1000 years laterVenti is enjoying time with his mortal lover Diluc in bliss. He only now realizes that the time for the meeting is near and that Morax will be hosting this year. Morax can say bye to his retirement plans. He finds his husbands suffering greatly amusing.

The day Xiao learns that Morax is dead, the sky over Jueyun Karst and Dihua Marsh opens up a gray hole and pours. The raindrops are cold, cold, and too cold, splattering on his arms and dripping down his hair and face.
Xiao's sky is held up by two pillars. One is his oath to Morax, and the other is Morax himself. With Morax gone, half his sky falls. The words hidden at the bottom of his heart are buried under the rubble, until they are unearthed by Zhongli.

Tartaglia opened his mouth to shout, when he heard tissue ripping and he panicked. Immediately, the tell-tale acrid smell of an Omega in distress — and pre-heat — enveloped them, as Zhongli’s fingers teared Tartaglia’s collar off.
“Get off! Get off! Ge—” to his surprise, he didn’t have to shout any more for Zhongli to literally jump back. “I—”
“Shit—” Tartaglia’s eyes widened as he heard someone as elegant as Liyue’s finest general swear. “I’m sorry—I didn’t… if you were asking for your bag because of your suppressants, I’m sorry, I really have no idea where our belongings ended up.”
Tartaglia looked up in shock. Not only did he get Zhongli to swear, but also to apologize, not once, but twice to him.
