When Viridi unexpectedly falls ill, an heirloom left behind by her mother brings a shocking revelation on the nature of godhood itself. In the hopes of finding answers, Viridi brings her forces to an alternate dimension.
Not long afterward, Reimu Hakurei receives and urgent message. A goddess from the outside world has conquered Moriya Shrine, holding its resident gods captive in an attempt to steal all the faith for herself. Even stranger, she brings with her underlings unlike any that Gensokyo has seen before.

Summary
Down on earth, something old and evil starts to awaken. Its destructive presence begins to corrupt destroy everything on the Overworld, and Palutena and Viridi send Pit and Dark Pit down to investigate it.
Being a servant to the Goddess of Light has its downsides, however, and Pit quicky learns that there are things in Palutena's past that she'd rather keep hidden. Will Pit remain at her side, even as a new disease stemmed from the Chaos Kin starts to lay victim to the gods? It's a race against time as the angels learn about trust and faith, their lives at stake trying to protect the ones they love most.

Lucas is back in the Smash Brothers Mansion and he’s better than ever. To show how much stronger he has gotten he proceeds to show off his psychic powers and ends up messing with Dark Pit by accident. Nothing can be resolved due to Pittoo being forced on a mission to go to the Netherworld and deal with the Great Pirate who made with the grand treasures of many of the Gods. If Dark Pit does this mission successfully, he’ll be acknowledged for his deeds by the angels of heaven, but the problem is that Lucas tagging along to make up for the blunder he made earlier that day and making things worse for the both of them.
