! We’ll be caught.”

“ Well, you haven't even told me what you can do, so what else am I supposed to come up with!” Bakugou glared at the taller boy.

Cole sighed,” I have elemental power over the earth. There you happy?”

“What kind of power?”

“I don't know, I can cause earthquakes and stuff.” Cole shrugged ‘how else am I supposed to explain it he thought.

The blond rolled his eyes,” raccoon eyes’ quirk allows her to manipulate and secrete acid, and the other extra’s a frog.”

“They have names you know.”

Bakugou ignored him,” So, there’s not much they can do to stop us. Even if they play defensively and try to hold us off, it won't last. Their quirks simply can't match.”

Honestly, Cole was just glad he used “us” in that sentence.

“Still what if they did figure out a way to catch us off guard what would you do then?” Cole asked.

“MURDER!”

“WHAT-no!,” Cole pinched the bridge of his nose,” you’re not very quiet are you?”

“I told you it doesn't matter what they've done, I can be in and out within two minutes with my quirk.”

“And if you do that Aizawa will take off points because it's a STEALTH MISSION, and we’ll get a whole lecture on the use of teamwork and the definition of stealth,” Cole argued

Bakugou sneered,” Well, what would you have us do dirt face?”

“Ah ah ah, as of right now we're villains which means you should call me by my alias, Rocky Dangerbuff,”

It took an impressive amount of restraint for Bakugou to not blast Cole in the face

‘He’s almost worse than Iida’ The blond thought, then out loud he said,” Shut up and answer the question idiot.”

The earth master recognized that, although this was meant to be a stealth exercise, their chances of sneaking around diminished with the explosive teen by his side. So they would have to come up with another plan.

Cole smiled,” How do you feel about being a distraction?”

-

“I wish we could hear what they were saying,” Kirishima said as he and the class watched Cole and Bakugou talk.

Mina and Tsuyu's minute was up, and from the looks of things, they had come up with a pretty decent plan to at least slow the two boys down. Mina had secretly spread her acid all over the floor, making it slick but thankfully non-lethal, while Tsuyu had crawled up a wall and activated her camouflage in an attempt to launch a sneak attack. Overall it was a good plan, but it could be seen in bother their eyes that neither thought it would work. Kirishima didn't know what Brookstone’s quirk was but even if it was week he still had Bakugou on his side so there was no way they'd lose. The blond could just rocket over the acid and be done in two seconds. Of course, Bakugou wasn't normally one to risk getting points taken off. If so then hopefully Brookstone could knock some sense into him.

Mina and Tsu waited by the diamond patiently and on the other monitor, the class observed Bakigou and Cole as they walked carefully through the building, which Bakugou looked less than happy about.

When they were just a few steps away from the room that held the Jewel, Brookstone took the hammer off his back and raised it high over his head. Kirishima didn't know what he planned to do but behind him, he heard a voice mutter.

“Uh oh!”

“What,” Kirishima asked turning to the voice who turned out to have been Jay.

“You might want to hold onto something,” Kai said quickly, already bracing himself for impact that he knew was to come.

Kirishima barely had a moment to ponder the meaning behind their words before Cole brought the hammer down hard onto the ground. In an instant, the earth trembled beneath them, sending shockwaves through the air, causing every student to lose their balance and crash to the floor in a chaotic scramble along with their teachers.

On the large screen at the front of the classroom, they could see Mina attempting to maintain her balance. Even Bakugou was thrown off balance for a moment, his fierce glare replaced with surprise as he stumbled slightly.

Amidst the chaos, Tsu miraculously managed to cling to the wall, her strong grip keeping her steady while the world around her swayed like a ship in a storm.

As soon as the trembling stopped Bakugou burst into the room propelled by an explosion.

Tsu was at the ready a quickly wrapped him in the tight hold of her tung.

Across the room, Mina had regained her footing and quickly ran over to help her friend.

“I expected more Blasty” She taunted,” You won't burn Tsu, it's over. I have to say this was one of your worst plans.”

“Really?”

The two girls whirled around to find Cole flipping the gem in his hand.

“ I think it went pretty well.”

“WAIT-” Mina tried but it was too late

“VILLIAN TEAM WINS.” was heard over the speaker.

“But the acid,” Mina exclaimed,” How did you not slip, or make a noise or something!!”

“I've faced worse than a slippery floor,” Cole answered,” oh, and by the way, it was my plan thank you.”

Mimas eyes widened slightly,“ You allowed yourself to be caught didn't you!” She turned towords Bakugou as Tsuyu released him. She looked genuinely upset she hadn't thought of that. With Bakugous reflexes there's no way he would've been caught so easily.

“OF COURSE I DID IDIOT YOU THINK I COULDN'T HAVE GOTTEN MYSELF OUT OF THAT!!

Tsu hopped down from the wall “Wow so you actually followed someone else’s plan? That's a first.”

“SHUT YOUR TRAP TOAD, AND I WASN’T FOLLOWING CRAP!”

To say the students in the observation deck were shocked would be an understatement. Most of them hadn't moved form their spots on the floor and just stared at the screen with wide eyes.

“What just happened,” Sero asked.

“He- that was-” Jiro couldn't form words

“Most impressive,” Tokoyami commented.

Dark shadow was curled up by his side “No it was scary.”

Izuku. Was. Ecstatic.

He skribbled furiously at a notebook he held tightly in his hands muttering along with his writing.

“So he has an earth quirk. Is it limited to only quaks or does his powers extend beyond that; could he also harness the fiery essence of magma? The hammer he wields—does it serve merely as a symbol of his strength, or is it a vital tool in his arsenal? Perhaps it aids him in channeling his energy to tremor the earth, allowing him to determine the extent of each shake. Is he capable of creating deep fissures that split the ground apart? And what is the most powerful quake he has ever unleashed-?”

“Midoriya,” Iida scolded

“Sorry..”

Aizawa and Allmight helped the remaining students get to their feet. They themselves looked a little shaken from Cole’s stunt.

As the class descended the corridor toward the designated meeting area, a wave of uncertainty washed over Kirishima. He couldn't shake off the growing intimidation he felt in the presence of the four new students. Both Kai and Cole had demonstrated an impressive ability to maneuver stealthily, as well as showing off powerful quirks that left the rest of Class A baffled.

Bakugou and Cole did receive feedback regarding their less than sneak attack skills. In contrast, Tsu received well-deserved praise for her abilities in this area. However, Aizawa ultimately commended the group for their thoughtful planning and recognized Cole's individual talent in stealth, particularly for successfully sneaking past Mina to secure the diamond.

Kirishima couldn’t help but wonder if what he had seen so far was merely the tip of the iceberg regarding their true capabilities. He was acutely aware that if Kai and Cole possessed such formidable power individually, the remaining two students—whose abilities remained mostly a mystery—could very well be even more formidable.

