Collei's eyes shot open, her body drenched in a cold sweat from another one of her nightmares. A constant reminder of her trauma.
She hates how her nightgown sticks to her body— touching her.
There’s too many different feeling of textures on her body.
She wants them to be gone.
Without pausing to think, she leapt out of her bed and began to run, her sickly legs straining with the effort as if that’ll help her run away from her trauma.
She paid no heed to the darkness of the night or the exhaustion in her muscles. Her only thought was to put as much distance between herself and her nightmares as possible, to escape from the horrors that haunted her even in her dreams.
In the dead of night, Collei woke up with a start, a cold sweat clinging to her skin. Her heart raced, and fear gripped her. The remnants of a bad dream still lingering in her mind. She spent zero time running away— all the way to Sumeru City.
There she encounters her other two fathers and she spends time at their abode.

Collei and Freminet have been friends ever since Collei visited Fontaine with Cyno and Tighnari for the first time. It’s been an entire month since the aquabuses shut down and the trio haven’t been able to move back to Sumeru in a long time. Finally, the city announces that extra boats from Bayda Harbor will be taking citizens to Sumeru City. Now is their chance to leave, but…
Collei will need to say goodbye to her friend. And with that, they decide to go stargazing for their final day until then.
But as they learn more about each other on this day, letting all of their secrets out in the breeze, Collei learns something about Freminet that she wished she never knew.
TLDR; Collei finds out that Freminet is a member of the Fatui. She doesn’t know what to think or do. Their friendship is on the rocks...

"Hair... can hold memories?" she repeated softly, the realization slowly sinking in. Tighnari's statement carried a deep meaning, and Collei began to understand the importance of taking care of her hair, as a way of caring for the memories that came with it.
