Summary
Light Yagami starts to become increasingly bored in class, as he hasn’t been taught anything he doesn’t already know for a long time. When Ryuk notices this, he decides to tell Light a story from his past, giving him something more interesting to pay attention to.
“About a hundred years back, during the Meiji era or whatever you’d call it, there was this other Shinigami who let a human use her Death Note,” Ryuk told Light as he stared at his teacher with disinterest. “Her name was Eye-ya— sharp, cold, and spiteful. Didn’t trust anyone but me, and even that’s debatable. The human? Miyo Saimori. Everybody treated her like crap.”
Light listened intently to Ryuk’s story as he sat peacefully in class, pretending to take notes on the lesson.

Another fun little romp into a world I know relatively little about. I watched the anime on netflix a few years back, I watched the Live action movies a few years back and I watched the Netflix special when it came out.
Death Note is special, it's a delightful mystery story and I love and cherish my memories of it.I know there'll be stuff I got wrong with x or y but I hope people understand what I was going for.

**CONTEXT**
Mello and Matt are living in seperate flats and neither of them is doing well. Mello broke nearly all contact with Matt because he wants to gain independence from Matt. He’s not hostile but he keeps his distance. A few weeks ago, he showed up with a bloody bag on Matt’s doorstep in the middle of the night, which was his initiation gift to gain access to Rod Ross’ mafia gang. Matt is working in some tech startup company and they’re throwing a party for some big launch for software they developed.🔸 In 2.1, Matt has been falling in love for Mello over the last couple months. He was at his breaking point one night, completely bawling his eyes out over the realisation that he fell for his male friend who apparently couldn’t care less about him and the love he feels will forever be unrequited. He tried to get on with his life, trying to get Mello out of his head, which worked better every day, as Mello was not seeking contact. Until he showed up with the bloody bag in the dead of night at his doorstep and the feelings boiled up once more.