The thought of the four of them combining their strengths was both thrilling and daunting for Kirishima. He envisioned the sheer force they could unleash as a team, and it both excited and terrified him. Nevertheless, amidst the swirling feelings of apprehension, one realization stood clear and solid in Kirishima’s mind: he was incredibly grateful that these four ninjas were aligned with them. He didn't even want to think about what would happen if they weren't.

Notes:

Yes I did pull Kai's little sun thing from sons of Garmodon but tell me that move wasn't awsome. I will be doing that btw, especially pulling diolouge form later season just cause I think its funny.

Also Ima be real… Most of Class A does not understand the concept of stealth. Honestly I don't remember any of them being particularly good at it, so of course the ninja are still ultimitaly caught thanks to their partner. Now if the ninja were on teams together that would be a different story entirely. 👍 Hope you enjoyed. I'm so excited to write the next two particularly Zane, but I'm also excited to write Jay vs Kaminari 🎉
See you in the next chapter buy bye

Chapter 7: Lightning Strikes and The Chill Of Ice

Summary:

Jay and Zane undergo their first session of hero training.

Notes:

Zane's awsome, that's all you need to know about this.

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

-

“Electrification huh?” Jay smirked.

Ururaka nodded,” Yup but he can’t manipulate it exactly. More like just shoot it out in all directions.”

Jay nodded,”I can work with that,”

Before Ururaka could question his statement, he continued, "If we can use your quirk to make ourselves lighter, then we’ll be able to sneak past the two of them undetected. Once that’s done, we can easily grab the diamond.”

Ochako shook her head,” I know Kaminari, he may not be top of the class but he's not stupid; he’ll be expecting us to use my quirk.”

“You forget you're talking to a trained ninja,” Jay smiled,” follow my every move and they'll never see us coming.”

“Kouda might not be able to use his quirk very well in these circumstances but he's still got muscle, if we are caught I can use my quirk to make him float but then Kaminari will have nothing to convince him not to use his quirk.”

“He won't be a problem.”

“How so?”

“Just trust me, you take Kouda, I'll take Kaminari.”

-

Kaminari should have paid more attention when Aizawa warned against underestimating the new students. Initially, he had felt confident about his match, ready to tackle it without a second thought. But now, with the events unfolding, a sense of unease was creeping in.

Smith’s impressive display of firepower had left a mark, and then there was Brookstome, whose quirks had sent the entire class tumbling over themselves. If the other new students were even remotely as powerful (and sneaky) as these two, Kaminari realized he was stepping into a serious challenge. The anticipation of what was to come had him on edge, and he couldn't help but wonder what other surprises awaited him.

Plus Walker, as Kaminari came to know him, was paired up with Ururaka. While Kaminari couldn't speak for the boy in blue, Ururaka was very strategic when she needed to be. So yeah Kaminari was nervous.

Kaminari had already briefed Kouda on their course of action seeing as the latter was too freaked to contribute, and honestly, Kaminari didn't blame him. Kaminari knew Ururakas quirk could be used for stealth, so the plan was that once ‘Team V’ made their appearance Kaminari would snuff them out with a good old spark of electricity. That was assuming Koida wouldn't be in the way. Even with a plan at work (a pretty decent one if Kamianri said so himself), the electric user had very little faith it would work. Kaminari was just thankful he had some warning of how powerful his opponents may be. Poor Ojiro and Jiro went in with next to nothing on them, so at the very least Kaminari could brace himself for his impending defeat.

It was quiet in the dark building. Too quiet.  Kouda had barely said a word, which wasn't new for the guy, but it didn't make Kaminari any less ancy. Kaminari and Kouda kept their eyes firmly on the ceiling above them, their sights flickering to the doorway every so often to ensure their enemies hadn't chosen a more on-foot tactic. It had been at least 5 minutes since Aizawa gave the okay for Jay and Ururaka to enter the building and every second that ticked by only allowed Kaminari's anxiety to grow. He was also getting kind of bored.

“C’mon can't we just get this over with,” he said to no one in particular.

“As you wish”

Kaminari turned around so quickly that he nearly gave himself whiplash. Two figures, formerly coated in the shadows jumped down from the ceiling. Ochako and Walker landed mere feet away from where Kouda had stood on the other side of the room. The key word being ‘had’. As they descended Ururaka moved quickly using her quirk the float Kouda off the ground before the boy could react, earning her a high five from the boy in blue beside her. Kouda yelped as he was involuntarily dragged into the air but there was nothing for him to hold onto to stop himself. He was thankful when he hit the high ceiling so he wouldn't go further.

“Well I don't know how you got in here without us noticing,” Kaminari began,” but know it's time to end this, and without Kouda as a handicap you're going down. No offense.” he hastily added looking up at the ceiling. Kouda shrugged.

With a smirk, Kaminari summoned his power allowing the electricity to build up in his palm before releasing all the power he had. The wave of yellow sparks shot out towards his two enemies neither would be fast enough to evade his attack, not that they had anywhere to go with his power shooting off in all directions. Kaminari felt hope welling up in his chest. Maybe they could win this. Walker made a move to stand in front of Ururaka, covering her with his own body.

‘Doesn't matter’ Kaminari thought,’ My quirk will shock you and go straight to her.’

And then…..Something unexpected happened. Kaminari and thought Walker stepped inform of Ururaka to take the shock for her, but he didn't just take the shock…..he absorbed it! Crossing his arms in front of his face Jay allowed the yellow lightning to hit him in the forearms where it then turned a vibrant blue and began absorbing into his body. Behind him, Ururaka who and been bracing herself for the hit looked at her partner with wise eyes seemingly just as surprised as Kaminari was. All of this happened in just a few seconds.

Jay was able to absorb the last of the electricity before momentarily stumbling off balance, breathing heavily, and looking up at Kaminari with fading glowing, electric blue eyes that seemed to literally crack with power.

,’ Electrification?!’ he thought in a mix of amazement and shock.

At the look on Kaminari’s face, Walker straightened,” I know it's shocking right?” He joked summoning his quirk allowing streaks of blue lighting to dance between his palms.

Kaminari didn't even think to acknowledge Walker’s pun. He was too busy having a crisis.

,” WHAT? SERIOUSLY?! MAN, WHY DID I GET PAIRED UP AGAINST THE GUY WITH A TWIN QUIRK?!” He exclaimed

Walker ignored Kaminaris's outburst and spoke over his shoulder,” Ururaka the diamond!”

“Right,” said girl running past Walker to get the jewel.

Kamimari tried to make a move of stopping her but before he could so much as take one step he saw a spark of blue in the corner of his eye.

Above him, Kaminari heard a shout “Kaminari watch out!”

Kaminari sprang into action, thrusting his hands forward with determination. Walker's quirk struck him head-on, electric currents surging through his body. Kaminari focused, attempting to absorb the energy just as Jay had done, but this felt different—intense, almost overwhelming. He could feel the raw power radiating from Jay’s quirk, and it sent a thrill down his spine. Grounding himself, Kaminari planted his feet firmly, fighting against the tremendous force of Walker’s attack, determined not to be thrown off balance.

