Steady, that's the best way to describe the sea that day.
Wilbur is the opposite though. He's gone mad, delusional, anything to make sense of a boy with golden blonde curls and a fire made tail. Slumping at the railing Wilbur sighs heavily. He looks over the water still in search of that tail he yearns to see again if only a glimpse.
Maybe it would calm him, maybe it would break his remaining self. He just wants to know.

The voices were muffled and Dream could barely make out what they were saying, but the other one was surely Tommy. He stood up and jogged up the stairs and located the two people near Wilbur’s office. One of them was indeed Tommy and the other Dream had never seen in his life, but they wore a red and gray varsity jacket and joggers and a backpack discarded on their right. They had knelt down in front of Tommy who was shaking and crying. Before taking another step in their direction Dream finally looked around the office floor. It was like a hurricane had swept through the whole place; stairs had fallen over and slashed open, papers and trash everywhere and something wet spotted the carpet. The doors were wide open and showed the mess inside, considering it was his office, it was weird Wilbur was nowhere to be found.

It's another night where Wilbur shuffles into his room; Tommy always wakes up. He finds it hard to sleep soundly anymore and so the door clicking then the feet shuffling lets him know Wilbur is there. The bed dips by his hip.
The bed is big enough, Tommy always sleeps on the right side but Wilbur never crawls in on the left. At first Tommy thought Wilbur was trying to wake him up since you have to go around the whole bed to sit there. Then Wilbur lays down on the 6in of space and curls his arms around his brother's now broader shoulders. Brown curls press into his chin and pale knobby knees knock into his shins.
