    All during his extremely lonely childhood, Sephiroth was never allowed to communicate with the ones destined to be with him, Hojo even making sure he didn't have a pen anywhere near him for as long as he lived in the lab and telling him that there are way more important things to do than wait for people who likely didn't even exist.

    The moment he is out on his own, Sephiroth immediately grabs a pen and starts writing in the hopes that there really is at least one person out there who is destined to be with him. To his utter relief, he immediately gets written back by not one but two people and that amount only grew over the years

    This is how the general of SOLDIER found his true family and massively pissed off Hojo in the process

When she is informed of her future as Hojo's newest lab rat, she picks a fight she knows she would never win. A fight which caught everyone's attention and has altered Shinra's plans for her. When she finds out that her SOLDIER mentor is someone she definitely is a fangirl of, will she be able to remain sane while also dealing with being trained by him? Will she manage to cope being the first official female SOLDIER? But more pressing - how will she use her knowledge of potential future events? Will she save her mentor from a monstrous fate or allow things to play out?

    To complicate matters further, there's a mysterious shadow looming - one that looks like her mentor but isn't.

    Notes: This is a re-write of a story I last worked on 11 years ago. Things have changed and the plot is vaguely different. There are some obscenities, but all F-bombs are censored.

    Update: Sephiroth has to face a question that deserves an answer - is it worth it to seek a compromise?

    They find Cloud, who has escaped from "the Bad Place" and bring him back with them. He and Zack grow attached to each other, but trauma and powerful instincts make it hard to know what's real and what isn't.

    (In which Cloud accidently causes Jenova when he arrived on Gaia, kills her after nearly decimating an entire race, goes to sleep, only to be partially awoken by a heartbroken and lonely Sephiroth. Oh and Cloud is a potential God? Just not one that is recognized to be a diety within Gaia. But Sephiroth latches onto him instead of Jenova.)

Suddenly, Tseng feels like he’s staring down something more than just an injured man in a hospital bed. Strife’s eyes are the most vivid shade of blue he’s ever seen, the mako in them enhancing the natural color rather than smothering it and bringing attention to the slight ring of bright green around his pupils. They pin him into his seat, strip him down and unearth every piece of himself he tries to bury and make him feel small, weak, unworthy. And, just like that, Strife looks away, back down at his hands. Tseng is winded, feeling like he’s just run a marathon and fought off a horde of monsters, but he collects himself quickly - he’s a Turk, damn it - and forces his body to relax back into his chair.

    Cloud doesn't know how or why he traveled through time, but he's sure as fuck gonna take advantage of it. Now, if only certain people would leave him the hell alone and let him save them, he'd be a lot happier about the whole thing.