“VILLIAN TEAM WINS!!”

And that was it. Kaminari, caught off guard by the unexpected shout echoing through the microphone, felt his attention waver. That was all Walker needed to fully overpower him. As their quirks clashed Kaminari was sent flying back into the wall thankfully with only enough force to cause a few minor bruises. Not to mention the jolts of blue lightning that were now rocking his body.

Kaminari frowned,’ Okay…so, not electrification.’

Looking up he saw Ururaka, the diamond in hand, rush over to Walker. They exchange a victorious high-five before Ochako let Kouda down from the ceiling. Jay strode over to Kaminari and helped the blond up before the two groups made their way out to the observation deck

“Okay so now I know how that feels,” Kaminari said as they walked.

“Yeah I’ve been there,” Walker laughed,” you've got one heck of a power.”

Kaminari rubbed the back of his head,” Thanks. You too.”

“Dude that was Killer!” Kirishima yelled as he ran up to Kaminari, followed by Bakigou and Sero.

“Uh…. I lost.”

“Maybe but man was it awesome to watch, so manly holding your own against Walker like that.”

“I can't tell if that's a compliment or an insult,” Kaminari muttered.

“Not bad extra,” Bakugou said.

“You did great Ururaka, REPRESENT,” Hagakura cheered.

“How come I didn't get this much support against Todoroki and Smith?” Jiro asked

Hagakura scoffed, “No cheer section for losers.”

“You and Jay made a great team, your power is very effective in this sort of training.”

The three girls jumped at the voice, Ururaka turned around and found Julian standing behind her with a small smile.

Ururaka blushed slightly,” oh thank you,” she said rubbing the back of her head.

Zane smiled kindly before he went to join his friends.

“He's a little strange,” Jiro commented.

Hagakura spoke up behind her,“ I think he's nice”

“No falling for the enemy,” Jiro teased.

Hagakura spluttered and shoved Jiros's shoulder,” That's not it and you know it.”

‘Kind of reminds me of Todoroki’ Ururaka thought

Brookstone walked over to the blue ninja and gave him a friendly pat on the back causing the smaller boy to stumble from the force,” Awesome job,”

“Yeah you actually beat them, I'm impressed,” Kai added.

“WHAT-” Jay yelled, and then,” Ooh shade.”

“Walker-kun!” Midoriya exclaimed as he ran towards said boy

“Heh your turn for questioning,” Kai murmured to his friend.

Midoriya has managed to corner Jay and none of his friends seemed too eager to save him. The poor boy looked a little overwhelmed with so many questions being thrown at him, but one in particular caught Ururaka's attention.

“So your quirk isn't electrification like Kaminari?” The greenette asked.

“Nope, My quirk is lightning,” Walker replied

The rest of the class seemed to perk up at hearing that, all having thought Walker's quirk was the same as Kaminari's besides being a different color.

“What's the difference?” Sero asked from his spot next to Kaminari.

Oddly enough, it was Midoriya who responded,” In some respects, lightning can be viewed as a form of electricity, albeit on a much grander and more chaotic scale. While both phenomena involve the movement of electrical charges, there are several critical differences between them. For one, lightning is immensely more powerful, delivering an intense discharge of energy that occurs in an instant and often strikes in unpredictable ways. On the other hand, electricity is manageable; we can generate, transmit, and store it for various uses in our everyday lives.

When we consider their quirks, we see similar but distinct characteristics. For instance, Kaminari has a quirk that allows him to store electrical energy and release it in large bursts, which can be directed toward objects or opponents, making his ability quite versatile in combat. In contrast, the quirk held by Walker appears to center specifically around lightning itself, harnessing and manipulating not just the energy but the elemental nature of lightning as well.”

“Okay did anyone get any of that?” Sero questioned

Most of the class shook their heads looking just as confused as he was except Bakugou who just looked annoyed.

Iida looked thoughtful,” To my understanding, it seems what Midoriya is saying is that while there are evident similarities in their quirks related to energy, the scope and application of their powers set them apart significantly. Kaminari operates within a certain framework of manageability and control, while Walker’s ability seems to tap into the raw, untamed force of nature.”

“yeah….. That,” Jay pointed,” by the way it's just Jay. You guys can call us by out first names.” he added having realized that aside from Zane no one had corrected their classmates on their names yet. Jys teammates nodded behind him.

Sero gave a thumbs up,” Got it.”

The class chatted until Aizawa and All Might called for the team's evaluation. Ururaka and Jay were praised for their teamwork and stealth, with Ururaka crediting Jay for leading the way. Kaminari and Kouda faced some criticism, but Kaminari earned recognition for his quick thinking against both Ururaka and Jay. With only two fights left, Ochako was excited to see how the next one would unfold.

-

Bone-chilling. That's how it unfolded.

The match was set to begin just like the previous ones, with the heroes preparing their fortifications and the opposing team strategizing ways to outmaneuver them. However, there was a key difference this time around. Zane had drawn his weapon. While the other ninjas had opted to leave their weapons behind, either underestimating the situation or simply preferring not to engage, Zane stood ready with his bow, an arrow not yet notched in the string, but there was no doubt in Sero’s mind that he could have one at the ready at a moments notice. Sero wasn’t entirely sure what he was going to use it for or what he was willing to use it for, but honestly, the only thought in his mind was the hope that Zane had good aim. The Latino did not need his partner accidentally injuring someone by putting an arrow in their chest. Especially considering one of their opponents was someone neither of them could see.

Using his quirk Sero had already taken time to tape shut the other entrances, it wasn’t going to hold the opposing team back by any means but then again that wasn’t the point. The point of it was that for the “villains” to get inside they would have to break down the tape in the doorway. Hagakura may be invisible but she couldn’t go through solid matter.

”um, you don’t plan to use that do you?” Sero asked pointing to the bow in Zane’s gloved hands.

”I do should I need to, but don’t worry I do not intend to cause anyone harm,”

Sero made a face,’ what else would you use it for?’

Back in the observation room Kaminari looked nervous,” Um is he allowed to use that,” he questioned looking at the monitor.

Jay looked slightly offended,” I don’t want here anyone to question our weapons when this guy got a whole bomb on his wrist.” He said motioning towards Bakugou. The blond glared at him but said nothing.

“Wait a minute, so she's entirely invisible then? Cole questioned Midoroya who was standing to his right looking up at the screen and watching as Aoyama walked aside seemingly no one through the dark hallways.

“More like reflective invisible, that's why her clothes are still visible when she's not,” Midoriya explained.

“Wait wait wait, we can't see her at all right now though,” Kai said looking mildly uncomfortable,” is- is she naked!?”

Midoriya's eyes widened,” No! No no no no, well she used to have to take her clothes off in our first year, but recently she took inspiration from an upperclassman and figured out a way to make her costume out of her hair so that it disappears with her, but she can also choose to make it visible when needed.”

