Summary
If anything, Larry Koopa is loyal.
Loyal to Bowser. Loyal to his kingdom. Loyal to his siblings, who he's always had even when he's had nothing else. When war beckons, Larry doesn't care that he's barely fifteen. The objective of war, after all, is simple: destroy the other side.
Only things get complicated when Bowser begins keeping secrets and invites a power that costs his kingdom everything.
Taken prisoner by the Mushroom Kingdom, Larry is forced to strike a deal he plans to go back on the first opportunity he gets. Plans, however, have a funny way of changing before one realizes it.
Mario is is no hurry to trust Larry, or the far-fetched story he tells about the tyrannical usurper to Bowser's throne. But Princess Peach is in danger, and as soon as his friend is safe, he plans to have Larry answer for his crimes.
In the clutches of the usurper, Lemmy Koopa watches his kingdom crumble as a hostage. Escape is his only hope, and just might be possible, with the help of a certain princess who hates his guts.
The odds are stacked against him, but Larry will go down fighting for his family and home, if that's what it takes.

Bowser's known that for a while now. And by some luck of the stars, Luigi ends up in his clutches. A relationship with Greenie will get him the pretty much the same thing he'd sought most from Peaches all along: new trading partners, and a bridge to peace with the other kingdoms. In the aftermath, when the dust clears, all that's left is an odd sense of kinship. Luigi never dreamed he'd end up another parent figure for any of the Koopa King's sizeable brood, but by the time he realizes that's what's happening, it's too late to turn back. But does he even want to? The closer he gets to Bowser's kids, the fonder his opinion of the King becomes. He starts noticing things about the fire-breathing monarch he'd never knew to look for before.
Only one problem: Bowser and Mario have no idea.

—After the attack in Brooklyn, a few months pass before the Koopa Council arrives in the Mushroom Kingdom, with no plans to invade and requesting an immediate audience with Princess Peach.
The Mario brothers, not trusting their intentions, are present in the court and together a few steps from the cage where King Koopa was waiting.
Everyone in the room witnessed the fierce argument between Peach and Prince Ludwig I, but in the midst of all the tension, a high-pitched scream is heard and soon all eyes turn to the green plumber lying on the floor holding his right hand while Bowser exclaims with a terrifyingly triumphant smile —“I knew it! You're my destiny!’’— Mario, who had come to help his brother, looks at the tyrant with fury and before rushing to the cage, the main doors slam open.
—A pair of Toad guards are revealed scattered across the floor and the imposing figure of Donkey Kong, who with a smile points his finger at the red plumber to confess — “Baby! I'm here for you!”
An awkward silence fell in the room, no one knew where to start.
Peace comes with marriage, that's a fact. -

Bowser’s life isn’t going so great. His castle got haunted (a “friendly gift” from King Boo), his responsibilities are taking a toll on him, and his heart just about shatters when he gets a letter in the mail officially banning him and his family from attending Mario and Princess Peach’s wedding. The issue isn’t that they were banned, that much was expected.
The issue is that Junior thought they WERE invited and proceeded to tell the rest of The Royal Family. Now his kids are over the moon, glad that Bowser is over Peach, and so grateful that the Princess is being kind and patient enough to invite him and his family to her wedding.
Bowser’s family is his entire world. How could he possibly break the truth to them? He just can’t.
His only solution is to figure out a way to keep up the lie, long enough to somehow turn it into the truth.
Even if it makes him resort to lows he wasn't aware he was capable of stooping to.

Summary
Bowser’s wife passed away shortly after their son was born. He’s managed to raise Junior for two years with Kamek’s help, but the stress of raising his kid, running a kingdom and bottling up his grief combined eventually got to him.
Kamek eventually told him that he needed a vacation. So Bowser decided to travel the world for a bit. Kamek and Junior would join Bowser on his travels.
