It starts with a rumor, and, as always, it is fully Eurylochus’ fault. (It really fucking isn’t, but Odysseus isn’t thinking about that right now because that’s—complicated—and it’s always easier to blame everything on Eurylochus, anyway.) It ends with the consequences of his own actions—as always. (Damn—can’t pin that one on Eurylochus. Fuck.) Somewhere in between is the God of the Sea, who’s probably as tired of him as he is, so—at least they’re in the same boat, wave, sea, whatever, on that front. Wonderful.

Summary
Odysseus of Ithaca had always been different. Relying more on intelligence then strength, cunning over pure power, he had always stood out. But, he never realized how much he stood out until he left the safety of his kingdom to fight in the war.
Using his charms to get what he wanted was all well and good, but not if it gained some unwanted attention. After all, he never learnt how to tone it down and now, he's starting to realize that some people might take his actions as further than he ever intended. Add to that a mysterious God that had blessed him with a power that he never knew he had and he was in for the wildest ride of his life.
Oh dear...
Looks like things were about to get messy.

Tired and heartbroken, he chooses to watch the world and observe the beauties and tragedies in humanity, until his sunlight eyes fall on a wonder boy with the desire to touch the sky and escape with his father: Icarus.
NOTE: This story is directly connected to "The Godfall", novel written by myself. This short story takes place during Chapter 15 "The Remnants"; nevertheless, this is Helios' Point of view. Lastly, it is not obligatory to read The Godfall first to understand this short Gaiden. Thank you for reading!

Summary
Odysseus becomes a god after a traumatic event at 4. His great-grandfather Hermes adopts him as his son. He eventually returns to Ithica and becomes its king, no one knows of his divinity or having gods and goddesses as family, in which he’s the favorite for everyone.
He falls in love with Penelope and they have Telemachus before he leaves for war, he only told her about his divine nature before they got married.
The story line for Epic is the same but with different details.
Warnings in the notes, btw I suck at them, and no additional tags because I also suck at those. I hope you enjoy!
Based heavily from Blood of the Gods, I don’t know how to link and don’t know the username but it’s pretty similar and easy to find if you look at the Hermes & Odysseus tag. Please check out the original because it is so good!
Multiple POV’s I forgot the order but it’s pretty easy to figure out. Also only tagging main characters/ones with speaking lines, will be adding more once they join the story.