The three ninjas let out a collective relieved breath.

“I was so scared Zane was about to get indirectly flashed or something,” Kai sighed.

“Yeah no he'd freak out,” Jay laughed,” the guy's way too modest for that.”

Midoriya smiled and looked by to words the monitor,” I'm really excited to see this match, both Sero and Aoyama have promising quirks and you guys have all said your’e trained ninja which obviously helps you personally in stealth and combat, but I wonder how your friend will pose against Hagakura.”

“Yeah, I wonder.” Cole smiled.

The nindroid had not only chosen to pull his weapon but turned off any sensory systems he had feeling that it was cheating, and having the afterthought that he shouldn’t need his nindroid abilities to be a good ninja anyway. Side note that he calculated it would also be less suspicious in case he were to accidentally make a comment or assumption that no human being, training or not, should be able to make otherwise. The only scan he did leave on was the one he used to scan for injuries, there was no way that one would ever get powered down so long as it worked.

There were a few long minutes of silence as Sero and Zane circled the diamond keeping their eyes firmly on the three entrances, honestly, it was a pretty big room, with large pillars holding up the ceiling; Zane made sure to note any hiding places that the other team could use once they got in.

And got in they did. There were a few more minutes of silence when Zane heard them, soft voices going back in forth, and judging by Sero’s face he’d heard them too. One of them was invisible but neither was very quiet. It came as no surprise when a sparkly laser shot through Sero’s tape. Okay, maybe Zane wasn’t entirely expecting a sparkly laser but still.

In any case, the beam of sparkly light (or whatever that was) had created a large enough opening in the tape for two people to enter at once even though Zane only saw one. A blond boy with a very….knightish costume ran into the open room headed straight for the diamond, while also shooting another sparkly laser (from his stomach?) towards Zane and Sero. The two boys dove to one side, deciding to ignore where the laser came from at that moment, Zane stood quickly and by stomping his foot on the ground coated the floor with a thin sheet of ice.

“Oh shoot!” Sero exclaimed, caught off guard by the sudden slab of ice coating the ground.

“woah” Midoriya murmered as he watched the scene.

Todoroki took a not to subtle double take at the monitor. ‘An ice user too?’ He thought.

Aoyama tried to stop but he had too much speed. Once he hit the ice he fell flat on his butt sledding across the the floor in between Sero and Zane, straight past the diamond. Sero snapped himself out of his initial shock and fought Aoyama with his tape right before the boy slammed into the wall. Sero then used his tape to bind Aoyama against the wall and put an extra thick layer over Aoyama’s middle so he couldn’t escape easily.

While Sero kept an eye on Aoyama Zane searched the room for the invisible girl, both boys standing nearly back to back with the pedestal the diamond sat on.

Sero sighed,” Her hero name is literally ‘The stealth hero Invisible Girl,’ she could be anywhere in the room right now or not in the room at all.”

Zane kept quiet, listening.

1 second..

2..

In one swift motion, Zane whirled around, pulling an arrow and shooting. The arrow embedded itself on the far wall, a small gasp emitting from the direction where it hit.

In the observation deck, the rest of the class watched with confusion

“Um…. what was that about?” Mina questioned

“A tactic of intimidation perhaps” Tokoyami responded.

”By shooting at a wall?,” Kaminari argued,” maybe he just-” Kaminaris's words were cut short when he and the rest of the class caught sight of the barest trace of red, seemingly hovering in mid-air. Blood. The arrow hit its mark, just barely grazing where Hagakuras shoulder would be, right next to her head. A chill went down their spines.

“YEAH, my brother!,” Kai cheered.

“Wow he used it, ribbit,” Tsuyu said.

“Impressive,” Iida added.

“SERIOUSLY, WHAT ARE THESE GUYS MADE OF!” Kaminari yelled.

Zane notched another arrow, and said in a voice as cold as his quirk,” Do you yield,”

“YES! YES! I GIVE UP, just put down the bow okay.” Hagakura, or her costume, suddenly came into view. There was a small cut through her shoulder, bodiless gloves were held up in surrender.

“HERO TEAM WINS!!”

Now Zane wasn't normally the cocky type,-he left that to Kai-but he couldn't hold back the triumphant smirk that graced his lips at the clear victory.

The Ice ninja lowered his bow.

Notes:

I'm quite proud of my ‘Hagakura mad a suit out of her hair idea’. Wasn't really that important but it made me feel better and the scene better since she could become visiable again to show that Zane did in fact nearly hit her.

There is literally multiple scenes in sons of harmoadon where if you lay enough attention Zane is aiming for Harumis head. My guy don't play and I love him for it. I'm such a sucker for archer characters and Zane is just 👌. It was definitely hard to write Jays fight specifically and I do intend to have Jay specifically tap into his try potential at some point because all the others just get a more so power boost through their true potential, but THAT MAN CAN TELEPORT, FLY, AND TRAVLE THROUGH LIGHTNING IF HE WANTED TO AGH👏. I love it, but that'll be in a much later chapter. Anyway hope you enjoyed the chapter and have a lovely day. 👋

Chapter 8: A Small Slip Up

Summary:

The ninja get a feel for their new classmates, and then Jay opened his big mouth.

Notes:

Okay this is one of those more boring chapters i’ll admit, but I still had fun writing it.

I'm hoping to turn this story into one that is updated monthly at most seeing as how its been going so far. THIS CHAPTER TOOK FOREVER FOR ME TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO WRITE. I couldn't figure out the character interactions and yah gurl was struggled bussing but I did my best so here it is, enjoy. More action coming soon

Next chapter in fact stay tuned for a little Class B run in shenanigans (and angst). This is going to be so much fun for me.

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

Zane was practically mobbed when the teams made their way out of the large building.

Midoriya, brimming with enthusiasm, moved about the gathering like a whirlwind, eagerly jotting down notes. His eyes sparkled with excitement as he absorbed every detail shared by the Icy ninja about his abilities, desperate not to miss a single piece of valuable information. He almost seemed more excited about his bow skills than his actual quirk.

Zane and Sero were swiftly acknowledged for their teamwork, earning hearty pats on the back for their skillful use of their quirks. Meanwhile, Hagakura and Aoyama also garnered equal praise for their clever strategy, demonstrating a sharp understanding of tactics that complemented their teammates' abilities perfectly.

The Ninja observed with a sense of warmth as Zane became flustered by all the attention.

Hagakura found herself on her way to see Recovery Girl, despite her protests about missing the next match and her insistence that her injury was minor. Zane had come up to her not long after the battle repeatedly asking forgiveness and apologizing profusely for his actions. It was a bit confusing for her, realizing that the same boy who had shot an arrow so close to her head was now the one bowing in front of her, genuinely seeking forgiveness. His sweet demeanor was a stark contrast to the moment of fear she had experienced, and she found herself reassuring the sweet boy that she held no grudge against him for his actions.

