The year is 1778 in Donaghadee, Northern Ireland. Remmick is presented with a choice, placing the balance of his community in his hands. Will he die a martyr or beg to live forever?
Inspired by Barrett’s Privateers, this fic poses that Remmick was aboard the infamous Antelope vessel of 1778 that set sail from Nova Scotia in hopes of reaching the Caribbean but met its end when it raided an American vessel. The Antelope sunk in the Atlantic but left our narrator, Remmick (our beloved) to tell the tale. Perhaps it wasn’t really a raid that sunk the ship, or at least not entirely. This fic brings us up to the general era that Sinner’s takes place in.
This is the story of Remmick. And the story of his wife.
It’s historical fiction on top of historical fiction baby let’s rock and roll.

He picked this spot knowing it was years disconnected from the Eggnet, so even the doctor wouldn’t be able to find them here…
He lifted his heavy head, his red eyes sparked like they got on mad fire. He tried to cover it, blinking slowly, not sure what was there to hide. The blue hedgehog standing in front of him seemed to notice, but it didn’t matter, because there was no way he could expect what was growing in Shadow’s heart.
He gave him one last worried calming smile as he took one last conscious breath, letting himself fully transform into a monster he couldn’t fight to be anymore.
