He is furious until the spirits of Yuletide come to him and show him the full truth about Merlin. There is some anger and angst along the way, but an eventual happy ending makes for a satisfying holiday story. This tale is, of course, inspired by Dickens' timeless Christmas story: "A Christmas Carol."

It wasn't an epic hatred, like the one between dark wizards and the chosen ones chosen by a Prophecy (Merlin loved Harry Potter and wouldn't apologize, sorry); it was a more... practical hatred. The kind that arose when the neighbor started the washing machine at two in the morning. Or parked in his neighbor’s driveway. Or worse yet, jogged at six in the morning in front of your door just because he was the devil's most loyal and tried to damn people to Hell by stimulating their murderous instincts.