The next battle wrapped up faster than anyone could blink, thanks to Midoriya's brilliant quirk and strategic planning. Even with just a glimpse of his power, each ninja could safely say he wasn’t someone to mess with.

In stark contrast to their training, the rest of the school day dragged on, painfully dull. The ninja had missed most of their classes since Aizawa had been giving them a lengthy tour all morning. The few classes they did attend were far less thrilling. English for one was LOUD!

Though even so the ninja found themselves pleasantly surprised by the normality of the classes throughout the day.

speakin of… All day, people had been staring and whispering, murmurs of who-knows-what buzzing through the air. News of the four new students spread like wildfire, and the attention was a bit overwhelming. Still, Kai couldn’t resist the opportunity to wink at a group of girls as they walked by, drawing a few giggles in response.

Another note was that thanks to Aizawas lengthy tour and then a briefing on the rules of UA and the laws of heroes in this world the ninja didn't join the class in time for lunch, thankfully Aizawa had taken pity on them during the rule briefing, and taken them out for something but that was hours ago and the four were eager to get some food in their system once school let out, especially after the hardy training earlier this afternoon.

-

As the night rolled into the dorms, the four new students headed up to their rooms to get things sorted after Aizawa dropped them off with their stuff—though honestly, they didn't have much besides their gear and a few bedding items they'd picked up a week earlier along with some changes of clothes. There had thankfully been enough room on the second floor of dorms for the Ninja to each take a room so they didn’t have to be scattered around the building. It felt odd not sharing a room like they had during their time on the bounty, but each of them quickly grew accustomed to having their own space. There was a comforting silence in knowing that, even if they were apart, the four brothers were just a door away from one another. The curfew was the more unusual aspect. Back on the bounty, the ninjas could come and go as they pleased, provided they left a note. Most of the time, though, they didn’t venture far—often just heading to train on deck or grab some groceries.

On that note, it was pretty clear to the ninjas that they were gonna need to get jobs if they were planning to stick around in this realm.

Kai had a split-second thought of being a kid's party entertainer again but then thought better of it. He had no desire to become another human pinata.

“Never doing that again,” he muttered to himself as he headed down the steps to meet up with the others in the common area.

“Never doing what again?”

In Kai's defense, the girl came out of nowhere so he can't be blamed for the fighting stance he took accompanied by a completely manly yelp thank you.

Once Kai fully processed who had spoken he took up his normal stance and ran a scarred hand down his face.

,” Jeeze asui, don't do that to me.”

The frog girl smiled and began walking alongside him,” Sorry, I didn't think anyone could sneak up on you the way you fought in training today, and call me Tsu.”

“Well, Tsu, at this moment my guard was down so I wasn't paying attention to my surroundings.”

“Hmm okay, what were you talking about,”

“What?”

Tsu quirked her head to the side,” You said ‘never doing that again what were you talking about?”

Kai's face went a little red,” Oh uh…..I was just thinking about a job and there was one time when I was a kid's party entertainer but that was a total nightmare.”

,” I used to take care of my younger siblings a lot, so I know how it feels to have to try and entertain some rowdy kids, ribbit.” Tsu laughed.

“You have younger siblings?” Kai asked

“mhm, a brother and sister, I used to have to take care of them a lot when my parents were away working and stuff.”

Kai lowered his gaze to the floor, feeling a weight in his chest. Tsu's words echoed in his mind, striking a chord that resonated with memories of his childhood. When their parents vanished, it fell on Kai to step into the role of caretaker, while simultaneously raising his younger sister, Nya. He often reflected on that time, and it seemed almost bittersweet when compared to Tsu’s experience, which at least appeared to include active parents.

Back then, Kai carried resentment towards their mom and dad for abandoning them until the truth came to light—their parents had been kidnapped by the time twins, a revelation that complicated his feelings. Despite his understanding, it didn’t erase the reality that he and Nya had grown up on their own.

“I get that,” Kai said trying to keep any sadness out of his voice,” I was always the one taking care of my little sister too.”

Nya. She was out there, facing Garmadon, fighting alongside Pixal and Lloyd. Kai couldn't shake the worry that clung to him like a shadow, knowing that his sister was entrenched in a perilous battle while he remained here, helpless. The weight of that fact pressed heavily on his heart, amplifying his sense of longing to help his sister, but faced with the knowledge that he couldn't.

“Hey, Kai, there you are,” Jay waved him over from his spot on the couch as Kai and Tsu made their way into the common room. Zane was sitting to Jay’s left with Cole perched on the armrest to his right.

Most of the other students were milling about sitting in other chairs or standing around talking with their collective groups.

Kai waved back walking up to his friends, he and Tsu going their separate ways for the moment.

“Hey can I ask what happened to your head.” Ururaka asked from across the room pointing at her own forehead for emphasis.

Kai touched the bandage below his hairline,” Oh this? I just took a nasty fall is all.”

Ururaka looked like she was going to ask more but she was interrupted by another voice before she could.

“Yo, whose turn is it to cook,” Sero questioned motioning around the room.

“I thought we made a schedule for this,” Iida spoke

“We did but whoever wrote the schedule's handwriting sucks.” Sero gave a pointed look at Sato with that one.

“HEY!”

“Okay, anyone wanna volunteer?” Mina questioned.

Cole raised his hand “I could always-.”

“NO!!” Cole didn't even finish his sentence before he was tackled to the ground by the other ninja. The commotion grabbed the attention of the rest of the room occupants.

“No, no no no no no” Jay pleaded.

“Oh come my cooking has gotten better,” Cole scoffed as he pushed his brothers off him,” what about my soup from a few weeks ago.”

“You mean the soup that got us all sick for three days,” Kai replied

“Yeah, please never make that again.” Jay agreed.

Zane helped the earth ninja to his feet,“ You are good at many things, but the cooking is left to me for a reason.”

“Isn't that ironic,” Cole muttered so no one would hear.

“I’ll just do it,” Bakugou grumbled as he got up and made his way to the kitchen.

“Aww, but you always make everything so spicy” Kaminari whined.

“YOU WANT FOOD OR NOT!”

“Fine by me.” Jay said,” So long as Dirtclaw here doesn't go anywhere near the kitchen.”

Cole rolled his eyes playfully and smacked his friend lightly over the head before sitting back down with Kai and Zane.

The class had gradually resumed their activities, but many students couldn't help but pay attention to the conversation that had just unfolded. It was striking how the interaction mirrored the playful banter and occasional teasing that often occurs between siblings. The warmth and comfort in the exchanges hinted at a deeper bond—one that felt both intimate and natural. It reminded a few students about how it sometimes felt to be part of their Class; like a small family.

