Wriothesley abandons his post as an infantry colonel for a chance to become a dragon rider and wield magic. Summary
The rider quadrant of Decelis is in chaos. Their commanding officer has been hit. And it's the work of another rider who has no business here anymore. Because he is a fucking traitor.
Or: Six Flames is the name of the group of riders that work as an independent working force in Decelis. They are responsible for training Assassins. Yang Jungwon is enlisted to enroll for the rider’s quadrant when his brother is murdered. He is determined to find his brother’s killer and put him to the executioner’s axe.
But enrolling requires him to pass through a series of trials. In the midst of it, the commander of his associate is attacked by one of the betrayers of their group. There used to be six flames, but now there are five. One of them betrays the leader as he backs out of an important job at the last moment. One Dragon, one rider, one secret, lost to fate.
Now, Jungwon must not only chase his brother’s killer but also figure out why Sim Jaeyun betrayed them and why it hurts him so much to admit that.

Katsuki's journey at Basgiath to be number one and bond a dragon of amazing strength.
Katsuki comes from a long generation of dragon Riders. His mother is a Rider. Her father was a Rider. Her father's /father/ was a Rider, and so on, until his bloodline can be directly traced to one of the First Six who were ever brave enough (see: /crazy/ enough) to ride the first dragons.
Katsuki's always craved the power, the /freedom/ of the Riders Quadrant. And to potentially bond with a dragon? Even if it means maybe being burned alive? Worth it.
Plus Katsuki looks fucking good dressed in black.
