Summary
“How?” Jayce asks breathlessly. The figure doesn’t respond; instead, they lift a slender hand, covered in strange blue veins and runes, and for a moment, it looks like the figure might drop something from their hands to Jayce’s gloved ones before they pause.
In a universe two steps from canon, the Arcane Herald exists as a patron god of Zaun. At age 8, Jayce encountered this god, changing the course of his life. At age 14, he is discovered by the Herald’s order and told he’s the god’s Chosen, his mortal consort. At age 18, Jayce is sent to live in the Commune, the heart of the Herald’s order, to ascend to his destined status.
Given a year to prepare, Jayce is paired with an Acolyte named Viktor to teach him the ins and outs of his role. As time goes on, Jayce finds himself drawn to Viktor, unable to stop himself from falling for the other man. Jayce finds himself torn between his growing feelings for Viktor and his destiny with the Arcane Herald. Meanwhile, Viktor is holding onto a secret of his own. The only question is if this secret will bring them together or tear them apart.

Summary
In the year 3099, Piltover is a cyberpunk dystopia run by Medarda Corporation, which has monopolized the production and selling of cyberware. If technology runs Piltover, Ambessa Medarda is only a close second, hoarding the profits of cyberware to herself and a few others, and using the Piltover Police Department to silence any discordance.
Jayce is working for Medarda Corporation as a lead scientist, conducting research on a project he calls Hextech. The idea has the capacity of being as revolutionary as cyberware once was —as a sort of technology that improves the human body’s functions without the replacement of living tissue— except lately the Medarda board has been threatening to shut it down. When Jayce sees himself on the verge of unemployment, he thinks Hextech is done for.
What he doesn’t expect to find is two strangers in his lab, trying to steal his notes with the help of his friend Caitlyn.

In a fit of jealousy and tired of being overlooked, Viktor will acquire Sky's and Jinx's help to finally stand out among the ton. Will his efforts lead him to finding true love elsewhere, or will they inescapably lead him right back to Lord Talis' arms?

Viktor says it like that’s it. Like that’s that. Like that’s the subject squared away and put to rest. Like Jayce isn’t going to be thinking about whatever the fuck is going on with that for the next five business days, because he can’t stand discovering something so terribly fascinating and not knowing how it works.
Jayce, plagued by an uncharitable reputation that he doesn't work well with other alphas, finds out afterward that the enigmatic beta he meets on Progress Day is not, in fact, a beta. This certainly will not pose any issue whatsoever.

Most of the University of Piltover's student body has vacated, making a glittering ghost town out of the campus and its surrounding blocks. Many are summering with their parents in mountain chateaus or on foreign shores. The ones that remain are arranging day trips, devouring hungover brunches, or still in bed. Certainly, they're not spending their Sunday morning in the sterile, fluorescent-lit halls of the physics building. Still, their well of impending tasks runneth over, so Viktor claimed responsibility for a handful of grant proposals. He's making decent progress, if he does say so himself.
There's a wet hiccup from the floor.
The real reason that Viktor is in the lab on a Sunday. He rolls his desk chair back far enough to examine the source.
Viktor sighs indulgently. "Really, Jayce. I thought we agreed that you were going to be patient."
Viktor gets to indulge in a long-held fantasy involving his and Jayce's shared desk.

Summary
After being spat out by the rune, Jayce and Viktor need to come to terms with their past, live with the burden of their regrets and the limitations of their own bodies, all this while also juggling with the implications of a relationship that burned all the stages in the wrong order.
Viktor struggles to reconcile his non-human form with his rediscovered emotions, feeling trapped in an inorganic body that is not his own anymore. Meanwhile Jayce finds comfort in the arts, using drawings and paintings as a way to cope with his trauma, but most of all elevating Viktor as his muse. And what better way to show Viktor how worthy of love and devotion he is, if not how he's seen through Jayce's eyes?
Jayce will firstly capture Viktor's beauty on canvas, and then proceed to demonstrate in practice just how devoted he is to his body and soul.

The Council couldn't be convinced, and Jayce Talis’ trial ends with him being exiled from Piltover. While the Undercity would be included as a part of Piltover, Jayce finds that they do not care as long as he never steps foot on the north side of the river again, and ends up impulsively taking in three children who have also lost everything.