From the kitchen, Bakugou's gaze locked onto a vibrant group of four. Watching them in training today was a revelation; their blend of control and stealth showcased a level of skill that left him intrigued. He would never say it out loud, but Cole especially had proven to be a formidable force during their battle, standing as a sort of equal alongside him in a way he hadn’t expected. Yet, there was an air of mystery surrounding the group—something about their powers. Bakugou felt curiosity bubble beneath his fierce exterior, wondering what lay beneath the surface of their camaraderie.

About an hour later, the delicious food was ready.

“Man, why must you make everything so hot Bakubro,” Kirishima complained sticking out his tongue.

“Stop complaining and just be happy I cooked at all,” Bakugou grumbled to his friend.

Cole leaned towards Kirishima,” Is he always like this?”

“Kind of,” Kirishima laughed,” But he's my bro whether he likes it or not.”

Bakugou, who heard the comment, rolled his eyes but didn't do anything to deny it.

“So uh what's up with the color-coded suits?” Jiro asked from across the table,” Did everyone at your school have something like that, or just you guys?”

“It's more of a team thing,” Cole explained,” each of us was given a color by our Sensai when he first brought us together, each one to symbolize our unique powers.”

“So you school trained in teams…..” Midoriya muttered thinking about the logistics of how that would work for people with such unique quirks. UA does team training trials all the time, but judging by Coles's wording the four of them had been training together as a team since they had met.

“And the whole Ninja thing?”

“Just how we were trained,” Cole shrugged.

Jiro nodded satisfied with the answer.

One by one the class got done with their meal and gradually returned to the common area. The ninjas had been speaking amongst themselves on the couch when someone interrupted.

“It is a shame none of you were at the sports festival this year,” Tokoyami said,” each of you would've been a formidable force.” the shadowing thing emerging from his body nodded its head In agreement, was dark shadow his name?

Iida adjusted his glasses,” It is true, your skill was clear in training today, there's no doubt in my mind that you will each become great heroes.”

The ninja shared a glance. ‘Little did they know’. Then Zane had a thought.

“The sports festival?”

Tokoyami looked confused,” Do you not have that?”

“It's a big competition held at UA where the students go through different trials to win. It was a way for students to show off their quirks and get the attention of heroes from hero agencies.”

Well, that sounded familiar and of course, Jay had to voice that.

“Oh yeah we went through something like that a year or so back, it was called the Tournament of Elements. Course it turned out to be an underground ruse to steal ours and the other competitor's powers but-”

Cole who had been sitting the closest to the blue ninja quickly clamped a hand over Jay's mouth, but he wasn't quite fast enough in his attempt.

The rest of the class had quickly honed in on the conversation at the mention of the sports festival and now we're staring at the four newest students with a mix of confusion and shock.

“Oops..” Jay mumbled beneath Coles hand.

Upon seeing their faces Cole sighed, moving his hand away from Jay's face,” Nice going moter mouth.”

Jay had the decency to look sheepish, sinking in his seat.

A heavy tension filled the room, the air thick with unspoken worries. A somber mood settled over the dormitory as the weight of Jay's words hung in the atmosphere, leaving everyone in stunned silence.

“You guys nearly had your powers stolen?!” Shoji urged.

“Well-”

“Shut up Jay!” Kai hissed.

Todoroki spoke next,” But….how?” the image of All For One was flashing through his head along with the rest of the class. To think there was a villain out there with the ability to steal powers the same way he could…. wasn't comforting.

Kai gave Jay a withering ‘I'm gonna kill you’ look. The fire Ninja ran a hand through his hair and, seeing no way around it, began to explain,” We were invited to a Tournament of Elements by a guy who called himself Master Chen, there we found other Elemental Ma- quirk users like ourselves. Didn't trust the event with a grain of salt and we were right not to. Chen had a plan to steal all the competitor's powers for himself, but we had no choice but to participate.”

“Why?” Ururaka asked

Cole, Jay, and Kai turned their gazes on Zane. The ice ninja sat rigid in his seat eyes glued to the floor.

Kai’s voice was soft,” Zane?”

It wasn't the most traumatic experience he’d been through but being kidnapped and having his memory stolen for a time, again, had caused a bit of damage. Not to mention finding the girl he loved in pieces. The Ice Ninja looked up at his friend, nodding slightly.

Kai looked back to the group of students around him.

“They kidnapped Zane,” He said at last.

A shared look of concern and empathy crossed the faces of Class A as they recalled Bakugou's own kidnapping and the deep sense of desperation they had felt in their hearts to bring him back safely.

No one saw it but something in Bakugous's gaze shifted. An understanding look passed by his features before once again, being shadowed by his usual scowl.

“He’d been gone so long we thought he was dead then we find a paper in an alley telling us Our brother’s still alive and were not supposed to go find him?” Kai continued,” We didn't have a choice.”

”Were they stopped?” Iida asked fully aware that at the very least the group in front of him had gotten out safely but that said nothing for the other victims, or wether or not the mad man and his people had been caught.

Kai took on a confident smirk,” We did. Figured out his plan and took him down before he could do any harm; put him somewhere where he can never hurt anyone ever again,” Kai decided not to mention that the somewhere had been the cursed realm which has now been destroyed and probably meant Chen's destruction too,”I wasn't all bad, though,” he continued. “It was cool meeting people with powers like us; make some friends.” The red ninja allowed his mind to drift to Skylar, just another person he’d left behind. He missed her.

“And everyone's quirks?” Midoriya pressed

“All accounted for,” Cole smiled.

A sense of relief washed over the students, all thankful that the heroes had gotten involved before anything bad could take place, but it was tempered with a heavy awareness of the thoughts racing through their minds. They couldn't help but wonder what else their new classmates had experienced. Zane's kidnapping….the way it had been recounted—with an unsettling nonchalance and guarded secrecy; perhaps because it was a traumatic experience?—only deepened their curiosity. It left them grappling with the unsettling feeling that there were more hidden stories beneath the surface, stories that might reveal even greater struggles.

Silence enveloped the room as Class A pondered the new revelation. They could feel the deep bond shared by the four ninjas, and with that glimpse into their adventures, curiosity bubbled up within the class. What more did they not know about them?

Cole stood abruptly nearly making the whole class jump out of their skin,” Right on that happy note I'm gonna turn in,” and he left with his teammates tailing behind him leaving the class in their thoughtful silence.

Notes:

By the way, I don't know what the frick I'm doing when it comes to the character interactions. I can barely do it in real life let alone a story, but I'm doing my best. This chapter was pretty much just to get a feel for a few of the character interactions I had planned and I just could not choose who I wanted to interact with who and how, but this was just the start and there will be more of that to come later of course (you know once I figure out how).

Anywizzle though I hope this chapter was okay it's defiantly not my best; I hate writing the in-between bits of the stuff that I actually want to get to but it must be done. If anyone has any characters they would specifically like to see interact or just characters they'd like to see more of I would love to hear it. Specially if you feel a wrote a someone a bit too out of character.

