Summary
In this AU fanfiction series, an unknown toad, who is not from around Frog Valley, stumbles upon a tower full of other warfaring toads called the South Tower (aka Toad Tower). However, as he explores the Toad Tower, he befriends the intimidating leader and ruler of the place, Captain Grime; as well as two friendly toads in the tower, Percy and Braddock, and Bron, who is the only frog in the tower.
Despite coming from a different valley and being a fighter, the unknown toad somehow spends his days in the struggling tower, accompanying the toads from either weird misadventures or dangerous threats, while he builds some unlikely relationships in an unlikely setting.

The Calamity is on what’s supposed to be a routine data pick-up. Some outpost on a far-off planet was abandoned in a panic when one of the scientists was killed in an experiment, and everyone forgot to back up their research to their ship’s systems before leaving. In fact, it almost seems like they specifically tried to encode it so it wouldn’t be read, but it’s more likely it’s just classified information they didn’t want just anyone to get their hands on.
But the crew of the Calamity aren’t “just anyone.” They’re some of the best-equipped individuals in the galaxy to deal with shit from outer space. Led by Captain Andrias Leviathan, this is the perfect mission for fledgling communications officer Ensign Anne Boonchuy and her colleagues and fellow graduates Sasha Waybright and Marcy Wu. Even with the four little stowaways on board, this mission should go off without a hitch.
Until it doesn’t, and Lieutenant Percy is found dead, and fingers start pointing at a deadly alien impostor onboard. As the casualties start mounting up and the list of suspects starts narrowing, Anne has to chose her allies carefully, or she’ll risk losing everyone she loves.

Rosemary’s head hurt.
That was the first thing that registered for her when she came to. Next, it was the rough leaves brushing against her tan, freckled skin. The noises of all the little things came to place. Chirping birds, Leaves rustling, the clicking of whatever unknown animals lurked behind her closed eyes.
She flipped over onto her back and squinted at the bright sun. Was she in her room? No, that was wrong. Her room was not bright, nor full of trees and the noises of unseen animals.
The weight of this settled on her shoulders, 'Holy shit I’m in the woods-', and she shot to her feet, whirling around in a circle, just on the whim that her friends were there too.

In other words, a whole new Calamity Trio comes to the light, and luckily for Rosemary, she has the former trio to help her get home.
Unlucky for her is that her journey is much, much longer than expected. -

As they were messing around in the sand, Anne and Sasha's parents came to pick them up, leaving Marcy alone to wait for her parents.
Marcy started digging some sand up to make a sand castle when her shovel hit something hard. She quickly retracted her shovel, and brushed the sand away.
It was a box.
