They were hardly five steps out of the elevator when Eight noticed it: a puddle of murky ink on a platform nearly identical to the one they stood on. The arena was dead quiet, yet she swore she could hear the subtle sounds of something—*someone*—within the ink. And not even a second after that, a figure emerged from within.
It all happened so fast. Their limbs moved like a puppet on a string, somehow moving with both a clunky awkwardness and the fluidity of an Octarian solider. It soon became apparent why: she would watch as this figure finally freed its hand from the ink at their feet, reeling back to indicate this took great strength to achieve. It held a splattershot high in the air, a weapon identical to the one which appeared in her own hands.
And then, silence. Her pounding hearts came to a sudden stop, waiting with great anticipation while the figure's head fell forward.
While the *inkling's* head fell forward.

It was safe to say that, from the eyes of Agent 4, that she wasn’t the biggest fan of her supposed predecessor. Maybe it was the way she seemed to carry herself. Maybe it was her demeanor around others. Or maybe it was the look agent 3 gave four when they first met. The look that sang many songs of distrust and disappointment. And yet, this was who she was meant to live up to? To be the successor of? With an aura so dark, the night sky could be put to shame? It felt pitiful. This was not what Agent 4 wanted. Sure!” the blue inkling smiled. “YEAH!” Backwards cheered. “YEAH! NOODLES!” Goggles yelled with noodles in his mouth just as quick as a sweet tooth eating a sundae. “YOU’RE GONNA CHOKE YOU IDIOT!”
Goggles helped lead the way to the main Splatsvile turf war lobby. It was so much bigger than the ones in Inkopolis and no elevators were required! The blue inkling gave the green one a tour of the two floor facility and got drinks for the two of them from the concessions stand. Once they drank their fruit drinks, they requested a private battle and went off to their first destination: Scorch Gorge...
After their recon, they gathered their weapons and composure, then jumped into their spawners. The metal contraptions flew up into the sky and then launched the two inklings out.