And incase anyone is wondering there will eventually be more mentions of Nya and Lloyd and there will be Villian attacks coming soon but for now I need the ninja to get to know the environment so I can set up the relationships and the drama. So for now we wait (trust me I hate it too) Bye until next time 👋 😘.

Chapter 9: Visions and More Questions

Summary:

Zane has a vision leading him to some possible answers but even more questions.

Notes:

I just NEEEDED to post SOMETHING! I was gunna make this longer and have character interactions with class A but I decided to save that for next chapter seeing as I though it would transition better that way. Hope you enjoy this what might as well be a filler but equally as important chapater.

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

It was dark, unrelenting darkness that enveloped Zane like a heavy cloak, swallowing him whole. This was the first thing he noticed, and it struck him with an unsettling weight. The black void stretched endlessly in every direction, devoid of any light or form. As Zane's senses adjusted to the gloom, another sensation washed over him: a bone-deep chill that crept through the air like a whisper, settling into his mechanical bones.

This was no ordinary cold; it wasn't the fleeting chill from a change in the weather or the sting of a bitter wind like that which came from Zane's powers; rather, it hinted at something far more sinister lurking in the shadows. A dark presence, palpable and oppressive, loomed just beyond the reach of his vision.

“Hello?” Zane called to the void,” Is anyone there?”

Unsurprising, there was no answer, not even the reply of his echo in the darkness. Still, the presence lingered

Suddenly, the floor beneath Zane's feet began to crack and splinter, revealing a blinding light that speared through the darkness. With an unexpected jolt, he plunged through the gaping fissure, falling into the radiance that enveloped him. He landed hard on the ground, feeling the impact reverberate through his bones. As he stood up, he found himself in a completely unfamiliar setting.

He stood in an awe-inspiring temple, its architecture a stunning fusion of intricately carved stone and shimmering diamond. The walls rose majestically, adorned with ancient symbols and patterns that Zanw didn't recognize. Sunbeams filtered through high, pillars, casting intricate shadows across the floor. In the very heart of this grand structure, a solitary pedestal loomed, atop of which glowed an ornate scroll, its aged parchment hinting at secrets long buried.

Zane felt a pull beckoning him toward the artifact. As he approached, the previously sinister presence that lingered in the air began to dissipate, giving way to something warmer and strangely familiar. It was a feeling he couldn't quite identify, one that wrapped around him like a comforting embrace, urging him closer to the scroll that held so much allure.

Zane's hand moved purposefully toward the scroll, a decision that felt instinctive and unavoidable. As his silver fingertips brushed against the ancient parchment, a surge of violent images erupted in his vision.

People discovered their extraordinary powers from a young age, blending and evolving to forge new abilities across generations. In the heart of a mystical forest, a magnificent temple of stone and jewel lay hidden, shrouded in secrets. Radiating with golden light, a man emerged like a beacon, “Zane” he called in a soft tone. Zane saw himself and his friends fighting in the remains of a city block, the chilling sight of their newfound classmates—eyes wide with fear and confusion—gazing up at Him, standing resolutely with his brothers fresh from a battle seemingly awaiting some response.

Suddenly Zane was back in the void as he gazed upon the man standing before him, a single spotlight resting above the two, an overwhelming sense of dread washed over him, as if a dark shadow had settled in the air. The figure was shrouded in an inky obscurity, with no distinct features visible. A bone-chilling aura permeated the space around the man, wrapping Zane in an unsettling embrace.

Surrounding them was a small group of people unmoving and emotionless like drones awaiting instruction. Each was shrouded in a dark cloak with not a shadow of their face visible as they stood in the vacuum of darkness. In the void where the man's face should be, there was a circle with arrows of different sizes, jutting out in all directions.

Then, a laugh erupted from the man’s frame—a low, menacing sound that reverberated through the darkness, echoing ominously in all directions with unsettling power.

Zane stood firm,” Who are you?”

The figure continued to laugh deep and sinister.

“WHO ARE YOU?” Zane shouted,” WHAT DO YOU WANT?”

His only response was the laughter, growing louder until Zane could feel the sound reverberating painfully in his skull. He found himself pressing his hands to his ears in an attempt to drown it out.

“No, STOP!” Zane called, squeezing his eyes shut.

Zane's head grew more painful, flashes appearing in his mind once more.

He saw himself being shot at by an ark of crackling energy in slow motion, Jay, standing in the rain, with his eyes glowing bright blue as he raised his hands to the clouds. He witnessed Kai plummeting through the air, Cole, eyes clouded by an unnatural white, unleashed a ground-shaking earth punch at an unseen enemy. “Zane” that voice….

The images continued growing faster and more painful until they became so vivid he could no longer make them out. The figure's laughter grew louder.

“STOP!”

Zane jolted awake with a sharp gasp, his eyes snapping open wide as panic surged through him. His heart raced, pounding in his chest (or as much as it could considering his heart was a power capsul) as shallow breaths escaped his lips. He shot up in bed, his gaze darting around the dimly lit confines of his dorm room. It took a few moments for clarity to settle in as he struggled to grasp his surroundings. Zane felt a wave of relief wash over him as recognition replaced the initial fear. Looking at the clock next to his bed he found it to be 3:30 in the morning.

Zane settled back into his bed; the man's laugh seemed to bounce across the walls as it echoed in his mind. He didn't sleep much more that night

————————————(They gym)—-————————-

The sun hung low in the sky, casting long shadows across the training grounds where the ninja had seized the opportunity for a sparring session after their classes. A tense atmosphere enveloped the group as Zane, unusually quiet and distant throughout the day, finally spoke up about his latest vision.

“You think we should tell someone about this?” Kai grunted, deflecting one of Zane’s arrows with the flat of his sword. He closed the distance quickly, swinging down at Zane’s head. But Zane was prepared, blocking the strike with his bow and thrusting Kai back a step.

“I feel it is only right,” Zane replied.

Very few heroes at UA were aware of the looming threat, including Principal Nezu—understandably so—along with All Might, Present Mic, and Recovery Girl. They were the elite few who might rally to assist if Aizawa couldn’t handle whatever situation lay ahead.

“Your sure it wasn't just some,”-Jay swiftly dodged a punch aimed at his midsection from Cole-,” freak nightmare,” he finished countering with a swift roundhouse kick to Coles face.

“I am certain,” Zane confirmed,” but wether or not the heroes of this world will be of any help is unclear. My visions tend to leave more questions then answers,” his voice was steady, but with an underlying uncertainty.

“Yeha I've got nothing for that one, but it couldn’t hurt to ask what they know,” Cole reasoned, catching Jay’s foot mid-air, “Maybe one of the heroes knows something about that scroll or at least about that strange symbol we saw.”

Jay yelped as Cole swung him around, sending him crashing to the ground. He quickly sprang back to his feet as he gripped his nunchucks. “Oh yeah, because that won't make us sound crazy,” he replied, sarcasm dripping from his tone. “Hey, have you seen a scroll lying around or a shadowy figure with a bizarre, circular arrow emblem for a face?”

