Freshly back from the Refuge, Jack Kelly becomes the leader of the Manhattan Newsies when really all he wants to do is go out west to Santa Fe. Despite that, somehow he ends up at the forefront of a political movement alongside family and friends. Spot Conlon is is there too, I guess.
A rewrite of Newsies, taking inspiration from both the musical, the movie and even the novelization (with some pre and post-canon plot added to the mix). The labor movement has been a special interest of mine since grade school so trust, you're gonna be in for a good time. A lot of inspiration was taken from my own life and my experiences with queerness and my heritage.

Summary
As World War II slowly approaches, David Jacobs comes across the woman who ruined his reputation and his love life. Not even to his husband. Now, as this woman enters Kelly's studio, she surrenders a pair of keys to that particular studio and walks away. Leaving David Jacobs alone and cold once again. With only minutes waiting, David Jacobs becomes the center of Kelly's life. With a candle in front of him, Jacobs is willing to do anything to preserve his husband's legacy. Even if it meant to forgive the unforgivable.

“Then what’s this about, huh? Why are you fighting so hard? Why are you defending them before your own mother?”
“Because I’m one of them!” Davey snapped.
He clapped his hand to his mouth. All the anger that filled his skull seeped out in an instant. In its place came fear. Icy cold as the gravity of what he had said struck him. His mother stared at him with something between shock and hurt.
She looked up at Mayer with teary eyes. “Our son’s a faggot. How… what did we do wrong?” She cried into Mayer’s arms.
“Leave. Now.” Mayer gritted. The words were final, leaving no room for rebuttal. Not that Davey had any. He could not stand being in the restaurant any longer than he had to.

Or, Davey comes out in the midst of an argument and gets kicked out. Thankfully, Jack is there for the fallout.

Summary
A tragedy occurs in the Jacobs family, preventing David and Sarah from getting into college. As much as Davey adores his family, he can't stand the feeling of guilt anymore and packs up his life to move to a small but lively village in the English countryside. Jack Kelly, who had no interest of attending college, spontaneously follows him out of the country, accidentally forcing his friend, Antonio, into it. The three of them eventually make themselves at home. Soon they notice strange things happening in the town, and are curious to investigate.
This is inspired Agatha Christie's Miss Marple series of books.
