Summary
Jeff Winger, burdened with love for his former study group, knew he would eventually be left behind by everyone. When Troy was bequeathed Pierce's fortune on the strange condition he leave Greendale to sail around the world, the avalanche began, all culminating in Abed and Annie moving on to bigger and better things on opposite ends of the country. Nearly 3 years later, Troy is finally due to return to Colorado, and the study group has planned to gather at Greendale for the first time since their split.
This story details the aftermath of Abed and Annie's departure, and the ways Jeff, Britta, and the others deal with the grief of moving on from their so-called golden age, ultimately coming back together to face their new reality.

Then it clicked, and he stared at her, eyes wide, his heart breaking.

The study group is worried, Abed is empty, Troy is gone.Until Abed shows up at Jeff’s apartment one night, soaking wet and clutching a familiar Christmas card.
Rewrite of that Season 5 episode where Troy decides to leave. Angst and sadness with a HAPPY ENDING bc abed deserves all the happiness in the world ok.