Kai paused his assault on Zane, rolling his eyes at Jay’s quip. “No one asked for your sarcasm, Jay,” he shot back, a hint of annoyance in his voice.

With a raised eyebrow, Cole added, “Aizawa already knows about our, uh, situation. I doubt Zane’s dream will catch him off guard.”

Zane interjected, irritation in his tone, “It was not a dream; it was a vision!” He focused, directing a burst of ice at Kai.

“Woah!” Kai yelped, narrowly flipping out of the way. A laugh escaped him as he sheathed his swords, igniting his flames and launching a series of fireballs into the air.

Meanwhile, Jay charged at Cole, crackling energy sparking between his fingers as he leaped over Cole, who was swinging his hammer for a hit. “Well, whatever it was,” Jay exclaimed,“How do we even know he'll be of any help? Hoowa!” He unleashed a bolt of lightning towards Cole who easily dodged the strike.

“You got any better ideas,” the earth ninja scowled.

“Well- no, I just-WAH!” Jay called out as his legs were swiftly taken out from underneath him.

The blue ninja glared playfully up at Cole who was smiling above him with his hammer raised over his shoulder,” Ha, gotcha.”

“Hey guys!”

The four ninjas turned to the familiarly soft voice to find Shinsoi standing just inside the gym doors.

“Sorry, I just came by to tell you that dinner will be ready in an hour or so.”

“Thank you, friend,” Zane replied,” we will be along shortly.”

Shinsou nodded and with a small wave, he was gone.

Cole helped Jay off the floor,” Look, after dinner, we’ll tell Aizawa what Zane saw. Whether he can help or not we’ll just have to see, no reason to keep it a secret anyway. Who knows? Maybe he's already found something that'll help us.”

“Cole’s right,” Kai said walking over to the two along with Zane,” We need to get back to Ninjago as soon as possible, FSM knows what a going on there right now.”

“ We will make it back Kai,” Zane assured the fire ninja,” that is one thing I'm most certain of. Perhaps that scroll is the key.”

“If we can find it,” Jay muttered.

“Can we try and be a little more optimistic please?” Cole pleaded.

Jay sighed,” Yeah, sorry I just….”

Cole placed a comforting hand on his friends shoulder,” We’re all worried Jay. But Nya and Lloyd are strong, they'll be okay.”

“If I'm being honest what worries me most is the visions of each of us,” Zane added.

“You mean Kai falling or when you were being blasted my sole mysterious energy?” Cole asked

“Affirmative toigh they were vague images k cnat help but feel none were in moments of equity”

“Well if there some thing I've learned its that your vision come true no matter what. I don't like the thought of free-falling through the air but I don't see what we can do to stop it,” Kai mentioned a little deflated by his own words each of the ninja knowing how correct he was.

Cole wrapped his arm around Jay, pulling Kai in too,”Come one guys lets hold of the doom and gloom for all we know Zanes visions might finally break their streak,” Cole said though even he knew the possibility of Zanes visions being wrong was not a likely one,” now come on I'm itching for some food.”

“ Well at least that's still the same.”

“Shut it Jay.”

—————-(Aizawas room at the dorms)———————-

Aizawa's instincts were on high alert as he swung open the door for his four newest students, their anxious expressions reflecting the unease in his gut.

It was heartbreaking to see the four boys so desperate for answers and a way out of this unfamiliar world. The confusion and uncertainty in their eyes were evident, and it was clear how much they longed for clarity and a solution. A solution that despite Aizawas best effort, he could not provide. Aizawa's research on potentiall realm jumping quirks had come up empty. Aizawa didn't know much about the Ninjas home realm or the adversity they faced there other than the initial battle that landed them here. As far as Aizawa new the magical ways of travel the ninja had described upon their first arrival don't exist within this one, and if there was no quirk at work to help, Aizawa had very little knowledge of what else could.

As Aizawa ushered the Ninja inside, Zane didn’t even give him a chance to ask questions before he dove right into the tale of the visions that had haunted him the night before.

After the Ice user's story came to a close, a tense silence enveloped the room as Aizawa contemplated the information presented to him. Unfortunately, Zane's vague experiences left Aizawa with very little to work with, making it even more challenging to help them.

He considered the implications of Zane's visions and whether he could fully trust their accuracy. When he voiced his concerns, however, the doubts were quickly countered by the group of ninjas, who eagerly recounted instances where Zane's predictions had come to fruition just as they were foretold. It was clear that there was a strong belief in Zane’s apparent….prophetic abilities. Another thing to add the the list.

“I ran the mysterious symbol through m- a database and all it came up with was that it was the symbol for chaos.” Zane addressed

Aizawa sighed rubbing the back of his neck. Truth be told he had no clue what any of the images Zane had been victim to could entail. “I’ve never seen the symbol. it’s possible it could belong to some cult or gang, but if it is it belongs to a group that hasn’t yet shown themselves.”

“Dang it” Kai murmured.

Cole looked down at his feet

Aizawa hummed thinking again,” That scroll you saw, the temple. You mentioned it felt familiar.”

“Yes,” Zane affirmed,” It was like I was being pulled, and the power it held was familiar; though I am unaware why. But I have reason to believe it may be the key to our departure of this realm.”

“And that reason would be….”

“All the realm are connected in some way,” Zane began,” each have a way in as-well as a way out. An artifact, a substance SOMETHING that links them together. The underworld has a portal, ninjago travelers tea; if we came to this realm there must be some connection between our worlds that brought us here. There must be a way back. My visions have only ever shown the truth and that scroll means something. The power was warily familiar; I believe it is the connection and hence may be what can lead us home.”

“ I don't recognize anything about it either, but its as good a lead as any. I’ll look into it,” Aizawa said as he stood up and began leading the boys out of his room.

“What about the weird group of people with the symbol?” Jay questioned as he stepped out into the hallway.

“Look,” Aizawa started looking more tired than ever,” Possible worst-case scenario – the emergence of another villain group that the Pros may soon have to face. I encourage all of you to exercise caution and refrain from engaging with this possible new enemy,” Aizawa said with a pointed look,” If this ‘visions’ does prove to be true and they are a new villain group, they are likely to be a threat. While Im not entirely certain how they might connect with you, I don’t want any more problem children to take unnecessary risks. Leave the confrontations to the heroes.” Then with a glance at the clock Aizawa encouraged the boys to bed as he shut the door to his room.

Kai glared at the closed door as the others began walking away,” We are heroes.”

Notes:

You think the discussion of the vsisok was good? I was having a stupid hard time writing it trying not to make it forced or boring or unnatural. Personally I don’t particularly like this chapter I’m horrible at rotting this kind of post tensions serious conversation stuff
If it felt that way and anyone has advice on how to fix it please do say something cause I would appreciate it.
I will say I had fun with Zane’s visions, what does it mean?
