You see that girl over there fighting her first bad guy. The one who is struggling a bit because she skipped a few lessons thinking she would be fine. Who has yet to reach the point of her life where she suddenly understands what it means to be a superhero. Who everyone looks at in the aspiration of saving them. Yeah, that's not me.
I'm not her sidekick or the one she is saving, nor am I the main supervillain she will hopefully eventually take down. No, I'm just her mentor. My job is to watch over her, protect her, and teach her. In a superhero story, I got the lucky part of just the side character.
