When Louis opens his eyes to look up at Zayn, his friend's gaze is locked behind his back. His eyes are wide in shock, and then Louis feels it, the presence of someone else in the room. It causes him to draw back like he was burned.
His neck whips around to the bedroom door, and his gaze falls on a familiar pair of green eyes.
“Harry,” Louis whispers in shock.
Harry is standing there. Frozen. His gaze keeps shifting between Louis and Zayn like he's waiting for an explanation.
“Harry,” Louis whispers again.
Harry's eyes snap back to him. Confusion is written all over his face. That sinking feeling inside Louis' chest deepens. He realizes he can finally put a name on it.
Guilt.
“It's not what it looks like. I can explain,” Louis hurries to say.
The confusion in Harry's eyes morphs into something else. Hunger.
Harry's hand sneaks to the front of his trousers, subtly adjusting himself and fucking fuck.
Harry is hard.

Meeting your soulmate was the most joyous event of one’s life… or at least, it’s supposed to be. Harry, in all of his 25 year old wisdom, was suspicious of the role fate plays in everyone's lives. He'd rather focus his time dating older men he meets off of a sugar baby website.
Louis isn’t waiting with bated breath for his soulmate either. He has more important things to worry about than love. Mainly, his career as a writer, publishing under a pseudonym. He spends most of the year buried under research and manuscripts, taking as much time as he would like, much to his publishers' chagrin. After receiving many millions after the death of his Aunt Ethel when he was young, he technically never has to work again. As far as soulmates go, he figures if it happens, he will be so old that he’ll be stuck in his ways. Or he’ll have grey eyes forever, he doesn’t fucking care. He can get his needs met through a sugar baby website.

“Five more minutes, Louis Tomlinson, you’ve got five more minutes.” He mutters to himself, standing to his full height for a second just to give his toes a break from holding all of his weight. He squats back down, pulls his jacket tighter around himself and takes another look around.
Three minutes later, the headlights of a car Harry knows far too well shine into his face. “About fucking time,” He seethes quietly, standing up and walking around the fence to the car. “About fucking time!” He yells to the person in the car, sitting alone behind the wheel.
Louis leans the top half of his body out of his car window. “Shut the fuck up,” He whisper-yells, beckoning Harry over to the passenger seat. “You dick, why are you shouting?” Louis asks as Harry settles himself in the seat.
“What? Afraid someone is gonna be out here now?”
Or, Louis and Harry have been secretly messing around with each other for almost a year. With a healthy dose of crying, an argument for character development and a box full of memories to help sway a stubborn Harry Styles.

Harry nods.
“You've lived here before?”
“Yep,” Harry says, a click impatient. "Think that's what that means. Got an Aadhaar card and everything to show for it."
Hmm. This is going to be a fun tour.
"Well, Mr. Styles," Louis smirks. "Welcome back."

Years of working at London's The Times on his resume, but Harry's worst assignment yet is the one that hands him a direct ticket to the place he swore he left behind - India. His camera, the heat, and a tour guide twice as grating, Harry can only cross his fingers and hope he packed enough ibuprofen.

There will be 2 pov Harry's which will be written only through his blogs and Louis, which will just be normal, his day to day life, I will let you know when Louis pov comes in to it.

It’s pretty lonely being the only ghosts they know of. Not that don’t enjoy each other companies. They do. Louis enjoys it even more then he would like to admit to himself. It just…gets lonely sometimes, you know? Thinking you’ll never be able to interact with anyone else.
So they play. They try to guess who the mourners are or more times than not they prefer to create a story for them, and it never really matters who they think they are or if they are right or not. If Louis could admit it to himself, he’d acknowledge that he knows Harry still needs to check if the new dead body will have a spirit by their side, trying to make sense of this new phase of their existence. Harry hopes to find someone just like Louis found him, and Louis tries to tell himself it has nothing to do with Louis himself not being enough for him. Harry just doesn’t understand how they could be the only ones.
Or Harry and Louis are ghosts. It's a bit sad but mostly just cold and sometimes lonely. But they have each other, tombstones to jump and trees to climb and Louis thinks that's enough. It will always be enough.
